He doesn't quite remember how he got here, in this forest or why there's a small white and green creature next to him. Eryn's there too, she's asleep right now.
The creature is poking at her, trying to wake her up. He watches as it does. In normal situations, he'd freak out, but after becoming a Fencer, it doesn't seem so weird.
Yes it's weird to see a new monster in a place that he has no collection of, but it seems harmless.
He reaches out for the creature's head and pats it. It smiles at him.
"Let's wake up Eryn."
The creature nods, agreeing with him.
Eryn woke up from a terrible nightmare. She took a deep breathe, before realizing she was in a forest.
'This isn't where I last slept...We slept at the inn, this is a forest!' She thought to herself. She turned and immediately stared.
Fang was sitting crisscross, staring directly at her. "Heya Eryn!" He greeted at her, waving.
"What kind of joke is this, Fang."
"Woah, calm down Eryn! I waited for you to wake up here, you know!" He said, smirking.
"..."
"What?"
"Do you even know where we are?!"
Fang's smile turned into a frown. "No...Not really." He admitted, quickly laughing.
"FANG!" Eryn stood up, her hands clenching into fists.
"EEK!" Fang screamed, blocking himself. "SORRY, ERYN!" He apologized to her. She sighed, turning away from him.
"But hey look what I found!"
He presented a small monster with a green cap, while its body was white. She nearly jumped when she saw it.
"AHHH! FANG WHAT IS THAT?!"
"Don't know really, but I already got a name for it. Basil. Their name is going to Basil."
She stared at him, whenever or not it was a joke.
"Are you seriously starting to get hunger so much that you named that after a herb?"
Fang stayed silent, before slowly looking up at Eryn.
"Hahahaha. No..." He started to sweat, turning away from her.
"That's it, we're going to find shelter or a town." She grabbed Fang's collar and began to drag him away.
"Eryn? ERYN? HEY! COME ON I CAN DO THIS BY MYSELF!" He screamed. Basil looked at him in utter confusion. "Basil! BASIL HELP ME!" He begged.
Basil started to follow him, catching up with him. "NOT LIKE THAT BASIL! NOOOOO!" Fang cried out into the forest, but nothing could help him
