As usual, 8 year old Luna had been put to bed by her mother. Pandora Lovegood told the most amazing stories from when she was a Hogwarts student.

"Mummy, who was your best friend at Hogwarts?" Luna asked tonight.

Pandora had held her daughter's hand as usual for when she told the stories. "That's a good question sweetie. There were a few people I liked to consider a best friend. There were quite a few Hogwarts students who thought I was pretty crazy. But there were some very special people who I considered to be my very good friends"

Luna had always wanted to know more about her mother. She was the most fascinating person in the world.

"Who were they?"

"Sybil Trelawney, Quirinus Quirrell, Remus Lupin and Lily Evans. None of them were in my house but I saw them as often as I could"

"What were they like?" Luna asked curiously.

"They were simply amazing! Sybil has always been kind. She is a true seer. They are very rare. She gets it from her Great-Grandmother Cassandra. Sybil is brilliant at Divination and now teaches that at Hogwarts. People thought she was weird because she always wanted to read their future but she never meant any harm. I really admired her for not caring what other people think of her"

"Is she the one who helped you not care what other people think of you?" Luna asked.

"That's right honey! Before I met her, it bothered me a little but that all stopped after I met Sybil" Pandora told her.

"That sounds lovely! What about the others?"

"Quirinus is very nice. But he is also very shy. He was always very smart but he has a pretty bad stutter. He got made fun of pretty badly and I knew he wished he had the power to stop it" Pandora said.

"I can understand that. But I would never want to use power against people" Luna said.

"Neither would I honey! Quirinus was excellent at Muggle Studies. He's the teacher for that subject now.

"That's nice! What was Remus like?" Luna asked.

"Remus is very kind as well. He always looked quite ill though. I figured out what it was eventually. I never told anyone though. I knew Remus wouldn't have wanted that. As nice as Remus was though, to this day I can't understand how he was able to survive 7 years of hanging out with his prankster group"

"Did they ever pull pranks on you?" Luna asked with a frown.

Pandora grinned. "Nah. Secretly, I think Remus told them never to prank me"

"Well that was nice of him" Luna said and her frown was replaced with a smile.

"Yes it was! And as for Lily, she was perhaps the kindest witch to ever attend Hogwarts! Lily was Muggle-Born but you'd never know it, with how talented she was. She refused to make fun of people and if somebody didn't believe in themselves, it was ok, because Lily believed in them!" Pandora told her daughter.

Luna smiled. "She sounds lovely" Lily sounded like the kind of friend Luna hoped to have one day.

Pandora smiled sadly. "She was"

Luna frowned. "Was?"

Pandora stroked her daughter's hair. "She's gone honey"

"What happened to her?"

"She was Harry Potter's mother" Pandora told her simply.

"Oh" was all Luna said at first. "Poor Harry"

Pandora nodded. "Yes. All of those wonderful friends helped teach me a wonderful lesson"

"What was that?"

"That you should never be worried about what other people think of you" said Pandora.

Luna smiled. "I won't Mummy. I'm gonna be myself at Hogwarts"

Pandora smiled at her daughter. "I think that is the best person you could possibly be"

Pandora planted a kiss on her daughter's forehead before saying "Goodnight Luna"

Luna smiled one more time. "Goodnight Mummy" she said before she closed her eyes.
