Sirena looked up at her father, a toothy grin and light pink hair wild in imitation of his own, and with her grubby little hands held out a single pink flower.
"Look daddy at wha' I can do!" She squealed as the flower grew twice in size, and then twice as small, and bounced back between the two sizes.
"Oi!" Rubeus exclaimed in parental glee.
While he and Wren knew that little Sirena was a witch shortly after birth due to her hair changing from a dark brown to a light magenta for a few minutes and then back (the reveal of her being a metamorphmagus), this was the first time she gained enough control to cause something to bend to her own will.
" 'Ave yeh shown yer mummy yet?" Rubeus asked her, when he noticed her growing tired of her newfound ability.
Sirena didn't answer and just watched as the flower turned to a sickly colour and wilted in her hands, and waited for it to fall to pieces. Then she looked up and said with a mischievous grin, "Not yet Daddy, I'm waitin'!"
"Waitin' fer what?" Rubeus asked aloud.
"Fer da righ' moment," She told him, bursting into giggles as she pictured up ways to spook her mum.
