Feeling This is Like to Fall Awake
By SMYGO4EVA

Like pools of black ink, the darkened night skies were almost endless above. Saya knew it was best to come alone; there was no need to attract any unwanted attention, and no lives would be lost.

The moon hung safely in the glittering ceiling of stars, the light enough for what was to entail. Looking around, cautious, her sword by her hip, she walked towards the deep, dark cavern in front.

Standing guard by the cave, the Counter Guardian Archer looked upon her, his arms crossed, his eyes focused, and unyielding.

"I was wondering when you would show up." He spoke, relaxing a little, but still with a grim look on his features.

"I wouldn't back out of this arrangement, and I had to make sure I wasn't followed." Saya replied, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

Archer nodded. "Fair enough; you're a seasoned warrior, I can tell that much."

Saya cracked a small smile, and they both ventured into the caverns, the moonlight the only source of illumination for them. They finally settled onto the cave boulders, not far from the entrance, but close enough to see any enemies who would want to strike them down.

Archer looked around their agreed spot as Saya sunk to the ground, setting her sword in its sheath by her side. The Counter Guardian couldn't help but gaze upon Saya, dark-eyed and lovely, as she dusted herself off of any dirt and debris on her arms and legs.

It was undeniable. She was capable of such bloodshed as he was, yet she still wished for even a moment's peace away from the endless conflict, just as he did so long ago.

Archer rubbed the back of his neck, and then sat down beside her. "Just so we're clear, not a word has been spoken about this, about us." he said, hopefully.

Saya tossed him a demure look, nodding affirmatively. "That's right; do you still have a reason to not trust me?" she asked.

"Yes and no, but mostly no."

Saya made a knowing noise. "That's fair. I still have my doubts, but I guess we both have things to keep close to ourselves, to never speak of." She murmured, her voice almost wistful.

"You are correct about that, Saya."

It was undeniable to him, and to her as well.

"Archer," she whispered, inching closer to the Heroic Spirit, and he stilled.

It couldn't happen again: being made into scapegoat, executed, and losing those he truly loved.

It couldn't happen again: betrayed, brutalized, and tossed aside by those who she thought loved her.

"I'm sorry," he whispered back, voice breaking.

"No, the fault was all mine." Saya looked upon Archer with a rueful expression, continuing, "There is much we could have done, and what is beyond our control."

He clenched his fists, his form shaking, before he breathed in long, and let out a haggard sigh.

"Saya…"

"Archer…"

Moving closer, the space between them broken, Saya touched Archer's cheek, her palm warm on his face. "We can forget, at least, only for a little while."

A pause, and then Archer smiled. "That's enough for me," he uttered.

Saya smiled in return, and wrapped an open hand to his neck, drawing him closer. She pressed her lips against his, and he could only reciprocate such a gesture. Such closeness was what they always wanted, and they weren't going to let it pass them by.

If only this was a different lifetime, then there would be room for regrets.

Archer pulled Saya close to him, his hands upon her supple breasts, holding them there. Breaking their kiss for only a moment, she unbuttoned her shirt, open and bare. She placed his hands back on her breasts, soft and warm, and she shivered as he slid his thumbs up over her nipples.

One of her hands dove between them, tucking and pulling down the front of his trousers. Her fingers carefully reached in, pulling out, grasping, and petting Archer's cock until he moaned against her lips. He shuddered beneath her touch, and his body felt warm and aching all over, so eager for more.

Saya pulled away from the kiss; she then moved herself so that she would sit on top of him, straddling his hips, his back against the shimmering boulder of the cavern. Archer was breathless, but he did not feel the loss of control this time around. Reckless abandon gleamed in her eyes, and he couldn't help the grin growing on his reddened face.

She reached under her skirt, pulling her panties to the side, unveiling her vulnerable and wet core. She couldn't resist the dull throbbing inside her any longer. She guided his hands down between her legs, dipping his fingers onto the folds of her entrance. She gasped and softly sighed when he followed suit, aching, ready, and begging so sweetly.

His mouth on her neck, Archer snaked an arm around her waist, his hands all over Saya, touching her breasts, her calves, her stomach and eventually settling between her legs. She hovered above him, moaning as his hardened cock nudged at her opening. She eased herself down on him as his hands cradled against her, their hips soon colliding. Her loud gasp at the sensation of being filled echoed through the cavern, both shock and lust coalesced together.

Archer grunted in pleasure, her warmth around him, clamping down on his cock, and he wanted her more than ever. Saya shivered, her face cherry pink, her eyes bright, and her hands grasped onto his shoulders, craving more and more of such a delicious torment.

Moments passed, and Saya began to move on top of him, her hips rolling onto his, and Archer groaned at the sensation. His strong hands held her hips, and after kissing her jaw and throat, he thrusted upwards, signaling Saya to move faster.

Saya didn't hesitate, and any earlier sense of pain was replaced with exquisite bliss, clawing, desperate, and eager. She grabbed his head to turn it to face her and tried locating his lips with her own, but all she could do was moan and pant with him into his mouth. Archer's hands traced the contours of her body, all as his mouth ghosted the skin of her throat.

Saya was lost in the craven pleasure that was boiling between her and Archer, panting and squirming, moans escaping her kiss-bruised lips. Archer bit hard in the crook of her shoulder and neck as he repeatedly thrust his hips upwards, meeting her halfway with sensuous movements. She clawed her nails into his shoulders, moaning and panting, her body bouncing in time with his deepening thrusts.

He knew his release was imminent, his pants ragged and his grunts rough, but he wanted her to come before he did. One of his hands pressed hard on her hips, then moved downwards so his fingers rubbed her aching clit, over, over, and over. Everything went white and she finally was pushed over the edge. Saya let out a shuddering whimper, clenching hard around his shaft, seized and threw back her head as she cried out in the crux of pleasure consuming through her. Archer gasped out and he moaned out his release, his seed spilling inside of her.

They slowed their rhythm, Saya falling forward and resting her head on Archer' chest. His warms wrapped her gently, threading his fingers through her disheveled, long black hair. They say there, savoring the last twinges of carnal gratification, their bodies rising and falling as they breathed in unison.

After what had felt like an eternity, she felt him shift underneath her, and he sat up on his hands. Seeing that they were still connected, he pulled out of her slowly, with her gasping once he wasn't submerged in her anymore, and he proceeded to tuck himself back in his trousers. He popped his back while she rubbed her hips.

As she put her underwear back on, she settled next to him, and he placed a hand on her cheek, and she looked up with wavering eyes.

"Saya, are you all right?"

"Mmhmm, I'm fine. The question is, are you?"

He nodded, smiling softly, weary but sated.

Saya looked away for a brief moment, her cheeks red, but then her eyes met the Counter Guardian's. "Just so you know, Archer…."

"Yes?"

"That was amazing."

He blinked, a little surprised at first, but then smiled in return, taking her hand, threading her fingers with his own.

"Yes, it was." He lifted her hand close to his mouth and kissed it, and she smiled sweetly.

Chuckling softly, Archer leaned in and lowered himself into Saya's open arms.

Her arms wrapped around his neck instinctively and she drew him into a long kiss. Their bodies melded together, earning sighs of satisfaction from both.

They did what they could to stem the flow of blood, long after the stars became brittle black beads in the sky.
