This is the origin story of Nova The Hedgehog from one of my stories and also my very first Fanfiction to not have Dragon Ball in it, Yay. Enjoy!
Sonic Origins: Nova The Hedgehog
It was years ago when Nova The Hedgehog was hanging out with his family and his Martial Arts master who were casually observing him when Nova ran up to his mother showing him a scraped knee he suffered. Nova's mom just kissed him on the knee making it better. "Someday when you get old, you won't be able to get hurt by just a simple knee scrape." That was when all of a sudden, Doctor Eggman appeared out of nowhere and started blowing everything he saw. Nova and his mom were running for their lives when several of Eggman's robots were approaching them as they aimed their energy cannons at them. Just as they were gonna kill the two Hedgehogs, a blur suddenly punched them away, it was Nova's Teacher, Aki The Mongoose. "Get to safety" Rudra said as he punched and kicked away the robots. Nova, although reluctant, decided to heed Aki's warning and it was that moment when he saw his Mother getting shot by the robots. "Mom, please get up, please" Nova yelled as his mom only told Nova to run. Nova tried to get mom up, only for one of Eggman's robots to suddenly blast at Nova who instantly ran away into the woods. Nova was devastated by this particular moment and decided to hone his Martial Arts prowess with Aki, who survived the encounter.
10 Years Later:
Nova, now 17 years old, was finishing his training with Rudra as his sparring partner as Aki congratulated Nova saying "Your training has greatly benefited you, Nova, you are way faster and stronger now. Our final lesson will be on how to focus your spirit into power". Rudra then showed Nova the secrets of this technique. Aki explained that the user must have a strong will and physical might to contain and control their spiritual power. Over the last couple of weeks, Nova was finally able to properly use this technique. "It would appear that your training is complete Nova, now we might stand a chance against Eggman" Aki proclaimed as suddenly in a nearby town, Eggman and Infinite suddenly appeared out of nowhere and both Martial Artists came to fight. At first, the fend off was going quite well with both Nova and Aki being able to easily hold off the robots for a short while except Infinite suddenly appeared beside Aki and fired a point-blank energy blast that killed Aki. Nova, devastated at this, suddenly charged at Infinite who slapped away Nova. After the encounter, Both Eggman and Infinite not only took over the world, they had also defeated Sonic The Hedgehog. Nova would later join the resistance, led by Knuckles The Echidna. After a couple of weeks of sabotage and fighting, The Resistance would later make a final stand against the Eggman Empire and after hours of fighting, Nova and both versions of Sonic would later defeat both Infinite and Eggman, who was powered up by the Phantom Ruby. The Resistance would later celebrate their victory and were intent on fixing up the world. Nova ,despite him wanting to help the group, decided to go his own path and later left the Resistance. Nova later met Sonic who told Nova "No matter what, always keep going partner". "Hmph, my thoughts exactly" Nova said as Sonic speed away on one path while Nova sped away the other path towards the sun.
