Sonic X-Mon: Station Square Scuffle
Chapter 1: Amy and Cream's Fates

A bustling modern, slightly futuristic city stood as people journeyed throughout their daily lives. However, four bipedal creatures in different clothes carried bags as if they had gone shopping. "I actually want to wear this new dress for my Sonic!" a pink hedgehog cheered while looking to the sky. She wore a red dress, red tiara and red street shoes. "I can't believe they had my old clothes renewed when Sonic first rescued me from Eggman!"

"Really?" a cream-colored bunny awed. She had bright orange fur around her eyes and an orange dress with a light blue ribbon. Her ears were about the same size as herself. "Can I see it, Amy?"

"Oh, you will, Cream!" the hedgehog assured.

"I don't think I've seen you wearing something that's not your dress, Amy," a taller cream-colored rabbit recalled. She had a tuff of brunette hair while wearing a formal pink and purple skirt below a red vest. In her arms was a tiny blue humanoid creature with a bulb-like head, stubby arms and legs with yellow tips as well as the tail and head and wings. It also wore a red bowtie.

"Yeah, I don't normally wear anything outside of this, Vanilla," Amy agreed. "Also, I think Helen will like the shoes I got for her." She turned her head, finding a small store with a crystal ball over the entrance. Amy became excited. "Hey, there's an idea! Wanna see your fortune, Cream?" The bunny seemed hesitant.

"I-I don't… really know," she trembled.

"Hey, it's okay. This way, you'll learn who your true love is." The idea made Cream settle down, but still a little reluctant.

"Am I ready for something like that?"

"It doesn't have to be now. It's something to think about in the upcoming years." This tidbit made Cream eager.

"Okay!" They raced in which Vanilla sighed.

"Oh, you two…" she giggled. Inside the store, someone in a dark cloak sat in front of a crystal ball.

"Welcome, you two," an old woman's voice greeted. "Have you come to hear of your fortune?"

"Well, duh," Amy scoffed. "What do you think?"

"Amy!" warned Cream. Amy stopped herself and retreated.

"Sorry…" she apologized.

"Well, then," the cloaked woman spoke up. "Come on over and let me feel your heads." Amy and Cream circled around the table with the crystal ball. The cloak reached out, brittle and shriveled hands appearing from her cloak. Elongated and thin fingers coiling around Amy's and Cream's heads, though soft, it was a claw-like grip. After what seemed like a minute, the fingers peeled from Amy's head, then Cream's. "Thank you… This allows me to sense your aura. Please… take a seat." Complying, Amy and Cream sit down. The cloak steadied her hands over the crystal ball. "Now, to transfer your aura to my ball." She wove her fingers and hands around the crystal ball. "Oh, yes… Yes, this is… Oh, so this is an interesting future. Bunny, would you like to hear of yours, first?" Amy turned to Cream who seemed surprised.

"Can I, Fortuneteller?" gasped Cream.

"Absolutely," the fortuneteller allowed. "It seems that a boy will become a savior to your growth, one of mind and soul, one of inspiration. In days, he will appear and you may have him for many years to come. This may even be one that will be there for your kids when the time arises." Cream's eyes widened in excitement.

"Okay, my turn!" cheered Amy.

"Be patient, my dear," the fortuneteller croaked. "Now, I can see that you, too, will have love from someone in blue." Amy's excitement grew.

'It's Sonic!' she minded. 'It's gotta be!'

"But, what's this?" the cloak gasped. "And… it appears as if this is related to the bunny's fortune!" Amy and Cream looked befuddled to the fortuneteller's words.

"Fortuneteller, what do you mean?" asked Cream.

"It's the fate that the someone in blue has strength in will and power, but he doesn't run from trouble," the fortuneteller continued. "His mind holds his speed, his heart forged in resolution. He brings elements of lightning, fire, ice, wind and nature. Hedgehog, he is one you can track down without effort." The clues made Amy gawk. Her mind shattered, her joy lost.

"One… I can… with… out… effort," she stuttered. "YOU MEAN THAT SONIC THE HEDGEHOG IS NOT THE ONE I LOVE!? THAT'S BALONEY! I KNOW FORTUNETELLING TO KNOW THAT YOU'RE A FRAUD!" The bunny and rabbit gasped, fearful of Amy's outburst.

"Amy, please calm down!" trembled Cream.

"My predictions have never been wrong," the fortuneteller warned. "As of now, your fate is sealed when you entered my store."

"I LIKE YOU TO PROVE IT!" roared Amy. She left quickly after. Mother and daughter looked to each other before going after Amy.

"Cream, not so fast!" warned Vanilla. "I'm a little old to run, and on these heels!" The fortuneteller sat and watched. Later that night, everyone in a large mansion were victims of Amy's tirade. An orange fox with a white abdomen and two tails while wearing red and white shoes, an auburn-haired boy in a red shirt with black sleeves and denim shorts, a moderately tanned, heavy-set brunette woman in a blue maid outfit and an old, white-haired man in a white lab coat were showing pain from Amy's anger.

"All of this for a fortuneteller saying Sonic's not the one for her?" the boy studied.

"That's what it is, Chris," Cream shivered. "Even Cheese is with Big in the other room."

"Probably safer that way," the fox believed. "At least she hasn't brought out her Piko Hammer."

"True enough, Tails," Chris nodded. Amy's rage had her sprinting away from everyone.

"GET AWAY FROM ME!" she yelled before she bounced back and onto her tail. She shook her head in recovery before turning to see a giant purple cat with a white abdomen and huge ears, and holding the blue humanoid creature and a green frog.

"Amy, are you running somewhere?" it, or he asked. The frog croaked while Amy stood up.

"Big, where did you come from!?" she snapped.

"The kitchen," Big replied.

"Yes, I get that you came from the kitchen but where were you all day!?" argued Amy.

"Dear me," the maid sighed with a Spanish accept. "Amy is losing her quills over something so silly." The white-haired sighed to the maid's study.

"Ella, Amy's dedication to fortunetelling is scary enough as it is," he groaned. "I'd rather not push it too far." Big palmed Amy's head after putting the humanoid down.

"Amy, don't worry about that," Big eased. "Follow what you want." Amy seemed a lot calmer with Big's help.

"Sometimes, simple words do help," she smiled. Then she turned to the others. "I'm sorry about the outburst. I was… not thinking clearly." Cream came forward and hugged Amy.

"It's okay, Amy," she eased. "Let's think about seeing Helen tomorrow and see if she likes what you got." Amy nodded, willing to forget the fortuneteller.

"Sure," she agreed. A few days later, Amy, Cream and the humanoid were back downtown and Amy spotted the shop with the fortuneteller. Suddenly, her voice came back… but it was jumbled in her head. "Lightning," "Fire," "Ice…" They were the only words echoing in her head.

"Amy!" shouted a girl. Snapping back to reality, Amy turned to a ginger-haired girl wearing coral-colored overalls over a light aqua shirt with the sleeves rolled up. "Are you wanting to go back to the shop?" Amy spun her head back and forth, denying any thought.

"Why would I wanna go back, Frances?" she snapped. Frances rose her arms to defend herself, her red wristbands shaking with the yellow stripe on her arms.

"Cream told me about that time with the fortuneteller!" she tried to explain. Amy backed off, not wanting to escalate the issue.

"If anything, I would want to have Sonic rescue me again to prove her wrong," she wished. Someone listened in on it.

"That can be arranged," a man sneered. Amy and Frances turned to find a bald man with glasses and goggles over his head. His large red nose was over his thick and huge orange mustache. He wore red and black jumpsuit over his egg-shaped torso. Behind him were two robots with human-like eyes: a silver one with a round head and a breastplate sporting a brick "U" shape, and a gold one with a cone-shaped head and an upside-down brick "T" on its breastplate. They all rode on a flying egg-like vehicle with mechanical arms and rubberized hands.

"Doctor Eggman!?" recognized Amy about the human.

"Besides, what better way to lure Sonic than his damsel in distress?" taunted Eggman. "Or rather three?" Amy viewed the approach as unusual.

"That's rare that you're going after us without any special inventions!" she pointed out.

"Do you honestly forget that I'm several steps ahead for something so simplistic!?" snapped Eggman as his vehicle gave chase. Cream saw that with the little humanoid in her arms.

"Eggman!" she gasped. "Let's go, Cheese!" She dashed ahead with Amy and Frances following. Down another street, two boys and a large yellow mouse arrived. The raven-haired boys were different in height but not by much. The taller was in a red baseball cap, a blue sweat-tee over a black t-shirt and denim pants. The shorter raven-haired had glasses, much bigger than Eggman's pair, a green polo shirt and shorts. The mouse had brown streaks on its back, a pair of red circles on its cheeks and the tail looked like a lightning bolt. They ran from a pink pod helicopter with green propeller blades.

"That was smart!" snapped the shorter raven-haired. "Let's run and split from May and Brock in the process!"

"That's on Brock, Max!" the taller one argued. "Not me!"

"It doesn't matter who it is at fault," a woman from in the helicopter mocked.

"Once Pikachu's ours," a man warned. "You'll have less to worry about!" In a few minutes, both chases intersected where the helicopter and Eggman's craft spotted each other.

"Wait, what's going on!?" he gawked. "I don't have that design in my warehouse!" 'Never mind that I don't even have a warehouse!' A latch in the front slid open and a crimson-haired woman wearing a white midriff and skirt lunged out. There was a red "R" imprinted on the midriff.

"Hey, back off!" she snapped. "This is our assignment for the Pikachu to give to the boss!"

"Then, why are you even here!? I don't even know what a Pikachu looks like, let alone seen one on Mobius or here! And in any case, I need them to lure my archenemy!"

"Then, move your flying car out and let us do the work!"

"Like I will!" Those in the helicopter realized a problem.

"Jessie, we don't know where the twerps led us!" an ice-violet-haired man warned the crimson-haired. He wore a full white uniform with the same red "R" printed. There was also a white cat with a gold oval coin stuck on the forehead.

"Pipe down, James!" the crimson-haired lashed out at the ice-violet-haired.

"Doctor Eggman, what is going on?" the gold robot asked.

"I can't blame your RAM storage for this, Decoe," Eggman grunted. "But this is my city! Either fly out of here or prepare for trouble!" Jessie scoffed to Eggman's threat.

"It's you that has to prepare for trouble, tubby!" she retorted.

"And make it double, for we are Team Rocket!" added James.

"Did ya really need ta shorten da motto, Jimmy Boy?" the cat wondered. Those on the ground were unsure of the situation in the air.

"What's going on that has Team Rocket with that guy?" wondered Max.

"I'm amazed there's someone just as skilled in making things like Eggman!" awed Frances. The other raven-haired saw an opportunity.

"Let's go while they're distracted!" he urged. They ran off, hoping to escape.

"Doctor Eggman, the kids are getting away!" the silver robot reported. The adults and cat gawked before realizing their error.

"After dem!" the cat ordered. The kids and animals ran before a blue streak zipped past them. Amy saw it, her hopes seemingly rekindled. Everyone stopped as a blue hedgehog with a cream-colored abdomen and red sneakers appeared behind Eggman and the robots.

"It's Sonic!" she cheered. Max, the raven-haired and the mouse looked puzzled.

"Sonic?" they repeated.

"Well, Eggman…" the new hedgehog sneered. "I take a little break only to find out your wife came by to help cause havoc here!" Jessie and Eggman gawked to the hedgehog's mock.

"Wha- Wife!?" repeated Jessie.

"You know darn well that I'm not married, Sonic!" protested Eggman. "And if I was, it's not to this ugly woman." Jessie gawked to Eggman's impulse. A snort came from the raven-haired and the mouse, stifling their laughter.

"Really?" irked Sonic. "You two create vehicles to travel and destroy stuff and you're not related? Your life is really sorry!" Angered, Jessie whipped out a bazooka.

"Let's see how sorry you'll really feel!" she roared as she pulled the trigger. Sonic jumped as the net netted Eggman and the robots. Max turned to the raven-haired.

"Ash, you gotta save him!" he urged. The raven-haired pulled out a red/white ball and hurled it.

"Swellow, I choose you!" he summoned. The ball opened and from a light, a large black swallow emerged with red feathers around the eyes.

"Did he make a swallow appear from a ball?" wondered Frances. Sonic, Amy and Cream had no idea. Ash was ready to make a move.

"Pikachu, ride him!" he ordered.

("Got it!") the mouse agreed before jumping on top of the swallow. They flew over the flying vehicles where Ash gave an instruction.

"Swellow, Aerial Ace!" he commanded. "And Pikachu, Iron Tail!" Sonic curled himself and entered Team Rocket's helicopter, slamming into each of them. Swellow zipped under the propeller blades, dislodging them from the vehicle. Sonic emerged and Swellow swooped into for the hedgehog to grab the talons. Then, Pikachu's glowing tail slashed Eggman's controls. Eggman panicked at what just happened. "Finish it off with Thunderbolt!" Pikachu emitted an enormous blast of lightning that shorted Eggman's mobile and exploded the helicopter. Eggman and Team Rocket flew away.

"I swear, we're dealing with too many twerps at once!" argued Jessie.

"Sure, and now dat I tink about it," the cat muttered. "Some of dose twerps weren't human."

"I could've told you that if we did come to a resolution before," Eggman groaned. All of them flew away to the far reaches.

"IT'S A JOINT BLAST OFF!" yelled Jessie, James and the cat.

"SONIC, YOU'RE GONNA PAY FOR THIS!" shouted Eggman. Gone from sight, Ash and Max shared a five.

"That… was… awesome!" sneered Ash.

"No kidding!" agreed Max. "I bet you're still laughing at what the blue guy said about those two."

"Can you blame me?" laughed Ash.

"We all thought it was funny!" added Frances. Sonic and Pikachu returned.

"Not that I needed help but hey," Sonic shrugged. That's when Ash had to speak up.

"Anyway, how come you can talk?" he pointed out.

"Oh, we're actually from another land altogether," Cream voiced. Max saw the little creature and cooed at it.

"Okay, I thought seeing Togepi was cute," he giggled. "I think I see his rival." The creature blinked to Max's point.

"That's Cheese, Cream's Chao," Frances clarified. "But, this little warrior is cuter!" She hoisted Pikachu for a nuzzle, much to Pikachu's enjoyment. "Helen would love you at first sight." The name made Pikachu confused.

("Helen?") he wondered.

"Let's get back to the mansion and clear the air," Sonic suggested. "You'll meet everyone and understand everything." Ash, Max and Pikachu didn't feel they had a choice.

"I guess so…" he sighed. Sonic and Frances led the group while Amy stayed behind, the fortuneteller's voice echoing.

'Okay, someone in blue, thinking fast, lightning…' she listed in her head. 'There is no way this is what the fortuneteller said who or what would be mine. It's gotta be Sonic… but maybe he'd be a great choice for either Frances or Helen. Chris may be out of his league and Helen would fit for him. That… is my mission.' What plans does Amy have and how long will Ash and Max be with Sonic?
