Hey everyone, Story-San105 here. For the present viewer who haven't noticed, all the chapters in this fan fiction have been deleted. That is because I decided to do some major revising. I wanted to give this fan fiction a fresh start and make it a lot more coherent.
I just released chapters without giving it a read over, I did more updating than actually writing it, and despite the chapters not even being long to begin with, I still took me quite a while. So I think I need to try at this again. Last time, I just deleted an entire fan fiction. This time, I want to do this right and write a good story that I and you can be satisfied with. So please be patient with me. As for Izuku's origin, I'll be taking a different writing approach at it, since it was the one thing I didn't quite have the joy to write.
So some specifics for this fan fiction for those tuning in.
As the starting point, Izuku will be operating as a vigilante for about 3 months before the UA Exam. Meaning he spent the last 7 months honing his abilities. Yes, he will be a vigilante in this fan fiction. Sorry, any people who wanted him to be a hero in this. Some would argue that he always wanted to be a hero but it's not as simple as that. He wants to be a hero like All Might. What kind of hero is All Might? One that saves people with a smile on his face. That's what Izuku would rather do, save people. He doesn't necessarily have to be a hero to do it. Besides, with his current power set(being Spider-Man's), he is vastly superior to most of the 1-A students in UA. So it's better to set him up against opponents that could fairly match him. Or even prove a challenge. But don't worry, I will at least provide a reason for him to do what he is doing.
Now for the fun part: the powers.
I'll be using some of the skill set from Spider-Man 2099's as Izuku's. Not many people actually utilize it despite how unique it is. Maybe because he wasn't at first meant to be an alternate Spider-Man but a successor of the original. In instead of using his talons, he'll still be able to stick to surfaces like any other normal Spider-Man. Wall Crawling seemed more convenient in more situations. Something he won't have is the fangs. Despite this, he'll still have the other unique powers of 2099 and some extras. But the powers unique to 2099 are as stated:
Accelerated Decoy
Accelerated Vision
Enhanced Senses
Telepathy
Accelerated Healing - Longevity
Spinnerets
It has been emphasized that 2099 has a better healing factor than most Spider-Men. His body will always continue to produce healthy cells which always leaves him in peak health. It's even good to the point that he can age much slower. Thanks to the healing factor, he was able to be Spider-Man for many years. It'll definitely help with him being a vigilante where going to the hospital isn't an option.
It should also be made clear that Izuku does not have the traditional Spider-Sense much like Miguel but utilizes his enhanced hearing and Accelerated Vision as a substitute. Meaning it would be hard to sneak up on him. As for how enhanced I want his senses to be It would be better than most and not on par with Daredevil's. He'll definitely won't have Daredevil's Radar Sense, that's for sure. Bottom line, Enhanced Senses.
Telepathy is apparently a power that was supposed to be an extension of 2099's Spider-Sense manifesting in a different way.
Izuku will have web shooters as a way to enhance the limited usage of his natural webs. He would only be able to make strings, spider webs and cocoons without any web shooters. Not to mention how they would tend to splatter from time to time. The web shooters serve the purpose of creating more complex web constructs like weapons, parachutes, swings(has been done before) etc. Hey maybe electric and ionic webbing(from Amazing Spider Man 2: The Video Game) is a possibility. If he is unable to utilize his organic webbing, he could even use artificial ones. So the shooters will act as a support item.
Some tweaks to his powers is that he can see 360 degrees with his vision. Like the Hyuuga are able to with their Byakugan. Basically if he had eyes on the back of of his head and two other pairs on the sides of his heads.
Telepathy, Accelerated Decoy and Hyper Sense will be abilities unlocked later. Also Radio Frequencey is an ability the regular Spider-Man has but not as pronounced. So he'll have it here.
Unlike the regular Spider-Sense, Izuku can detect hostile intent. Like an animal instinct. This applies to living things more than anything. It would be his way of detecting villains or criminals. There would be two kinds on tingling sensations. The first would be detecting new hostiles in the area. It would be loud or soft depending on the distance. The second one would act like a radar that continues to buzz when there are threats within the immediate area. Even if threats were previously recognized they would still be noticed by the Hostile Sense. If he detects hostile intent face to face. It alert him and then switch off once it's been recognized. Basically if any threat in the area has been recognized and seen by him, his Hostile Sense would stop buzzing unless the hostiles leave the area, new ones enter or he leaves. So there it is.
Basically Izuku has 3 variations of Spider-Sense. Telepathy and Hostile Sense and Radio Frequency. While his Hostile-Sense can always be active, he needs to activate the other two senses.
The kind of Spider-Man That I'm trying to go for is the one that's very speedy in combat and is very good at tracking and detection.
Speed: Accelerated Vision, Accelerated Decoy, Hyper Sense
Detection/Tracking: Accelerated Vision, Enhanced Senses, Hostile Sense, Radio Frequency, Telepathy
It really does differentiate him from most Spidey's ya know? A lot of people like to use Miles or Peter as a base set. The powers may be plenty, but they aren't as combative as they would usually be.
Also Villains for the story.
I want to balance between using MHA villains and Spider-Man villains in the story. Like maybe have the equivalent of Spider-Man villains in MHA with vastly different origins and power sets where you could at least make the connection between the original ones, but vastly different. Then there are great MHA villains that could make up Izuku's rouges gallery. Then there are OC villains which would at the very least, create some diversity. I'm excited ya know. I hope I can deliver well enough.
