A/N: Guys, this is my new attempt and a new shot with potentially different characterization of Tyson and Hilary. Nope, they aren't OOC, so chill but like I said 'potentially'- implying negative almost. There isn't any conclusion of who was how much right or wrong, it's up to you to judge and opinions may vary- no conclusions and opinions lucidly laid in the story by me personally. I'm so in ears to hear them from you all. ;D Since I've written something new almost after quite of time, I'm pretty sure that my writing style must have been gone down and deterred, so just pardon that.

Pairings: TyHil, KaiHil. Yep it's the triangle but not exactly.

Note: Flashbacks are described and narrated in the midst of the present scenarios. Just don't get confused.

OC: Simone Granger, Fae Brown/Granger, Danielle Brown.

"This is my daughter! My!" Tyson yelled at her face. She stood wide eyed, appalled and petrified. The park's ground of Tyson's house was scorching hot with sun just above them. The elder trio stood unnered however.

"W...what? You can't do this to me, Tyse-" Hilary stuttered. Kai protectively held her shivering figure.

"What you did for love huh?" Tyson scathed, "You cheated on my back, kept lying to me that you're looking for a job." He grunted, taking few steps towards her and glaring in her auburn ruby eyes, "And you kept meeting Kai on my back. How cheap Hilary, how cheap!" He loathed,

Hilary's eyes welled at his words. She looked at her three year old daughter who was fearfully looking at her while clinging to her father's arms.

"What's your name, sweetheart?" Hilary whispered looking at the little blunette in Tyson's firm embrace.

"Simo-"

"No! Why do you deserve to even know her name?" Tyson spat, ridiculing her almost, "Didn't it occur to you once that you're a wife of someone that time when you were cheating me? Now, why has it dawned on you that you're mother of my daughter?"

"You can't do this to me!" Hilary screamed shakily "Just to avenge me, you lied to me, Tyson?" She grabbed his collar, escaping Kai's hold, "You don't have a heart. You separated a mother from daughter. Fuck you, I'm so glad that I left you for someone better. I never deserved you."

Now those words irked Tyson's nerves and ego, both. He seethed, willing to push her away harshly. Simone shivered seeing the intense elders' argument. Tyson begrudgingly stepped back roughly from Hilary's grab,

"Hilary, let's leave." Kai said, glaring at Tyson, and holding the wrist of her girlfriend from back.

"I'm not leaving without my daughter today! She has to know I'm her mother! I kept her in my womb for God-damn 9 months!" Hilary protested tenaciously.

"Unfortunately you can't get what you want." Tyson smirked triumphantly, mocking his wife and holding Simone tighter.

"Hilary, we'll sort this calmly. I promise. Let's just leave now." Kai shook her wrist.

"But Kai-" she gulped, not wanting to cry now.

He pulled her close; she spun in the process to face him. "Trust me." Kai said calmly. Hilary earnestly looked into his amethyst eyes and tried searching hope. She nodded and submissively let him take her away from here.

"Get lost- Both of you." Tyson muttered, watching them walk away.

"Dad... who's she?" Simone looked innocently.

"Mistake." He jeered absent mindedly.

"Huh?"

"No one, sweetheart. Just stay away from her. She's a bad person." Tyson smiled at her and kissed her forehead, "I'm here with you all time to protect you, Simo. Don't worry." His voice quivered, heart felt unsteady and heavy from some kind of loss, "Daddy loves you so much."

Simone blinked, staring into the glassy eyes of her father in puzzlement. His words however satisfied her. She smiled brightly and hugged her father even tighter.

"Kai wake up, we need to talk." Hilary shook him, trying to be gentle and suppressing her urgency. Kai grunted in his sleep and showed no signs of waking up.

Hilary sighed and slumped on the couch, watching her shirtless boyfriend slumbering deeper under covers. It was early winter morning and Hilary was impatient since yesterday after returning from her former husband's house after discovering that she had a 3 year old daughter. She had seen Simone with Tyson at park two weeks back and it was a coincident that the moment she was about to leave the park so as to avoid Tyson discerning her, she heard loud call of "daddy" squealed by Simone.

Curiosity stirred in her. She wanted to believe that it wasn't her daughter. Obviously. She tried to assume that Tyson must have married another woman after they unofficially departed and broke up 3 years back. But her instincts and guts denied all of it. She surreptitiously began visiting the park after then. One day, surprisingly Simone approached her in midst of running and playing with bunch of other kids of similar age. Hilary noticed her eyes, completely like her. She quietly plucked few strands of hair of Simone without her notice and fled.

The next day, the DNA reports clearly gave her the results of what had happened, staggering the day lights out of her.

Hilary hastily gasped, veering her eyes at Kai who was slowly getting up and rubbing his aching head. "Hilary, coffee?" He groaned.

"Getting, Kai." She sighed and got up.

...

"What's the matter? Why aren't you eating your breakfast?" Kai cocked a brow, as he finished his pancakes while Hilary was still struggling to complete even half of it.

"How am I supposed to eat in this moment knowing that my daughter don't even know she has a mom?" She mumbled contemplating deeply, "We need to talk." She looked in his eyes.

"Sure we do. First finish up the breakfast." Kai said calmly, getting up and patting on her back softly, "I'm right here." he whispered deeply. She relaxed and gave a nod to him with little smile.

Kai waited for her in the Study room till she sorted the dishes. He stared at the dusty cabinets and shelfs of books engulfed in hazy flowing sunlight. Years back when he met Hilary at his Company, he didn't know she was married. Neither she revealed it to him. She was always lost and depressed, pondering about something. Anxiety used to strum on her face. She found him a good friend through the days. He listened. He never protested, he never questioned. He believed her. He took time for her, an aspect which according to Hilary, Tyson never did.

Hilary began enjoying spending time with him rather than Tyson who was always busy in conducting beyblade tournaments and hosting other organizations. According to Hilary, he had changed; wasn't the same Tyson he was in high school when she first met him who wore his heart at sleeve and never got tired of spending time with her. Her phone used to be filled with so many messages of him, calls of him that she was nervous to pick in front of her parents. But as time flied and as love's blossoming days seemed by pass by with their dating and marriage years ahead, he seemed to be changed. "Priorities changed." She said.

Kai was the guy she found comfort in those depressing days of her fragile relationship with Tyson. She wanted him. Wanted Kai all the time her heart Tyson broke, her hopes Tyson doused; her desires which he ignored. Hilary never said Kai that the reason of her anxiety was a "husband". She lied to him throughout their bumbling progressing friendship saying him that Tyson was a "he" and a "boyfriend".

"Sorry it took me some time," she warily smiled and took a seat in front of him on opposite couch. Kai dragged his own, scooting near her.

"Relax, Hils. Tell me everything that happened." He pressed her shoulder and firmly smiled at her.

She shuddered as she recalled what has happened, "Please help me, Kai." Her voice was low, but it implored.

"I'll. You'll get justice, Hils."

She pressed her head against his shoulder helplessly, trying so hard to be brave. He caressed her head slowly. Hilary knew Kai will always be by her side. He never panned her, never accused her and always made sure he never hurt her. She loved him because he forgave. When she had fallen in love with him, she wanted to tell him that she was married and this "Tyson" was not a boyfriend but a husband. She was in critical dilemma. Cheating Tyson seemed scary and kind of little wrong but loving him also hurt. It was breaking her through her patience. Loving Kai seemed right, and there seemed to be no reason to not love him. 'He was a little cold and indifferent, but he cared! At least didn't told me that he don't have time for me. He consoled and made me feel that I was important and spending time with me wasn't waste.'

When dating with Kai became her happiness and she thought that she should just go on with life, not caring that she was cheating 2 men at the same time, a thunderstorm bolted on her when she discovered that she was pregnant and Kai proposed her at the same time. It was the time she had to admit to Kai what she's been hiding. Truth surfaced up. Hilary thought Kai would never forgive her and break up with her. And of course, Kai left her much to her predictable regrets.

However he did came back to meet her next week. She cried, told him sorry and felt horrible as a woman of what she was doing and did. Tyson did ask her of her anxiety but she never said. Hilary told everything to Kai that the reason why she hid this fact from him was because she was scared to loose him. She wanted to move on with him because she wasn't happy with Tyson.

Kai flatly disagreed and dismissed her reasons. Kai and Tyson were opposite, almost. Yet Kai explained her that her life was with Tyson now, plus she being pregnant with Tyson's child was something that couldn't give them any chance to pursue their relationship ahead. He accused her of cheating Tyson initially and tried explaining her over and over to move on with Tyson and forget him. However Hilary's side of willfulness and obstinacy was something even Kai was unaware of despite knowing her so well. When Hilary told him about Tyson's true relationship with her, Kai was so angry that he admitted that he was so glad he never slept with her.

Guessing Kai will never accept her, she started telling lies to him about Tyson; that he was physically torturing her. There would be new stories she would narrate with bigger lies each day with crocodile tears and loud sobs to him with days. The worst part- he believed her. Kai realized that Hilary could never be happy with Tyson. Knowing she was pregnant, he told her he would marry her as soon as her term ends. The custody of her child would be of her choice, as per her convenience. Divorce wasn't required if she was willing to leave Tyson, oh well she already did.

"He... he lied to me." Hilary whispered.

"What?" Kai pulled back.

"I had a C section when my term ended. I could have undergone natural parturition but he managed to manipulate the surgeon faculty at hospital." Hilary hissed, feeling so indignant and riled up inwardly, "He MADE me undergo C section. After I was conscious, I was told I had miscarriage. I'm sure Simone must have been with Hiro and Fae that time. It was very carefully and well planned to avenge me. He knew already that I'd an affair with you. He pretended he didn't. I realized this now."

"And you believed that you had miscarriage? You were a mother. Weren't there some kind of instincts that told you he's lying?" Kai stared quizzically.

"I don't know!" She snapped, "I was busy mourning and wailing. The whole world was lying to me for God damn's sake!" She shot, "When each and every doctor, surgeon and nurse was saying that I'd a miscarriage and that I can't even move after my C section being freshly done, how should have I been there thinking they are all lying?"

"What was Tyson's reaction?" Kai frowned.

"I told you this. You know the story from here," she sniffled, "It was all alleged. Tyson willingly made circumstances even worse for me. He indirectly forced me to leave him; well, knowing all well that it would be easy for me to leave him since we don't have a kid now and our fragile relationship was on the brink of being badly broken. And plus, he couldn't have kept Simone hidden for so long. He'd to bring her out soon." Hilary seethed, "It stings me to even think that my daughter wasn't with her parents just after being born. How. . . How was she fed? Who fed her? Who bathed her? Who consoled her cries? Who?" She questioned, her heart battering so much.

"Hils..." Kai stroked his thumb over her glassy eyes, "Please... don't cry. This is a battle. We'll win this."

'We?' Hilary's mind irked.

"Tell me one thing, Hilary. Honestly." Kai cupped her cheek softly, "If getting Simone would mean-"

"Will you accept me with my daughter?" She asked suddenly and fiercely.

"I'll." Kai answered without hesitancy. "Now answer me,"

"If getting Simone would mean you HAVE to return to Tyson, will you?"

Hilary gulped, and frowned tensely, "I don't want to..." she muttered.

"And if you've no choice?" He said firmly.

"But-"

"Just answer me," he cupped both her cheeks, his voice sounding scary for a second,

"You're making me choose between Simone and You. Or... are you making me choose between you and Tyson?" She smirked, their faces inches apart with hot breaths getting tensioned between.

"First one." he smirked back. She rashly smiled and harshly kissed him. The kiss became hotter and fiercer with tongues battling in thrill and ecstacy, driving them in lust and crave. Her hands cupped his shoulder blades in aggression. Sensing Hilary was going livid now, Kai pulled back. He hid his shock and smiled at her. She smiled at him too. Winking, she said,

"I'll choose my daughter, Kai." She got up, harshly pushing him away and leaving the room, leaving him flabbergasted and unnerved. "Because I'm done loving Tyson, I'm done loving you too. Now I've got a daughter to love and so so much. And I fucking don't care if I get neither of you." He stared unbelievably at her as she ostentatiously walked out. She looked at her shoulder and stopped,

"Oh by the way, men are mean. I learnt that today. Bye, lover boy." She said tersely, "You are making me choose between a daughter and an ordinary lover? Pft, what did you think?" Jeering, and scathing, she left him bruised and speechless. Kai couldn't believe her for a second.
Was this the same Hilary whom he slept with just last night? The same one who was blushing, simpering and confessing sweet words to him last night?

"Daddy, I'm sleepy now." Simone yawned, slouching on the duvet sleepily as Tyson read her the bedtime story book.

"Okay," he smiled and switched off the lamp, closing the book and watching her get slumbering gradually. He covered her in warm cozy blanket and simpered in adoration at how she yawned again before completely relaxing herself to sleep, "Sleep princess, you've a day ahead tomorrow. So does dad." He whispered and caressed her head.

'What am I doing? Making Simone believe that her mom's dead? Fair enough with Hilary. But... Simone... I'll never let anything go wrong with you and anyone hurt you. Hilary... she's a toxic person. She was a cheater, a toxic lover and a dominating wife. She cannot be a good mother either.' He dismissed his wife's thoughts and reclined his head on the headboard, wide eyes staring nostalgically at the ceiling. The harsh pain came resurfacing as silence occupied the room once again. When Simone would be awake, his ears and mind would be busy listening to her words, cries, laughter, cheers and priceless breaths. Now when she's asleep, the silence returns and taunts him.

He misses her.

Hilary...

Still.

Each night, each moment subconsciously of day- She's craved, she's still missed despite him trying his whole lot to forget her, explaining himself over and over that she cheated him and was nothing but a mean lover.

'This house... I'm so glad we never stayed here for long. I don't know how much stranded and broke in your toxic love I'd have been if we would have ever spent time here, Hilary.'

He earned luxuriously. So much and always. Now that his health has been worsening, he has retired from being the chairman of BBA. He had earned lot enough years back to live and spend comfortably for the rest of his life and Simone's. This house is a big bungalow that Hilary designed during their marital life. they actually stayed in his Late Grandpa's dojo before. His credit card used to be with her. She had no restrictions on his cash. She could use it anytime and as much as she wanted. There was the simple rule- he would earn and she would spend. And, he was quite happy with it. No hard feelings.

Hilary always wanted to live lavishly. She was spoiled in his money. She never got tired of shopping. She would buy the most expensive ones of anything. Be it her dresses, cosmetics, or any belonging of Tyson or her. Tyson never have time for any of this stuff nor he cared. He had responsibilities- To built his future, and completing needs of his wife. He would accept whatever and however Hilary would buy for him, be it his clothes or shoes or shaving lotion. As long as she was happy and satisfied and wasn't upset with him without sulking, he was fine. This house was her own creation while they stayed at dojo that time.

Each day, his schedule would be cramped tight, giving him no rest those days. Starting from his personal gym, managing BBA, hosting organizations, tournaments, registering newbies each month, updating accounts, updating and reviving new models and types of beyblades, dishes, RIP cords, launchers in market and deciding the prices, training top bladers, laying and updating new rules and regulations each year, travelling to other countries occasionally- he would be frazzled by the end of the day. He barely found time to spend with even Hilary. He tried explaining her so many times that sometimes he's helplessly caught in work and very tired by the end of the day. He had lot of burden and he was doing everything and earning only for her. He could spend just late evenings with her, just the nights, weekends and rarely a day in the month would be off. Being the best blader in the history of Japan and the world champion was enjoyable in his early youth, but now? It wasn't easy, at all.

Hilary never understood him. She would complain him. And at one point, she always complained and had arguments with him whenever he returned home. Instead of consoling him after a tiring day he might have had, she would bash him for leaving her alone, not giving her time and being on his own. He was jaded, tired of justifying himself. With time, his love for her was getting fragile. She was hurting by her cold shoulders, mean attitude and her absolute inability to understand his efforts and tiredness by the end.

When they broke up, he left dojo to leave the bitter memories there and shifted in the new house that originally Hilary had designed. Fae and Hiro were his only family and Simone's only relatives. Sarah and Noah were her cousins. They would visit him every now and then. They know everything that has happened with him.

Tyson was very satisfied and happy with Simone. She never reminded him of Hilary. Her ruby eyes conveyed the good and positive side of Hilary. He never saw the mean and selfish side of Hilary in her. Simone had a light hearted attitude. She wouldn't irk him, cry loud like other children or wasn't willful. She never demanded anything or any toys like kids of her age did or even Sarah did. He chuckled remembering how Hiro would defeatedly sigh at his daughter's antics and buy her so many teddies. Simone wasn't like that. She would be happy with whatever Tyson would bring. She wouldn't force him to read storybooks if he was tired. She would ask him if he's okay. Simone... but, just like Hilary- loved and wanted his time and attention. But she never complained anyway if he was busy.

Nonetheless, life was moving on and he didn't give a darn of what Hilary would do or pull out another stunt to claim her daughter or file a case against him. He was prominently rich and subtle enough to trap her in her own game if she tried anything funny. If needs be, he'll misuse his power, money, fame and reputation to deter her image if she tried to depart his daughter from him.
He didn't want her in his life and Simone would be only with him. The Hilary he loved, he believed, was dead in the story of his life.

Missing her was vulnerability, a habit and he would get rid of it soon. 'I'll never forget what you did, Hilary. You deserve to live without us. I don't care, rot for the rest of your life. You ruined us. Beautiful us. My mother died too when I was born BUT I'm still there. I was a fine kid without my mother, and so will be my daughter. You'll be fucking never needed in our lives.'

He got up and walked to his own room to sleep finally. These thoughts were trailing endlessly, dwindling his guts. 'Once Simone becomes 12 years old, I'll tell her our story of what you did. And I'm sure Hilary, she would hate you so much then. I know my daughter. Simone Granger- she has inherited Tyson's humbleness, not Tachibana's selfishness.'

Kai couldn't do anything for the rest of the day. The shock which Hilary's attitude has given him befuddled him severely. He couldn't stop but over and over retrospect what she said.

He knew Hilary all these years but he never saw this cruel and wicked side of hers ever. Was she simply using him? Was his term of lover over? Did she used Tyson the same way?

"I've to find out the truth myself." He left his house, leaving a message on his phone for Tyson to meet him at nearby restaurant and alone.

'We need to talk. It's important. Hilary is not with me. Come by 5.30m p.m. New Steam's Restaurant.'

A/N: Okay, so here we go. I hope you're interested and liked that new concept of plot and A.U for TyHil and KaiHil. So what do you think? Who's right and who's wrong? Or both? How much? Who's real wrong and negative here? Is it easy to judge?
