Maria giggles and extends her hand to him. He slips the ring on her finger. "It's so beautiful."
"Just like you." He smiles at her.
Maria blushes. "T-thank you."
abbystea drew Venti one day/night and it reminded me of this story bit.
"Funny you mention being allergic to cats..." She leans closer and lowers her voice. "...because you're sitting next to one right now."
Venti just kinda looks at her as she sits back, "What do you mean?"
"Exactly what I said." She smiles mischievously as her eyes flash to cat pupils, linger for a few seconds then change back.

Maria walks in and silently up the bed. The sight of her beloved alchemist sleeping next to his sister makes her happy. ~So cute! ...Did you miss me that much?~
Klee sits up and rubs her eyes. Then she notices Maria but before she can express her joy at seeing her Maria holds a finger infront of her mouth. Then she points down at the sleeping Albedo.
~Big brother...~ She smiles. Maria helps her get out of bed carefully. Then she gently drapes the blanket over Albedo. She leans down and gently kisses the side of his forehead. As she and Klee leave she whispers, "Sleep well my prince."

Maria glances at them and says, "Don't worry, Cecilias are my favs so I had picked some recently." She digs into her bag and pulls out the container with the flowers. She takes two of the flowers out then carefully holding them, puts the container away.
She turns to Albedo and carefully tucks one of the flowers into his braid. As she walks around him to Xiao, he puts a hand up to gently touch the flower. It makes him happy.
She presents the other flower to Xiao and he takes off his mask to look at her. "I can put it in your hair but I'd have to braid it."
"That's... alright. Thank you." He accepts the flower with a slight smile.
"If I can make you smile then that makes me happy." She smiles.

Having just got back into Mondstadt, Maria was told that the Knights of Favonius were attempting to take Albedo into custody... but the person didn't know why. She rushed to where she was told they were. "HEY!"
She came to a stop by them, "What's going on?!"
"Maria! Don't let them take him!" Klee cries out.
One of the knights tells her that Albedo's acting strangely and is becoming a threat. "I don't believe it. He would never hurt anyone."
She walks around them, over to Albedo, who'd barely been able to speak due to what was trying to happen. He's very glad she's there though. She wraps her arms around him and hugs him. The purple mist evaporates as she does.
"How dare you suggest such a thing." She gently kisses his cheek. "Please leave us alone. I don't have to speak to Captain Kaeya, do I?"
They grumble and leave. Everyone is relieved.

"I'm sure it's nothing. You don't need to worry." The blond said to the concerned brunette approaching him.
"Oh hush. You know I won't be able to concentrate otherwise." She reached up and gently touched the spot with her left hand. "Does it hurt?"
"No." He wasn't used to anyone making a fuss over him... but it's nice to know someone cares.
"That's good." She placed her palm over the spot and healed it with her power. "There! All better!" She smiled sweetly as she took her hand away.
"Thank you." He smiled then patted her head gently. She sighed happily.

She walks into the room quietly so she won't disrupt his work... only to find him asleep on the couch. She can't help but smile. "At least it's not your desk."
Then she walks over and picks up the blanket from nearby. She then proceeds to quietly step over to him and drape it over him. "Sleep well sweetheart." She whispers.

"Of course!" She grabs her bag and digs into it. She pulls out a small bag from in it then opens it and pulls out a bag of rubberbands. "I've got colors! Pick one!" She giggles.

Maria walks into the house then takes off her shoes. She walks into the living room and says, "Hey sweet..." then she notices the two of them asleep on the couch. She smiles then quietly walks over and gently strokes Klee's hair.
"When did you get here Klee?" She thinks. Then she leans over and gently kisses Albedo's forehead. She walks across the living towards the kitchen, before she enters the kitchen she looks at them and whispers, "Sleep well my love."

She walked up to them and hugged Aether. She gently stroked his hair. "I'm right here. It's alright. Cry as long as you need to."
He hugged her back. "Thank you." He laid his head on her shoulder and cried for a long time. Paimon hugged too as much as she could.

It's 3am and Maria's about to go to bed. She silently slips into Albedo's bedroom to check on them before going to bed. She sees Klee's gotten herself in an odd position. She quietly walks up and gently moves Klee into a better position giggling quietly as she did.
"Your brother can't sleep with your foot in his face." She whispers. She covers Klee with the blanket then hears Albedo moan lightly. She reaches over and gently strokes his cheek. "It's alright."
"Thank... you..." His eyes were still closed and his expression softened.
She was surprised for a second then says quietly, "You're welcome."

"She'll be back tomorrow." Albedo patted her head. "I miss her too."

A little bit later, Albedo approaches Maria. "May I request your assistance?"
"Of course!" She looks up at him.
He sits next to her on the couch with his back facing her. "Can you please remove the rubberbands from my hair?"
Maria put her right hand over her mouth to stop the giggles. "What happened?"
"Klee was trying to braid my hair earlier... while I napped." He didn't sound particularly amused but not angry.
She couldn't help but giggle lightly for a moment. "I'm sure she was just trying to be cute. I'll have these out in a few moments."
"Thank you."
