"General Organa, the storm shields have failed!" says Rose. Rose looks scared. She knows about kappa storms. If you only get exposed to a little bit of kappa radiation, you die slowly and if you are right in the storm's path you also die.
Leia says, "I will go out and try to let you fix them. You come with me and go fix the generators. "
Rose says, "But going out into a kappa storm like that! That's suicide!"
"No, it is not. Not if you can use the Force," Leia says.
"I can use the Force to shield for a little bit," Leia says. Rose, still looking nervous, grabs her tools. Still scared, Rose walks behind Leia out into the dark stormy night. Rose hears the thunder as she sees the base silhouetted by the lightning. Leia imagines casting a storm shield over the Resistance base, herself and the shield generator area. She imagines each area, using the Force to shield. She hears the noise of Rose fixing the generator.

15 minutes later
Leia doesn't know how much longer she can hold the shield without the storm shield. She calls out to Rose, "How close are you to being done?"
Rose yells to be heard over the roar of the wind, "Power and systems on generators 1-5 going on. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and now."
Rose yells again, "Generators one through five running. Fixing Six now. Should be done in five minutes, General." Leia sees the hole in the glowing blue shields and visualizes shielding Sector 6.
Leia now just shields Sector 6. Leia says, "Be with me. Be with me. Be with me. Jedi of old, be with me now. Don't fail me now. Be with me. Be with me. Be with me."
Flashback
Forest Moon of Endor, a while after Death Star 2
Leia is running a training course and using her lightsaber to deflect blaster bolts as she runs.
Leia whispers, "Be with me. Jedi of old, be with me. Be with me. Be with me now. Don't fail me. Be with me. Be with me. Be with me. " As the training remote goes in front of her as she runs, Leia tries to catch the blaster bolts on her lightsaber. She catches one bolt, then another. As the remote starts moving faster, Leia misses a bolt that hits her right arm. The remote stops and Leia turns off her lightsaber. She sits down on a soft mossy log and is holding her right arm. Luke walks over and sits down next to her. Leia says, "They weren't with me. I failed."
Flashback ends
Anakin Skywalker's voice says, "Leia."
Leia hears Yoda say, "Leia."
Aayla Secura says, "We stand beside you, Leia."
Obi-Wan says, "As one day you will stand beside other Jedi."
Alyssa says, "In the heart of a Jedi lies her strength."
Leia thinks that she is the only Jedi to turn herself into a living storm shield.
Then, through the Force, she hears Anakin saying, "I did this before on a mission in the Clone Wars. You can do this." Rose looks up from her work for a second and sees General Organa silhouetted in the storm by the lightning. Seeing the General still standing out there in the storm gives her hope. Hope to live. Hope to survive. Hope to have a free galaxy once again. Rose looks back down at her work and tightens the last bolts.
At the same time
Leia sees Rose looking up at her for an instant . She feels through the Force that this gives Rose hope.
She then hears the voice of Master Chi-Wen saying, "We are Alderaan, Leia. We answer rage with wisdom. Fear with imagination. And war with hope. Hope for a new dawn, a new day, a new life. If one Alderaanian survives, we all survive, because our culture lives on." Leia then hears Rose yell, "Generator 6 going up. Now." The shield is fixed. The Resistance will live to fight on.

Chi-Wen is my OC Jedi character who is an Order 66 survivor. He had a major role in a old Fanfic that I'm not going to post because of how bad it was.
I wrote this on my Kindle during Covid-19, and just pulled it out. The time Anakin held back a storm was in this one Clone Wars book. This is a one-shot. May the Force be with you!
