I decided to combine my two favorite characters, Brooklyn and Gantu together, and see how they interact.
Brooklyn felt woozy as he woke up. The last thing he had remembered was being attacked by two uniformed men while on patrol, who put sleeping gas in him to knock him out. When his vision returned, he gasped at the sight of the prison bars before him. Where was he taken to? He had to get back to his Clan!
Growling, Brooklyn charged head on, only to shout in pain from touching the bars of the cell, wincing from it.
"Forget it, newbie, I already tried this days ago, the bars are electrified," a deep male voice came from the cell next to Brooklyn.
The red gargoyle folded his arms. "Who's next to me?" He demanded, looking over at the see through wall, to see in his surprise, the oddest being he had ever seen. It was alien looking, blue, almost like a shark, and he was huge, bigger than Goliath!
"If you want to know, my name's Gantu. I was taken here three days ago from Kauai," grumbled the, guess he could call him an alien, next to him.
"Kauai, that's pretty far away, I'm from New York," Brooklyn replied, sitting down near the wall. "My Clan calls me Brooklyn."
"Hmph, I suppose it is a nice change not having to talk to myself," Gantu grumbled, sitting down and holding his legs against his chest.
"What had happened to get you here?" Brooklyn questioned, sitting down too. Gantu growled silently.
"I was just minding my own business when these uniformed men came, shooting me with three darts that knocked me out. Next thing I knew, I'm in here," he said. "Bet 625's having the time of his life without me," he muttered sadly.
Brooklyn put his hand on the wall. "Don't worry, we'll get out of here and back to our homes, I'll make sure of it," he said.
Gantu glared at him. "Huh, like you have a plan," he muttered.
Brooklyn shook his head, not wanting the alien's mood to effect his. If they both shouted, it wouldn't end well, even if this alien was grumpy. "No, but it will come, I think," he muttered, scratching his head.
"You didn't even tell me what you are, for you don't look like an experiment," Gantu said, looking over his new cell mate.
Brooklyn grinned a little. "I'm a gargoyle. I turn to stone during the day. I'm flesh and blood right now, so it must be night wherever we are."
Gantu was surprised. "But aren't mythology creatures like you and dragons, well, myths?" He asked. Brooklyn shook his head.
"Well, I'm here, so, I guess not," he said. The shorcan felt rather numb from this. But then again, he did recall encountering a creature that looked like a dragon when he mistakenly thought it was an experiment. Perhaps magical creatures like the dragon and Brooklyn really were real.
"So, any idea where we are? I tried asking guards, but they don't respond," Gantu asked awkwardly.
Brooklyn studied their cells. It looked like one of those sci fi Area 51 kind of cells. "Whatever it is, some Scientist must've gotten his/her hands on the two of us. Why, I have no idea," he replied, sitting down again.
"We'll probably find out eventually," Gantu muttered sourly, but Brooklyn could detect a hint of worry in his tone.
"Like I said, we will get out, but it will take some thinking. And we'll have to do it at night, too," the gargoyle told his alien cell mate.
The two unusual characters sat there side by side for a time for the rest of the evening, until dawn came. Brooklyn turned to Stone, which was an interesting sight to Gantu, but now he felt alone again with his cell mate encased in stone for the day.
I should sleep too, I guess. Can't believe I've been up all night! Gantu thought drowsily, curling up on the floor and falling asleep.
...
Back in both New York and Kawaii, the two families of Brooklyn and Gantu have been worried for their missing family members, praying they'll return home safely.
Another random fic from me to entertain myself until I continue Brooklyn and the Boy Who Lived in June!
I really did wanted to write Gantu and Brooklyn together since it sounded fun.
