Disclaimer: I don't own the show. Alamea, Corban, and Angel belong to me. Nana and Tanya belong to MarionetteJ2X. (Even if they're not all in the story...)

A/N: I hope you're ready for more sugary stuff, because that's…basically what this is! :D (And yes, it's short. lol)

*Story*

February was a fairly unpredictable month: sometimes it snowed, sometimes it was simply cool yet sunny, and sometimes… Well, sometimes, a little bit of everything happened. This particular February, that precise situation took place.

First of all, Cedric and Sofia had decided that they would get married in March. That's right: the next month. They didn't feel the need to have a long engagement, because as far as they (and their friends and family) were concerned, they'd already been together such a long time—as teacher and student, friends, partners, and finally engaged loves—that it didn't really seem necessary to wait anymore. Of course, Cedric had to compromise with Sofia on one thing: he'd wanted to merely elope and avoid a big to-do with the royal wedding and such, but he knew that Sofia really wanted her family present when they exchanged their vows. So, he agreed to an actual wedding, but Sofia conceded by agreeing to have it in Reimagia instead of at the castle. It made sense to them: it was where Sofia took down the evil entity of Kinoroh and became a sorceress in time for her seventeenth birthday. While Reimagia was associated with a great deal of chaos, they also felt strangely at peace in the land. In a way, it was where everything changed for them, for the better.

In addition, Angel had been invited to train with Nakamo to begin his journey of becoming a well-versed shaman (since it was clear that good ones seemed to be few and far between), James got a promotion in his knighthood, Roland earned a distinction for operating one of the most inclusive kingdoms, and…

"I'm pregnant," Amber sobbed pitifully as she sat in the middle of her bed with Desmond, who was trying to soothe his wife and his crying daughter at the same time.

"A-Amber, it's okay!" Desmond assured her, sighing as Alamea slid from his arms to crawl over to the blonde princess, cuddling close to her. "Y-You don't, um… You don't seem happy to be…"

"This is my happy face!" Amber sniffled as she wiped her tears with one hand while trying to console her daughter with the other. "I—I wasn't expecting news of a second baby so soon, but…" She half shrugged, finally more composed as she smiled guiltily toward him. "I…guess that's what happens when you—"

"Amber, please!" The prince moved forward, covering the little girl's ears with his hands. "Let's not scar her for life…"

She snickered, perking up a bit more. "Oh, Desmond. Always so innocent." She leaned toward him, pressing a kiss to his lips.

He sighed as he lowered his hands and moved back once she'd finished her quick kiss. He just knew he was in for it… If this was how she acted just having received news of her pregnancy not even an hour ago, how was she going to be in a few days? Weeks? He gulped as he realized… Months… Would he have to endure worse mood swings this time? Or was she just messing with him right now? He narrowed his eyes toward the future queen, noting her slightly ponderous expression. "Amber…"

She smirked at him. "Yes?"

"…You were faking that moodiness, right?"

"I guess you'll find out soon enough." She laughed at the pale blush that rose on his cheeks. "I'm kidding, Desmond. I'm fine. I was just joking." She grabbed his cravat and slowly pulled him toward her, ghosting her lips over his. "Maybe we should…celebrate."

Desmond smiled coyly. "Isn't that what got you into this situation in the first place?"

Amber smirked. "I didn't do this on my own, Desmond… You technically helped get us into this situation…" She smiled as he flushed darker. "You go put Alamea to bed, and I'll eagerly await your return." She released him before scooping Alamea into her arms, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "Mommy is okay, Alamea. Mommy is just fine."

Alamea sniffled, hugging her. "Mommy okay…?"

"Yes, Mommy is okay." Amber glanced toward Desmond with a sheepish smile. "Yeah, maybe I do need to keep my mood swings in check… Or try to, anyway…"

He rolled his eyes before picking up his daughter, cradling her as she snuggled into his hold. "You don't say…" He then smiled before leaning down and kissing her gently. "I love you, Amber."

She giggled. "I love you too, Desmond." As he left the room, she placed her hand to her abdomen, sighing softly as she imagined another little one growing steadily within her. "And I love you too, little one. Your daddy, sister, and I can't wait to meet you."
