A/N Hello Everyone! This is Akshita! Welcome to Finding Out. I just wanna say thank you for checking this story out. It means a lot. This is my first story and I hope you all like it!

Chapter 1 - Dream Trapper

"You're late, kitty" Ladybug said as she heard someone land behind her, where she sat high up near the edge of the Eiffel tower dangling her legs. "Patrol was an hour ago." It was, and she had waited for nearly 15 minutes before completing it herself. There was no response, however. 'Huh, that's strange' she thought turning her head to see what was wrong. And then she saw it, eyes widening with horror as the cat superhero who was supposed to be in a black suit was in a white one instead.

"Chat..blanc?" She uttered, her voice shaking with shock and hand ready to grab her yoyo to get into a defensive position. When she couldn't find it though, her expression changed to confusion and then morphed into one of dread.

"Wh-why are you here? What happened?" The superheroine whispered, her bluebell eyes staring into his icy blue ones. "It doesn't matter, m'lady." The currently akumatised superhero finally replied. "I'm going to fix everything." He stated, coming closer to Ladybug.

"No, Chat Noir wait I-" She started holding her hands in front of her as she realized there was nowhere to go. But, it was too little too late as Chat was already a breath away reaching out his hands to her earlobes-

"Marinette wake up! You're going to be late for school!" Tikki nudged Marinette. The girl sat up immediately looking like she was about to scream and cry at the same time. "Are you okay?" Tikki asked voice filled with concern. "I think. Just give me a moment Tikki" Marinette said to which her kwami nodded. "Another nightmare?" The ancient being asked quietly after a minute or two. "Yeah..." The bluenette trailed off. Tikki flew up to nuzzle her chosen's cheek.

"Do you think I should go see Master Fu about this?"Marinette asked to which she replied, "I don't think he will be able to do much about it but we can certainly tell him." They stayed like that for while, Tikki comforting her when she finally climbed down her bed to look at the time and realize she was going to be so late.

The girl managed to sneak into the class luckily without catching anyone's attention. Alya stifled a giggle seeing her. "Missed the alarm again?" She whispered. "Sort of" Marinette replied sheepishly seeing it was half-true. "You're the only person who can literally live a block away from school and still be late, girl" The brunette whisper-giggled.

Marinette/ Ladybug's POV

The day went by quickly. Just when I was about to head home after bidding goodbye to Alya, I trip and get ready to face the impact of concrete. When it never came though I feel myself bump into someone and two strong arms catch me. I start to look up apologizing profusely to the person who was none other than Adrien.

"It's ok Marinette, it is my fault too you know. I should've looked where I was going." Adrien cuts me off. "No, it's not, You're perfect - I, I mean, it's perfect - I mean, I'm perfectly fine" I stutter.

"Okay then" He replies hesitantly, making sure I had regained my balance before removing his arms.

'It is the perfect time to ask him out, girl! Do it now! 'I could practically hear Alya's voice in my head.

"A-Adrien, there's something I need to tell -" I cut myself off hearing screams from the opposite direction. "I'm sorry Marinette but I have to go, tell me next time ok?" Adrien says hurriedly knowing exactly what was happening. "Okay, s-see you" I say somewhat dejectedly as he ran into the school.

I duck into an alley as Tikki comes out and I say "Well I guess the confession is gonna have to wait a little longer 'cause there seems to be an Akuma on the loose. Tikki Spots On!" I feel the magic surrounding me as I transform into Ladybug, the hero everyone knows and loves.

I go looking for the Akuma and find it shooting beams at people making them disappear.

'Looks like I'm the first one here.' I think as I look around to see Chat Noir nowhere to be found. I start to inspect Dream Trapper to find the akumatised object.

'He's shooting with his staff. That must be it.'

He spots me (A/N Pun unintended) and starts shooting at me.'There goes my chance to sneak up on him.'

"Ladybug, I've been looking for you. I don't want to fight. Make this easy for both of us by handing me your miraculous." The Akuma says as I call Chat Noir on my bug phone. 'Where on earth is that damn cat?'

Someone lands behind me and just as I was about to defend myself I hear a very familiar voice say, "Meow! Don't tell me I missed out on the party!"

"About time you showed up kitty cat" I say as I face him to explain the plan.
"Aww you missed me, didn't you Bugaboo" He says more like a statement than a question.

"You wish" I shoot back. "I'm guessing that the Akuma is in the staff. Distract him while I summon up my lucky charm."

"As you wish my lady" He runs off teasing the Akuma or the 'Dream Trapper' as he calls himself, making it follow him. "Lucky Charm! A jar? What am I supposed to do with this?"

"I'm sure you'll come up with something" My partner says dodging the Akuma's attacks. I look around trying to figure out a solution.

Adrien/Chat Noir's POV

Ladybug turns away behind me looking for something to defeat the Akuma. Just then the Akuma stops shooting as a purple butterfly border appears on his face. He nods with an evil look on his face and charges towards me.

I get ready to attack but he turns and passes by me at the last second. 'Why did he do that?' I think as I turn around to see Dream Trapper shoot at Ladybug from behind.

It all happened so fast that I could only yell "LADYBUG! WATCH OUT!" before I ran to push her out of the way. That's all I remember before the world went black.

Third Person's POV

"LADYBUG! WATCH OUT!" The red-clad superhero turns around just in time for Chat Noir to push her away and get hit by the Akuma's beam. As soon as the beam hits him, he disappears immediately. "Chat Noir! No!" Ladybug yells. She had figured out her lucky charm but at the expense of Chat taking a hit for her again. It breaks her heart to see him get hurt but he seems to do it every time an Akuma attacks her unexpectedly. 'An instinct' she realizes. She sets her plan into motion to defeat the villain as soon as possible. 'Hopefully, he's alright.'

Unbeknownst to her, the power of the Akuma is not to just make someone vanish but it is to trap the person in the nightmare of the person they love the most. Which means that Chat Noir is currently in his lady's nightmare...
