"Good Mornin', Frank!" A peppy kerwanian spoke as he stepped out of his ship and waved to his fellow co-worker. The other clearly wasn't as attentive and awake as he almost forgot to close his ship's door as he started walking towards his destination. The man, Frank, gave a half-hearted wave back as he chugged a container full of coffee. "Morning, Billo." He grumbled as he walked beside the much more active Billo.
Hands go to his hips as Billo takes notice of Frank's far more sluggish movements. "You were up all night playing that VG-9000 system again, weren't you?" Frank responds with a dismissal wave of his hand. "Listen, I got that thing for my birthday last year and I've only just now been able to actually play it thanks to all the work Gadgetron has been throwing at me. I swear, it's like every day the vendors keep piling up! We can only ship them out so quickly!"
Billo seems to agree as he gives a slight nod. "Yeah. It would be nice to have a bit of a break every once and a while. But hey! At least the pay's good." Frank chuckled as he took another swing of his coffee.
"You bet it is. I can't wait to use my paycheck to buy that new vid-comic that comes out next week. I heard it's graphics are so realistic! Worth every bolt." Upon the horizon as the two walked, stood a colossal factory that easily dwarfed the clouds surrounding it. Various robots and ships were all crowded around certain ports as countless vendors were being shipped off to every world across the Solana Galaxy. It was the prime way for Gadgetron to make their monopoly...er money. It was their business model since the start of their creation and all the way up to the current year. Nothing was powerful enough to put a dent into their pockets! Well...
Among the bright stars and vast emptiness of space, a dark figure loomed over the Gadgetron owned planet. Upon closer inspection it appeared to be that of a ginormous space station. Claded in dark grey plating in all aspects except for the glowing red dome in the center of it all. Various parts extended and moved as it seemed to prepare itself for a function. From beneath the middle out came a ginormous laser, pinpointed directly towards the planet.
From the window aboard the ship the brownish world could be seen. An older blargian man could be seen observing the planet with horrific glee upon his face. Hands were placed behind his back as he appeared to be waiting for others to arrive. His head turned as he heard the sound of the door opening up. "Ah, welcome everyone! Welcome!" The blarg addressed the group of fellow blargians as they made their way in one by one and took their seats. Each one as old as the first and doning fine suits.
"Today is finally the day. The project spear-headed by my great-grandfather for space exploration, continued by his father and my father, and then completely thrown aside for my envisionment. We are the first blargs to ever set foot in...the Deplanetizer!" A variety of claps occurred from the group.
"Excellent work, Chairman Drek. All your fellow board members here knew you could accomplish it."
"No we didn-"
One of the members in the back is lightly jabbed in the side to quiet him. Chairman Drek takes a moment to glare at him but allowed it to slide...for now. He turns his attention around to the center where the command console resides. "For too long as Gadgetron beaten Drek Industries in all aspects. Every time we have the perfect chance to nestle our foot in the galactic market, Gadgetron is always there to beat us to it! Well no more I say! Today we will beat Gadgetron to the punch. We are the ones with the power now! We won't just defeat Gadgetron..."
Drek gave a twisted grin as he pressed and clicked a few buttons. The station itself seemed to whirr to life as multiple generators worked to power the Deplanetizer and it's main weapon. The laser underneath it began to glow a vibrant and sickening red. Drek's finger hovered over the fire button as he took one last look at the planet. In seconds, it would be gone.
"...We'll completely eradicate them! Goodbye, Planet Tenemule." A terrifying laugh parted from the chairman's lips as the Deplanetizer targeted its weapon and fired down below. Drek's laughter only grew as he watched the planet slowly crack and contort as the energy overflowed through its very core. Until eventually...
BOOM.
The chairman soaked in the applause from his board members as he saw the fruits of his labor right before his very eyes. Every scientist, every worker, every single bolt had lead him to here; To craft the most powerful weapon the Solana Galaxy had ever seen. What was once the primary vendor distribution planet for Gadgetron was nothing more than a pile of planetry debris. All because of him. Ah, it felt good.
"Soon Drek Industries will rise above the rest. All will buy our products, whether they want too or not!" The chairman gleefully rubbed his hands together as he ordered the pilot to get them out of here. It wouldn't take long for word to spread across the sectors. That's exactly what he was counting on though...
