Things have changed for the Rugrats gang ever since they now entered high school, especially Angelica, who's been nicer and more mature than her past self as a toddler. She's been also dating Chuckie (who's grown out of his acne and became way manly, albeit with that untamed hair) since they were 14 and 13 respectively. Since then Angelica gave up her popularity status as she realized she was more into her love with the red-haired boy, and her friends supported their relationship. Now Angelica, Chuckie, Susie and Harold were in the 9th grade (Tommy, Kimi and the DeVille twins in 7th; while Dil's in 6th). Things were going pretty smooth for the gang: decent grades, healthy lifestyle, good friends... nothing was gonna ruin the gang's friendship and such.

Some time into their school year, a new kid appeared at the school by the lockers, thus getting the sophomore kids cuious.

"Hey guys, who's the new guy?" Harold asked, pointing at the dude.

"Dunno," Chuck answered with a shrug. "But let's make him feel welcome here."

The three of them agreed with him and approached the new guy to introduce themselves.

"Uh, yeah, hi there... erm, name's Mike" he introduced himself.

"Well, welcome to our school," Angelica said. "And I like your medium-long hairstyle; looks like Zayn Malik from One Direction. Who's the stylist?"

"Just some local barber near home. Besides, I haven't cut this in 7 months."

"He does a good job then," Susie complimented.

"Thanks," Mike smiled. "Uhm, shouldn't we get to homeroom? Mine is in 10B in room 404."

"Welcome aboard our class then; we 5 are in the same class," Chuckie said.

With that, they all walked towards homeroom, where there was the Vice Principal Pangborn. From there everyone in the class was seated except for Mike, whom Pangborn introduced.

"Now should any of these kids give you a hard time, feel free to come to me," Pangborn told Mike.

"Yes, sir," he complied, and he took his seat near Brianna Penelope, one of Angelica's classmates from Junior High, who also left popularity to join the school Boxing club with Chuck and Angie. Like most of the decently smart kids in the class, Mike was rather calm and just did his tasks while Brianna glanced at him every so often.

'He's so handsome and smart. I wonder if he likes me as much as I like him,' Brianna thought to herself. 'I'll try to get closer to him at recess.

At recess, Mike was outside at one of the tables, reading a novel when Brianna sat next to him.

"Hey there, Purnomo," Brianna greeted. "Sorry for interupting ya."

"No worries. How can I help ya?"

He took a good look at her. 'Damn, she's more beautiful than I thought. But then again it's all about if she's loyal to me or not.'

She mumbled a bit until she had the courage to speak up. "Do you like me? Because I actually like you, seriously."

He froze for a few seconds, dropping his book. 'In 5 years a girl actually likes me.' he thought. "Well, the second I met you, I thought to myself 'Man, she's kinda nice and pretty. I think she likes me.' Now we're here face to face, saying we love each other."

"So does that mean 'yes'?"

"Of course it means yes!"

She tried to hug him, but Mike reminded her. "We're in the middle of a school; no physical contact."

"Oh yeah, sorry," she said, both of them blushing.

At that point they both started dating, with Angelica and Susie watching from a distance.

"She really likes him," Susie commented. "Hope their thing will last."

"Yeah," Angelica agreed.

More than a month later, the rest of the AGU group who haven't got to see Mike yet saw him by the lockers.

"Hey, who's the long haired guy?" Phil pointed out.

Kimi spoke up."His name's Mike, and he's in the school here for a month now."

"How do you know his name?" Tommy asked her?

"From Angelica."

Lil chimed in. "Let's make him feel welcome here." They all agreed and headed to his direction.

"Hey there," Tommy greeted mike, patting him in the back. "I'm Tommy. And these are Lil, Kimi, Dil and Phil."

"Oh hey there." He saw Phil's disgusting look, then whispered to Tommy. "Is he always that gross?"

"Yeah, but you'll get used to it."

"Riiigght..."

"Aw, come on. I'm not that gross!" Phil objected.

"You are, Phillip!" his sister told him.

"Nice hairstyle," Kimi complimented.

"Thanks," he replied with a grin.

While the twins're continuing their twin argument, Brianna arrived.

"Wanna walk me to class?"

Mike just smiled at this. "Sure." He turned to the others. "See ya later." And they took off to class.

The five of them look at each other, confused?

"Was that Brianna?" Phil asked. "Since when are they lovers?"

That's when the 9th grade Rugrats showed up.

"Over a month. And let's not forget Brianna changed 180 degrees like me after we left Savannah's group," Angelica chimed in.

"Makes sense," Kimi said. "Now c'mon; we gotta get to class."

They all took off to their respective classes.
