"Keep running, we have to get him out of here!" shouted a brown-haired man with violet eyes. Next to him was his wife a brown-haired woman with brown eyes. In her arms was a small child no older than five, he also possessed brown hair and violet eyes.
They eventually ran into a clearing within the forest, it was a bad spot to be at the moment. The man looked behind him to see if they were clear.
"I can make us a teleportation circle out of here, but I'll need some time to craft it" spoke the woman who was carrying the child. She placed him down and began to summon forth her magic.
"Just do it Miki, they're getting closer!" spoke the guy who was now charging up some of his power. She placed the child down as she began summoning her own instead.
The magic circle began forming, slowly building itself.
"Mom what's going on, why are we running?" asked the scared little kid named Issei. He was woken up only 10 minutes ago by his mother before being grabbed and taken into the forest. He didn't know what was going on or why his parents seemed scared.
"Issei we'll explain everything later, right now I need you to stay calm. We're just leaving home for now, ok?" spoke his father. The panic in his voice disappearing.
"The Bael clan's barriers are taking longer than I expected to break through, I need more time Marduk". The Bael clan had over 50 barriers making it one of the most secure places in the Underworld, their barriers have never been compromised. Breaking through them was a difficult task even for a skilled magician like she was.
Issei looked around the feeling of something watching them was apparent, he was scared.
Foom
A blast of black energy with red traces through it shot passed Issei's head, it barely missed him by an inch. Issei turned to where the blast went, what he saw shocked him.
His mother had been behind him preparing the magic circle, she was now on the ground. The large wound on her back signifying that she had been hit by the blast. She was hurt badly, blood poured out of her wound.
"MIKI!" shouted Marduk who ran over to her. Issei looked at his mother as she laid there in front of him, he stood there in shock.
As his father was attending to his wounded mother Issei looked towards the direction that the blast had come from. There stood a man that he had seen before, in his palm was the power of destruction.
"Marduk do you truly believe that you can act against our clan the way you have and get away with it?" Spoke the brown-haired man who also had violet eyes, Issei them remembered who he was. It was the current head of the Bael Clan, his uncle.
Marduk turned around to face his brother after he finished applying healing magic to his wounded wife.
"You're really ok with this? What does killing my family have to do with anything that our Clan stands for?" spoke Marduk as he began to raise his energy, destruction now coursing through him.
Issei turned back towards his mother as she was still trying to summon a magic circle despite her wound. Something inside of him was being angered greatly, but he couldn't express it.
"A half blood noble is a disgrace to our name, and that creature should be exterminated before things get out of hand. You should have dealt with him yourself, now you will all have to perish!" spoke Lord Bael as he launched another attack towards them.
Marduk immediately put up a barrier in front of them and turned back towards Issei.
"My son, once you mother is done with the magic circle, I want you to leave with her. I'll stay back and prevent him from following you. Take care of your mother." Marduk then focused some of his magic into the magic circle which spread up the process significantly.
Within a matter of minutes, the magic circle was completed. Marduk immediately forced Issei and his mother to teleport out of the forest and Underworld.
Issei looked at his father one last time before he vanished.
Once they reappeared Issei stood up to look around, he was in an unfamiliar place. The sky was black with bright lights shining throughout it, along with a very large bright white sphere. The surrounding area was a plain with trees in the distance and mountains behind them. Issei could also see a town in the distance.
"Is this Earth?" spoke Issei as he stepped away from his mother. Issei looked back at her, she was still very hurt as she had overexerted herself when they teleported.
Issei then went back over to her as he realized that she was more hurt than he expected, almost panicking he knelt beside her and tried everything he could to stop the bleeding. His father's magic wasn't enough to seal the wound, it was only enough to keep her alive long enough for them to escape.
"MOMMA! GET UP MOMMA!" shouted Issei as he began to apply whatever magic he could. He wasn't taught much since he was only 4 years old at the time, most of what he was taught was the basics and how nobles should act.
His mother only taught him how to summon his magic and aura while his father was busy doing whatever he had to do.
The poor child sat there struggling to help as his mother continued to bleed out, but he kept trying.
After a few minutes he had lost hope, his arms now covered in blood from his own mother. Issei sat there, his mother no responding to his cries.
Was this how he was going to go out? He was just a child, and this is what he had to go through. He didn't understand many things, but what is happening in front of him was very clear. He was alone, in a strange place with nowhere to go.
Something within the small child was wrong, the mixture of emotions was hard for him to comprehend. He stood there letting it all out into the silence of the night sky, nothing but pain.
But his calls were heard, he just didn't know it.
While Issei was lost within his own mind a strange magic circle began to appear not far behind him. From it appeared a tall man with gelled red and blue hair, he also donned a robe which matched his hair.
"This must be where that signal was being sent from, but where is she?" spoke the man who was facing opposite of Issei. He lifted his palm to inspect something that was glowing from his hand, a yellow light that was flashing red every 3 seconds.
The man then turned around when he could hear the sound of a child whimpering, the sight he saw wasn't pleasant in the least. A small child covered in blood next to a body which had been lethally injured turning pale.
The man then walked over to the two and kneeled down beside the child. The expression on the kid's face gave him all the information that he could ask for.
"I take it that she is your mother?" asked the man.
Issei nodded, not once breaking his stare at his mother.
"A Hyoudou correct?" asked the man.
Issei nodded.
"Something bad must have happened, do you know who did it?" asked the man.
Issei turned his head to face him.
"Bael did it," Spoke Issei.
The man looked closer at the body the wound clearly wasn't caused by any physical attack. The way the tissue was destroyed made it clear what was used, the power of destruction.
"Which Bael?"
"My uncle Lord Bael." Issei's voice housed some anger within it.
The man looked back at Issei and examined him. After some thinking he pulled something out of his robe, he then proceeded to show Issei.
"Do you know what this is?" spoke the man as he held up a white object.
"A chess piece?" asked Issei. He had seen them before around his home but wasn't familiar with the game.
"This is an Evil Piece; this one is called a bishop. We use them to reincarnate others into devils, I owed your mother a favor for something she did for me a long time ago. Can you turn her over for me?" asked the man.
Issei did what he was told and turned his mother onto her back.
"I want you to step back so that I can complete the ritual, this shouldn't take long child," Spoke the man as he placed the bishop piece on Issei's mother's chest.
Issei watched what the man was doing very carefully, but what could he do if the man did something bad.
"In the name of Mephistopheles, I summon Miki Hyoudou back from the realm of the dead to serve as my clergyman. I hope you find happiness for your new life," Spoke the now named Mephistopheles.
Issei watched as a blue and red light began to surround his mother, the chess piece now being absorbed by his mother.
Both of them stood there as the lights began to die down, Issei watched as his mother began to awake.
"W-Where am I?" asked his mother. Issei stared at her for a few moments before walking over towards her.
"Issei! What's over your arms?" asked his mother in a panicked voice. Issei ignored what she had to say and hugged her, something within him activating at that moment.
"It's nice to see you again Miki. Before you ask any more questions, I think it would do better if we went to a secluded place. Grauzauberer isn't far from here," Spoke Mephistopheles.
Miki nodded and stood up, her outfit still showing the damage of what had occurred, the blood and holes in it being a grim reminder. Issei held onto his mother tightly, not letting go for anything.
"I am grateful that you got my emergency signal, I was afraid that I was too late," Spoke Miki as she held onto Issei, the child resting his head on her shoulder.
Mephistopheles looked back at her and smiled.
"I was taken by surprise when I saw the emergency signal come through, I would have never expected to ever be used. I came as soon as I could have, finding you in such a condition was saddening." He then looked at the small child in her arms.
"The child seems scarred by it, but I have a feeling that it would be beneficial for him. A strong warrior is born from tragedies, I'm positive that he could become a strong devil." Miki looked down at Issei, she didn't want him to go that route. She wanted him to enjoy a normal life, but that is no longer an option.
"Even though I don't want that to happen I see no other way, I have no doubt that he would want that," Spoke Miki as they began to walk towards the town they had spotted in the distance.
"How did you escape?"
Miki looked down and closed her eyes, a single tear dropped from her face.
"Marduk sacrificed himself. I didn't see any of it, but I did hear all of it. Lord Bael wanted Issei killed because of his status as a half-blood. Marduk isn't strong enough to beat his brother, that is why he wanted me and Issei to escape."
Mephistopheles put a hand on his chin, these events weren't rare as he had seen such things happen before.
"I apologize for the loss of your husband. I didn't know him personally, but I did hear of how great a man he was."
"Don't, Marduk was a good man. His death serves as a symbol, I hope that Issei will give meaning to his death," Spoke Miki as they approached the entrance to the town. Mephistopheles raised his hand and a magic circle appeared at the palm.
Soon after a door appeared in front of them, Mephistopheles opened the door. What lay beyond it was a large university, a golden gate that shinned a spectacular brilliance. A lush green orchard decorated the courtyard, a large water fountain standing in the center as the core decoration. The marble pillars standing out against the dark brown color of the outer walls.
"Welcome back to Grauzauberer, I hope you find everything well. I shall have someone direct you to a temporary room until we can find a better suiting place. I did have to reincarnate you into a devil, but I shall not ask much from you. My servants are usually free to do what they please, if you have any questions or request then ask someone for me and we can arrange something." With that he took his leave. Miki still holding Issei walked through the large wooden doors of the building, inside was a variety of different beings.
As she looked around a maid approached her, she was caught off guard by her.
"Follow me please, we have a room prepared for you," Spoke the maid as she turned away and began walking towards the dorms.
After a few minutes of walking, they arrived too their destination. The maid opened the door, Miki then entered the room. Inside was 2 beds an entertainment set along with a bathroom and large closet. She smiled even though she had become use to the luxury of the mansion that she had been exposed to for years now.
"Is it to your liking?" asked the maid who had followed in behind her.
"Yes, everything is perfect," Spoke Miki as she placed Issei onto one of the beds.
The maid nodded then walked out of the room closing the door behind her.
Miki walked into the closet which had already had clothes for the two of them. Grabbing a set of pajamas for Issei she walked out the closet, the boy still laid in the spot she had put him down at. The blood now dried on his arms and clothes.
"Come on Issei, let's get you cleaned up" Spoke his mother as she leaned over to him.
Issei slowly got up from his spot and walked over to the bathroom door, his mother was now worried about him.
Issei turned around and put his arms out.
"My clothes please." His mother looked bewildered before simply nodding. Issei took the clothes and proceeded to enter the bathroom. Placing them on a shelf near the shower he looked down at his bloodied arms.
Another spark within him activating, anger building up within him.
After Issei had finished his shower, it was time for him to go to sleep. His mother tucked him in and kissed his forehead.
"Goodnight sweetie, safe dreams."
"Goodnight momma," spoke Issei as he turned over to face the wall. His mother thought he did this to fall asleep. In reality, his irises were flashing to a green color.
That is the first chapter of this story, I do apologize for taking so long to write this as well. A lack of interest and being lazy made me not want to write for a bit. Now I have been working on multiple stories so that I can keep my mind active without wasting time. Update wise in progress are

I hope that this chapter is at least decent to what you would have expected since I haven't updated in a while. Thanks for reading and I look forward to the reviews. Also, I have already planned some characters to be in his future peerage, but I won't tell you who. I'm sure you can guess a few of them already.
Harem wise, you'll just have to wait as the story develops. Yes, that means that you can hold that question off for now, I'm looking at you MidnightAmbush. I had fun writing this chapter and I'll be releasing the first chapter of Red Feathers shortly after.
