She couldn't describe what it was she felt for the short blonde, well, actually that was a lie. She was very aware of her feelings towards the woman, she couldn't help how she felt and truth be told she couldn't understand how the romantic feelings had formed inside of her.

She always had eyes for him, so the attraction to any other person simply baffled her. At first. As far as her love for him though, she was aware that others had him on their list too, though she was sure that due to her always being around him people got the idea that they were together, and very respectfully never tried anything. More often than not, another pretty woman would come into the picture and then attempt to woe him.

He'd never been the brightest when it came to people, even less so when it came to women who were interested in him. She smiled to herself at the memory of her first love, he was gone now. Gone... in three months it would be an entire year without him.

Perhaps his cluelessness was one of the reasons she wanted him so badly. There goes a saying, 'people want what they can't have' and while that hadn't been the entire foundation of her love for him, it had definitely been a factor. Not that it mattered now, with his absence to the world.

She thought of him almost everyday after that eventful day. It broke her heart for so long, that she had to be one to end his unfulfilling desire for revenge. Revenge was something that she understood but something that she would never pursue herself.

However, because she understood... she let him be. His vengeance was born of tragedy, the death of his mother. As a child he experienced that, and it was something that he had held on to years later.

She had also lost her mother, and her father too. At the hands of murderers who had wanted to sell her and her mother off to the dark market. To be a slave or to be a worker in a pleasure house she couldn't say, all that was for certain was that the men cared not for their fates were vile and thought only of the money that she and her mother would bring them.

Both her parents, their lives snuffed out in the short time-span of a minute. She watched them die as a child too, one man had stabbed her father while her mother had an axe buried into her skull.

The sights were horrific. She couldn't move for hours on end simply because her mind replayed the scene over and over until it had burned a hole into her memory. It was something she would never forget. A tragedy.

That he rescued her from.

She got her vengeance on one man, while her love killed the other two. Her body had been filled with adrenaline and it wasn't until his father arrived that she realized the extent of the damage done to her mind. In a meek attempt to voice her concern on the location of her house, his father, a man as kind as her love, told her that she needn't be so silly.

Confusion filled her eyes as his father had said she was welcome to live with his family. She couldn't process anything, something terrible had just happened to her. Now... something so good came with it? She couldn't come up with a response other than that she had been cold.

Then... he had proceeded to approach her, until he was about a few inches away and begun to wrap his red scarf around her neck. She felt her cheeks flush at his proximity and how his eyes seemed to glow green against the moonlight.

Revenge was something she understood completely. However, unlike him. She got her revenge, and he had to wait nearly four years for his.

A sigh escaped her lips and she placed her fingertips against her collarbone. A spot where the scarf would usually reside, even though she had foregone wearing the material for about a few months now she could still feel his warmth there. Despite how the end of his life turned out, she would always remember how kind he'd been before the world poisoned his mind, she would always hold onto the days that they spent together.

"I can't say I'm surprised that you'd be here" a soft voice rang out. She turned around to face the person who'd now ensnared her heart into a mixture of complicated feelings. This time, a woman.

She smiled a half-smile, "I can't say I'm surprised that you'd try to find me"

The shorter blonde felt her cheeks flush and she looked away in embarrassment. The black haired woman only blushed at her demeanor, she'd been so cute how could she not? A small chuckle escaped the lips of the shorter woman and her crystal blue orbs stared back at her with a curious gaze. As if what she had said had been the gateway to something else.

The taller of the two reached out her arm and beckoned the shorter woman to come closer. Of course, the blonde went willingly. Perhaps, maybe four years ago she'd have been cautious and weary but now? She only did as was told, there was nothing else to fear. The raven haired woman lowered her arm once the blonde had walked up to her, "If you were surprised, I would be offended"

A small laugh escaped the raven haired woman's lips. A pink hue dusted the taller woman's cheeks and she couldn't help but to admire the shorter blonde before her. Her slender body toned with years of martial arts and the brightness of her blue eyes, she was simply adorable. She took a step forward and placed a hand on the short woman's cheek, "I would never try to offend on purpose"

The blonde held the other woman's hand in her own and she smiled at her, "I know you wouldn't, but even so... you've got your moments"

"I do? Well, I never try to. I hope you know" she said with a light voice. She slipped her eyes closed and leaned forward, attempting to ensnare the blonde's lips within her own.

"I'm not as dramatic as you make me out to be, I understand that. Anyway...-" she paused to register the asian woman's silent request and felt something prickle in her chest. Why the blonde was embarrassed? She didn't know. This certainly wasn't their first kiss.

With a tiny silent inhale, the blonde lightly pecked at the taller's lips. A small kiss, an innocent one.

They both looked into each other's eyes, and that one small kiss had turned into two or three more until their bodies were flush together. Pale hands wrapped around a built torso while calloused hands settled on slender hips, the difference in their height was almost laughable, something that the blonde always pointed out.

But right now, it seemed to slip her mind.

"I don't remember you being so forward especially out in public, are we finally going to break it to Armin and Jean?" replied the shorter woman.

"I just thought it was about time, everyone already has an inkling anyway. We aren't very subtle anymore" said the asian woman.

"I've been waiting patiently for damn near six months now, but... are you ready? I don't want to do anything too soon with you, we can always just-"

"Annie, It's been almost a year. Eren no longer is on the forefront of my mind anymore. I held onto the past for so long, I think It's about time I appreciate you more so than I did him. You waited for more than six months... I saw your looks even in boot camp"

The shorter of the two blushed a deep red and untangled herself from Mikasa who had only given her a half-smile. Her head turned back to the makeshift grave she'd dug for Eren and closed her eyes.

Goodye, Eren. I love you
