RWBY Reloaded: Volume Alterations.
This series is intended to go Chapter by Chapter of each Volume of RWBY Reloaded. It details some of the major changes between the main timeline and this one. But of course, some small details may get lost in translation. It will update with a Volume Breakdown each time a new Volume is fully released on the main story.
Volume 4 Prologue
· Reuben was not in the Beacon Academy vault in the main timeline.
· Ruby Rose using her silver eyes for the first time has no bigger impact on the story.
· Her using her silver eyes, and the effects it has on the Relics is similar to Superman's Death scream in Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Volume 4: Chapter 2
· There is the running theme throughout RWBY Reloaded that is started here. How does everyone pay for everything? The simple answer is, charging people to remove Grimm. Like a pest extermination service.
· Raven Branwen appears and sets the tone for the rest of the Series.
· Originally, Raven Branwen was supposed to win the first fight. This was changed in Post-Production.
Volume 4: Chapter 3
· This chapter is predicated on the newfound power Raven wields. It shows that at this point in time, she has not mastered her abilities. This is based off of the fact that she likely would not have had her power for years in canon Volume 5 but had to master it quickly.
· The only reason Reuben wins this fight is because Raven runs out of energy. But in the series proper, it is never expanded on if Maidens can run out of energy. He can keep evolving, sure, but her raw power would keep him on the back foot indefinitely.
· The check up with Team RNJR is 100% canon to the same scene in Volume 4. Detailing how some events in this timeline play out exactly like in the show.
· Reuben has a moral code, to not kill his opponents. This is touched on in later Volumes but first appears her when he does not kill Raven.
Volume 4: Chapter 4
· Like the previous chapter, most of the opening scene is taken verbatim from Volume 4. However, Raven is injured from her battle and Qrow knows who likely did it.
· Qrow is searching for the Atlas Superman to recruit him. Qrow reasons that if Reuben were on his side, the trip would go smoother.
· Raven already formed a link to Reuben's house. Kind of like a last location you visited on a GPS.
· Raven offers sexual favors in return for training. Of course, this doesn't happen in the main story, but overtime, she grows a heart again. Even if done now out of desperation.
Volume 4: Chapter 5
· Raven's progress is due to her being a skilled warrior and never backing down. Her anger, much like Yang's is a catalyst for her using up too much of her energy.
· This flashback sets up the role of Winter Schnee and James Ironwood going forward. This would be paid off by the time the Atlas Arc rolls around. Winter Schnee is determined to prove herself at all costs. While Ironwood firmly believes Reuben's Semblance, name Pure Progress can bring Remnant under the protection of Atlas. I: e an Atlesian Empire.
· Reuben scroll in Volume 4 is connected to a global Huntsmen network used for emergencies. Tyrian, a well-known terrorist with an active bounty would qualify.
· Tyrian has become obsessed with Reuben. He reveals the former title of Reuben as the Atlas Superman. Some of the dialogue near the end is taken from The Dark Knight, alluding to how Tyrian is much like the Joker in that movie.
Volume 4: Chapter 6.
The opening shows the reader early on Leo's betrayal. Him knowingly sending Huntsmen to their deaths.
The scene contains an error that was not fixed in Post-Production. Mantle is supposed to be Mistral.
The same scene has the message which states Licensed Huntsmen only, and will be paid when the mission is done, is meant to lure out the last of them. Reuben only receives the message because his Scroll is linked to all Networks.
The Atlas Ball is fused together with Original Volume 4 content and RWBY Reloaded elements. The introduction of Sam Henry is not only important to Atlas but he is Important to Weiss Schnee.
The final scene sets up the next chapter and the proceeding Volumes. The Huntsmen for hire and Reuben all turn on Haven Academy and their corrupt Council.
Volume 4: Chapter 7
· The opening scene is entirely original. With realistically, Reuben's team being tired after their march. Overthrowing a council is har, ask Napoleon Bonaparte.
· This scene is another fusion of Canon and RWBY Reloaded. Tyrian talks about Reuben but does not refer to him by name. It largely plays out the same.
· The death of Headmaster Leo was for two reasons. To show Raven is not turning good anytime soon. Secondly, because his damn name kept being misspelled. Reuben also wanted to spare him for interrogation but is rendered moot by his death.
Volume 4: Chapter 8
· This scene is mostly the same as in canon. With the exception of Jaune stopping Ruby from being involved. Due to his Injuries, Tyrian is unable to strike the same stinger blow at Qrow. Reuben damaged his venomous vein, stopping the flow of Venom and altering history. The ending sets up Henri Ducard, assistant Headmaster to Reuben Clark.
· The next scene is once again, original. Detailing Watt's return to Salem's castle. Cinder wants to head out and carry on the plan. Salem denies this and calls her Cinder Rhodes, her last name in this universe.
· The end scene sets up the relationship between Ironwood and Winter. His mind has been altered since the Fall of Beacon. The Relics illuminated, and Ironwood stood underneath where the Relic of Knowledge was. The crown has the power to give people visions of the future involuntarily. James Ironwood will have more nightmares in the future and will deepen his paranoia.
Volume 4: Chapter 9
· This entire Chapter is Original. Ozpin will remain as a small force in Oscar's mind. Slowly expositioning to the young man. The handshake between Reuben and Jaune has a tense moment and is expanded upon in an Alternate Timeline. Reuben has been to the vault at this point, with Raven taking him there.
· The scene with Weiss moving into Sam Henry's mansion is very different from the original series. Jacques decided to kick out Weiss, and she goes to the only place she knows that will take her in. Deepening their relationship.
· Blake has a small scene in Menagerie, but for the most part, her storyline is not touched on. This is because even with Reuben, it remains mostly the same.
· The scene between the Branwen siblings is necessary to the overall series. Raven justifies her decision to kill Leo, while getting Qrow up to speed.
· This final scene between Reuben and Ozpin speaking through Ozpin is very confrontational. It mimics that of Volume 6, when the team finds out the same information. Reuben is disgusted by Ozpin's actions, and the countless lives being lost for little gain, akin to World War I. Ozpin will in future chapters clash more often with Reuben. Ozpin feels as if he is justified, and Reuben wants to end the war with as little deaths as possible.
· Haven Academy becomes the base of the group going forward. A place where Team RNJR, and Qrow can live and relax instead of trudging about. Haven Academy lives up to its name and helps the group in the long run much like Beacon did.
So, this has been the RWBY Reloaded Volume Breakdown!
