Before I get into this story and such, as usual I must say the usual following, I do with these stories. Now then, please note that I DO NOT, own either RWBY (created by Monty Oum and Rooster Teeth), Or Galaxy Railways (Licensed by Funimation). This will take place long after the show of galaxy railways and just at the end of volume 3 of RWBY.

I have once imagined if remnant at one point could have been the old planet to where galaxy railways was based at after seeing underground train volume two. It's what inspired me to this story taking place years after the railways became extinct and all railway space travel suddenly disappeared.

But I won't ramble any longer or spoil the story. So now then, prep up Big One, as we are about to see the galaxy railways become reborn as we begin the first chapter of, "RWBY: The new age of Railway".

(Remnant/ During the Fall of Beacon/ Courtyard)

Pyrrha Niko and Jaune Arc in horror heard Cinder flying up the elevator shaft of beacon tower realizing that Ozpin had lost against Cinder and now had the full ability of the fall maiden. Though Pyrrha wasn't giving up that easy.

"There's no time." Pyrrha said as she then looked to Jaune. "Go get to Vale and call for help." Pyrrha then finished as Jaune looked to her with confusion.

"Huh? What are you going to do?" Jaune said as he then saw Pyrrha looking to the tower and realized what she was thinking. "No… No, Pyrrha you can't, you saw how powerful she is. Pyrrha I won't let you do…!" Jaune didn't finish as Pyrrha suddenly kissed him.

However, once the kiss ended Pyrrha looked to his eyes with a frown ready with the intent of shoving Jaune into the nearby rocket locker to ensure Jaune wouldn't stop her. "I'm sorry." Pyrrha said as she put her hand on his chest to prepare.

But before she could push Jaune into the locker. She suddenly was pulled into an embrace as Jaune returned that kiss as well. This shocked her at first until Jaune pulled away. "I'm sorry as well for what I'm about to do." Jaune said as he then rushed for the tower with Pyrrha in tow as he held onto her arm.

"J-Jaune! What are you…?!" Pyrrha didn't understand what he was doing until he stopped at the elevator that had risen from the vault but wasn't working.

"I'm not letting you do this. At least not alone." Jaune said as he smiled to her. "We're a team remember? No one deserves to fight alone. Besides, I… love you." Jaune said as Pyrrha then cried a tear.

"Jaune, I…" Pyrrha didn't know what to say but then dragged Jaune into the out of service elevator as she then embraced him again. "Thank you." Pyrrha said as she then used her semblance to send her and Jaune up the elevator and up to Cinder. However, what they will witness up there will change the course of Remnant to what no one would have expected.

(Deep below Remnant/ Somewhere unseen for a long time.)

A facility deep below ground, where not ever the Grimm can reach, derelict and decaying in darkness sat holding old relics from even before the birth of Remnant that not even the gods of light and darkness knew about.

No one had touched, let alone seen this place in a long time as this had been still standing since the new world of remnant had come into being. Yet in some remnant legends, old bedtime stories of old iron beasts roamed the planet and beyond with an unknown purpose. This place held those iron beasts.

However, none had left this place in a long time, let alone been activated. They all just sat here either buried with dirt, covered in moss and vines, or rusted to a non-working condition. All except an iron beast with a number 001 on its side.

The old iron warrior as legend once called it was sitting amongst the old beasts as it had also been non operation for a long time. However, somewhere inside it, a spark suddenly ignited. A spark of… hope some would call it.

Suddenly panels inside the old iron warrior had begun to light up again one by one as leavers covered with cobwebs and dust suddenly moved on their own as more lights lit up. Eventually the whole interior of what some would call a boiler had all activated while at the end of the boiler was a glowing red pulse like a heart had activated.

What looked like a turbine had then connected itself somewhere inside the old iron warrior as it's headlamp suddenly turned on lighting the dark facility revealing a set of rails that lead through a metal tunnel and ended at a tunnel of dirt that led upwards and out of the facility.

Then with long and loud shrill from a whistle that had not been heard for centuries that echoed through the tunnel, the old iron warrior's wheels spun with a slip as it gripped the old rusted rails as a bunch of worn blue coaches and an unknown car started to follow behind it as it picked up speed.

The old iron warrior then rushed forward heading for the dirt tunnel with what was about to looked like a derailment into the dirt. However, as the old iron warrior left its rusty rails it then moved up the dirt tunnel like it was still running on rails.

The iron warrior charged through the tunnel as it left the old facility of abandoned beasts with only its head lamp guiding it through the dirt tunnel up what some would say would be a pathway to heaven.

This may have been once predicted as the day beacon would fall. But this time, it was the day, the railways return. And not ordinary railways, but the galaxy railways that once roamed space.

(Underground/ Sealed up Mountain Glen railway tunnel)

Ever since the tunnel got sealed up it had still been roaming around with Grimm ever since the train crash in Vale had occurred. As the Grimm roamed around the tunnel, they could somehow smell fear and terror from above and roamed about looking for an exit to hunt the despair they could sense.

But just then a long but dimly heard whistle echoed through the tunnel as the Grimm searched around looking for its source thinking it was a creature to pounce on. But then the sound was replaced by a dim chuffing sound as Beowulfs looked to a nearby dirt wall that they thought lead to the surface.

As they then clawed at the dirt wall, the chuffing got louder as another long but louder whistle was heard behind the wall when suddenly the wall erupted into an explosion of dirt as a locomotive with a 001 on its tender charged out of the wall sending Grimm flying as it landed on solid rails again.

The Grimm that wasn't stunned tried to attack it thinking there was someone on board but as they clawed at it the old coached seemed to remain intact as if they were made of strong metal that nothing could penetrate.

It then whistled long and loud again as the Grimm then moaned and whined as if that whistle would be the death of them as it then charged for where the last train wreak had occurred as the Grimm retreated being too chicken now to even dare follow it, knowing somehow that they stood no chance against this iron beast.

(Above ground/ Beacon Tower/ With Jaune and Pyrrha)

Jaune and Pyrrha had just reached the top of the tower where Cinder had waited for Pyrrha to arrive, knowing she would come after her. However, Cinder didn't expect the dork Jaune to come as well. 'Hmph, another soul just asking to die' Cinder thought to herself as the battle began.

Pyrrha and Jaune managed to keep up a good defense against Cinder's now full maiden powers as Pyrrha managed to restrain Cinder as she tried to keep Pyrrha spear away from her neck as Jaune prepared to make a move.

But just as Jaune had almost made contact, Cinder had melted Pyrrha's spear into three broken pieces as she then tossed Pyrrha out of the way as she kicked Jaune into a flip as he landed on top of the already fallen Pyrrha as the large Wyvern Grimm that was just outside had smashed into the tower's top as Ozpin's office then crumbled.

As Pyrrha was down Jaune then reacted as he then defended her with his shield as he prepped his sword. He then charged at Cinder as Cinder's attacks reflected off his shield and even managed to ignite his sword blade into a flame as he then swung this time remembering to defend like Pyrrha had taught him. This caught Cinder off guard as he sent her flame off his blade and right back at her.

She managed to get up a bit angry only until Pyrrha had used her semblance to lift the cog gear debris and then sent the cogs right on top of Cinder. However, she easily managed to break free as Cinder then sent the cogs flying as they hit both Pyrrha and Jaune, damaging their aura.

This didn't stop Pyrrha as she noticed Cinder had formed a bow and arrow and had launched it her way as she flung her shield right at Cinder. However, Jaune then noticed the arrow morphing around Pyrrha's shield.

He then reacted as he then rushed in front of Pyrrha and still blocked it with his shield. However, Cinder then made the arrow explode sending them both to the ground both tired and unable to fight anymore. As Cinder then walked around them.

(Vale Square/ Sight of where the last train crash had occurred)

Team CFVY was desperately trying to keep Vale from being over run with Grimm but to not much avail as they were getting worn down pretty fast as their aura was starting to run low.

A King Taijitu Grimm had slithered around them and was about to make its attack when suddenly an echoing whistle sounded off echoing from somewhere beneath the King Taijitu and Team CFVY. Then without warning the ground exploded beneath them into chucks of concrete and steel as a large train crashed out of the ground.

At first Team CFVY was worried this was a repeat of what happened last time until they then noticed the train was then flying! It flew straight out of the ground as it had already split the King Taijitu in half and killing it as more Grimm began to notice the large object flying out of the ground and sailing through the air like there were invisible rails guiding it.

Team CFVY couldn't imagine what they had seen as they then saw the Grimm running away or after the flying locomotive as if they saw something very powerful about it.

"Ok, tell me I did not just see another train crash out of the ground and this time fly!" Coco said as her friend and teammate Velvet also wonder if what she saw was real.

"No, that train defiantly did fly. But how is that even possible." Velvet asked as he other team members just shrugged.

"Well real or not that thing is heading towards Beacon." Coco said as she realized the flying train's heading.

(Beacon Tower/ Ruins of Ozpins office)

Cinder smirked with triumph reveling in her victory as Jaune and Pyrrha were too worn down to continue fighting. "It's a shame that you were promised a power that was never truly yours." Cinder said as she walked in front of Pyrrha who was still trying to regain her energy.

"But take comfort in knowing, that I will use it in ways neither of you could ever imagine." Cinder said as Pyrrha looked up to her as Jaune looked to Pyrrha with worry.

"Do you believe in destiny?" Pyrrha said as she looked up to Cinder as she looked sternly back a Pyrrha.

"Yes." Cinder said simply as she conjured another bow and arrow aiming it point blank at Pyrrha's chest.

"P-Pyrrha…" Jaune weakly said as he looked to Pyrrha with worry as he struggled to get up. Pyrrha then looked back at him with a worried look and weakly said. "I'm sorry." Cinder then grinned as she knew victory was hers at last.

However, before she let the arrow go, a very loud and long whistle echoed from somewhere in the sky she then looked in shock to see what looked like a flying steam engine heading straight for the tower and Cinder.

"WHAT IN THE WORLD!" Cinder cried out in a shocked tone as her aim got misaligned as the arrow was then released and landed right beside Pyrrha who she and Jaune also couldn't believe what they were seeing.

Before Cinder could realize what was happening. The pipes on the odd-looking car in the middle of the flying train started moving and then were aimed at Cinder. Then without warning the pipes then fired beams of light like they were turrets and slammed into Cinder as she flew off the tower and was now hovering through the air.

Cinder who had felt the whole blast was now blazing mad as this odd locomotive was now in the way her final victory as well as her hand erupted flames ready to melt the flying train. However, the train then whistle long and loud again making Cinder cover her ears as she could hear Wyvern Grimm Roaring in agony from the shrilling loud whistle.

Ignoring the whistle as the large train approached the tower, Jaune then grabbed Pyrrha in his arms as she was still too weak to stand as he also grabs her shield as well. But then he noticed that the train had slowed down as he then saw one of the coaches' sides just behind the locomotive had opened up and was getting closer.

Acting on instinct Jaune then jumped aboard. However Ruby rose had just made it to the top of the tower also hearing the whistle on her run up the tower. She had then seen Jaune jump on board one of the flying coaches as she was still shocked to see what was happening.

However, she then used her semblance to quickly board as well just as it's side then closed just as she landed in the coach as Jaune looked to her with surprise.

"R-Ruby?!" Jaune said with surprise not expecting Ruby to have climbed the tower, let alone jump in after him on an unknown flying train.

"Jaune are you and Pyrrha ok?!" Ruby cried out worried about him and the invincible warrior who didn't feel invincible right now.

"W-were ok…" Pyrrha meekly said as she finally managed to stand up as they examined the coach to realize this was a hanger with what looked like a six-wheeled vehicle. "What kind of train is this?" Pyrrha pondered as they then heard whirring from above the coach.

(Outside the train)

The roofs of the coaches then opened up to reveal multiple circular domes that each revealed four mini turrets in each one as they then aimed at Cinder while the main cannon turrets on the odd-looking car aimed at the Wyvern Grimm. They all then opened fire as a barrage of laser fire pounded both enemies.

Cinder managed to deflect all the mini turrets fire with her maiden powers while the Wyvern Grimm tried to defend with its large wings as it sat on Beacon tower. However, the cannon's lasers were more powerful than anyone thought and they tore right through the Wyvern's Wing and struck it hard as it roared in agony only to then start flying towards the flying train.

Sadly, this proved futile as the laser barrage just pounded the Grimm very hard and caused it to crash back onto the tower in a powerful knockback as the tower shock but still stood standing as the wings of the Wyvern got burned off by the laser barrage.

Cinder then managed to find an opening in the mini barrage as she then launched a wave of flame at the train that would have been hot enough to melt it in an instant. But to her surprise the flames didn't do any effect as the train remained intact as it then continued its barrage.

Then suddenly the mini turrets then changed their aim and aimed at the downed Wyvern Grimm and fired full scale as well as the Main cannons as they stuck the Wyvern all at once and disintegrated it into ash.

Cinder was in utter shock to see this flying train manage to tear apart one of the largest Grimm on remnant with little trouble like the Wyvern was swiss cheese. She then screamed in rage as she gave all she got on the flying train as it's aim diverted back to Cinder.

(Inside the Train/ The main engine)

Ruby, Jaune, and Pyrrha had made it to the front of the flying locomotive to find no one on board yet most of the terminals were lit and were showing the Wyvern Grimm becoming nothing but ash from the large-scale barrage and Cinder failing in her attacks back on the train and screaming in rage at the Wyvern's defeat.

"I'd never thought I'd see a Grimm that large be defeated so easily." Jaune said as Ruby looked around at the controls wonder what did operate the weapons that were on this train.

"How can a train like this carry this much fire power?! I'd doubt there enough dust to keep this train stocked up enough for power like this!" Pyrrha said knowing that this kind of laser power was impossible without a large amount of dust.

But then Ruby sat down to one of the seats as if it was calling to her as she saw an odd-looking gun sitting on the controls with its holster as well. But then unknowingly she pressed one of the buttons as they all heard a noise coming from outside the engine. "It wasn't me I swear!" Ruby said as the noise then changed.

(Back outside the engine)

Cinder started to barrage the train again after it's barrage of lasers stopped firing but she stopped as she then noticed it's streamlined cowcatcher open up to reveal what looked like large barrel of a cannon as it moved out of the cannon and up to the height of its boiler.

Then the boiler's door opened up as another barrel connected to the first like the whole engine itself was a large cannon. As all the turrets aimed right at Cinder as well as the large cannon.

(Back inside the engine)

Ruby then saw something rise out of the control panel as Jaune and Pyrrha noticed Cinder in shock on the screen. Ruby didn't know what it was at first but after seeing the glass with an aiming mark on it and the leaver that could be pulled back, she realized it was the trigger for a weapon.

She then also saw the trigger was aimed at the screen and in turn aimed at Cinder as if it was ready to fire. Ruby then grabbed the trigger as did Jaune and Pyrrha as they knew there was no turning back. Ruby then thought about her friends even her mother and as her eyes started to glow silver, the cannon outside started to glow to as if it was charged up.

Then her silver eyes erupted into a bright silver light but at the same time she and Jaune and Pyrrha had pulled the trigger as the light from her eyes flowed into the device.

(Outside the Train)

Cinder finally having enough fired a powerful stream of fire straight at the train. But at the same time, the mini turrets, the Main cannon turrets, and even the large cannon on the front of the locomotive all fired at once forming one large beam of light as it struck Cinder fire stream and consumed it fast.

Then in a split instant, Cinder became engulfed in the beam and screamed in agony as she thought back to Pyrrha at how angry she was at her as she then disintegrated into nothing as an orange flow of light headed toward the engine.

(Back inside the Train)

Ruby had regained her sight as she saw that Cinder was gone as she was amazed at how powerful this engine really was. Just then an orange flow of light then entered the control room and flowed into Pyrrha as she felt flames around her eyes.

"Pyrrha! Y-you're eyes they're!" Jaune stuttered but Pyrrha smiled lightly.

"Seems as if I was in Cinder's last thoughts." Pyrrha said as she sat down on one of the chairs. "It seems that the fall maiden's power got transferred to me." Pyrrha finished as she looked to her hands as she formed a flickering flame.

"This… train… is… AMAZING!" Ruby shouted out when suddenly the whistle blew again as the train changed course heading towards a different part of beacon lowering its altitude.

(Beacon/ somewhere on the ruined campus)

Blake was carrying an unconscious Yang that had just lost her arm after her battle with Adam Tauris who was still coming after them, making sure he had no lose ends.

As Blake heard a noise she immediately dodged as Adam almost cut her in half. Normally she could have used her semblance, but with Yang in tow that would have been impossible without leaving Yang behind.

"I still don't care if what you wanted was true peace Blake. The humans deserve to burn for what they done to us Faunus. And if you want to stay by their side, then this is farewell Blake." Adam said as he prepared his sword as many other white fang members surrounded her.

There seemed to be no way out. But just before Adam made his move everyone including Adam and Blake had to cover their ears as a loud whistle sound from above. Adam then looked as his anger then turned to horror as he saw what looked like a steam engine flying overhead as what looked like a bunch of turrets aimed at him and the white fang.

"What in name of Faunus…" Adam didn't finish as the turrets on the train all opened fire as they struck the white fang and him. Adam tried to absorb the power with his sword but after three quick shots he got knocked back as he then saw his brethren getting pounded and wiped out by the unknown machine.

Knowing they couldn't win Adam called out a full retreat not wanting to lose any more of his brethren. But before he left, he looked back to Blake who didn't seem to be getting targeted by this flying locomotive. "This isn't over Blake. I'll be back." Adam said as he then ran with the remaining white fang that was left as the train's barrage stopped.

While Blake was still looking back at Adam running, she didn't notice one of the rear coaches opening up as a familiar red blur suddenly scooped her up by surprise and carried her and Yang into the train as its side closed again and it took off heading towards vale.

(Inside the train)

Blake was more shocked as she saw Ruby hugging her unconscious sister with tears in her eye as she then saw Jaune and Pyrrha as well. "Wha… What happened?!" Blake said still shocked at what was happening. And that's saying for someone who didn't get shocked that much.

"Im not too sure still. Though I think it's safe to say that this train seem to be on our side. I think…" Jaune said as Blake looked back to Yang.

"We need to get her to a hospital and fast." Blake said as Pyrrha then remembered something.

"I think saw an infirmary somewhere on this train. That might work for now." Pyrrha said as Blake took Yang and the four of them carried her to the infirmary.

(Medical Coach Room)

As they lied Yang on the medical table Pyrrha searched around for any bandages to at least cover Yang's wound to the lost arm.

After she found some in one of the overhead cabinets, she wrapped them around Yang's wound as Ruby and Blake stepped outside the room.

"I'm sorry Ruby, if I had stopped Yang, she wouldn't have lost her arm and…" Blake didn't finish as Ruby hugged her with a tear in her eye.

"It's fine… *sniff* It's not your fault." Ruby said as she looked to Blake. "Yang would have delved in either way… but you did try to save her so… thank you." Ruby said with a smile and a small tear.

Blake just nodded as they then heard the train whistle blare off again as they then heard the turrets firing at something down below as they looked down to see vale and the Grimm continuously getting disintegrated by the laser barrages that this train was producing.

(Vale)

Weiss, Nora, and Ren were leading the rest of the surviving citizens and Huntsmen out the city as they were evacuating due to beacon falling. But just before they could make their way through the Grimm invading Vale, a barrage of lasers then started pounding the Grimm, killing them off one by one as it was followed by a loud whistle from above.

Everyone then looked up to see a flying train that was firing the barrage flying above them. most of the huntsmen including Weiss were shock. But the citizens then cheered as they saw that this train was saving them.

Weiss was in udder shock, while Nora was amazed at this beast, and Ren for the first time in a long time was surprised. Then they began to notice that the Grimm were starting to runaway as they were frightened by this machine.

Weiss couldn't understand this. She knew Grimm always smelled fear and despair, yet she never read anywhere of Grimm showing fear before. But before she could ponder this, the train began a decent as it then landed on a street nearby with ease as if there were rails already on the street yet there were none.

As Weiss, Nora, and Ren ran over they then saw one of the coaches' side's open up revealing Ruby and Blake as Weiss, Nora, and Ren climbed aboard. "Ruby? How… What is this thing?" Weiss couldn't even begin to question the nature of train.

"Got me it just came out of nowhere." Ruby simply said as Ren looked over the coach.

"Wait where's Pyrrha and Jaune?!" Nora said in a stern tone.

"They're in the infirmary trying to bandage Yang." Blake said as a tear ran down her eye.

"Yang?! What happened?!" Weiss asked as Ruby held her arm.

"She tried to stop Adam but lost her arm…" Blake said trying to hold back tears as Weiss covered her mouth.

"Wait what happened to that woman Cinder?" Weiss asked being cautious.

"Dead." Ruby simply said as she tried to indicate the train being the cause of Cinder's failure.

"But how could a train beat someone with that much power?!" Weiss as they all then saw Professor Port, and Doctor Obbleck coming towards the train.

"Inconceivable. The old legends of the iron beasts were true!" Obbleck said as the Huntresses were confused

"Iron beasts?" Ruby asked pondering what that meant.

"Locomotives miss rose. Powerful one's that had weaponry unknow to even the most modern-day weapons known today." Professor Port said as Obbleck continued.

"Not much were known about the iron beasts except they once dominated Remnant before its time. Though sadly they've not been seen in forever. Until Today That Is!" Obbleck continued as he examined the tender. "And if my hunch is correct this 001 is a clear indication that his iron beast was the iron warrior, rightly named, Big One." Obbleck finished as Ruby looked to the 001 on the tender.

"But why did it appear now? how did it get here?" Ruby asked wondering how and old legend like this would suddenly appear out of thin air in their darkest hour.

"Something we should investigate later miss rose. However, it seems we still need to re-establish after our victory here. We need all the help we can get to rebuild." Professor port said as Ruby looked to what was left of Vale and the remnants of Beacon that could be rebuilt as well.

"Well, whatever help you need, we'll try our best." Ruby said with a thumb up and as if a reply to the request, Big One also blew it's whistle long and proud.

Phew that was a long chapter. Sorry for the cliffhanger, but at least the tides have change and the return of Big One has come to pass. Yet what of the facility down below? And how did Big Ong reactivate after all this time, and in their darkest hour too? Well those answers will have to wait till later. Until then, if you liked this story, leave a favorite, a follow, and a polite review and I'll see you next time.
