This takes place at gothel's old home when they find her mirror basement ( varian is also 27 in this)
"Cass" Rapunzel gasped
"Cass, I can't breathe"
"Sure Rapunzel," Cass said, obviously annoyed with her enemy's act.
"I'm serio- blagh" Rapuzel tried to say before her words were replaced with her breakfast.
"Ra-Ruh- RAPUNZEL!" Cass exclaimed in surprise.
She couldn't stop vomiting, no matter how hard she tried. She looked up to Cass with fearful eyes
"Are you- are you trying to trick me Raps?" Cassandra looked down at Rapunzel, who was now down at her knees throwing up everything she's eaten in the past few days.
Rapunzel put her head up to reply and started saying something but her stomach wouldn't let her and she went right back to vomiting.
"O-o-o k Rapunzel I believe you you can stop now"
There was no response other than the continuous painful groans from Rapunzel
Cass now came down to her level, and pulled, or tried to pull, Rapunzel's hair back.
After a few minutes of this, Rapunzel stopped vomiting and started to cry.
"Cass, p-p-please don't leave me"
"We can't stay here Raps"
Rapunzel nodded and tried to get up, she did so with almost no success. Shakily she got up and started walking.
"Raps something is seriously wrong with you"
They were almost at the exit. Rapunzel nodded in response.
"Ok we're almost the-" Cass was interrupted by Rapunzel's body thudding to the floor.
"OH MY GOSH RAPUNZEL" Cass went down to pick up Rapunzel's limp body.
She ran out of the cave and went behind a tree with Rapunzel, so she could get some shade.
All of the sudden Zhan Tiri appeared, with a large grin on her face.
"This is your chance," She said.
"Wha-What do you mean"
"You feel sympathy for her, but have you checked what she's hiding from you in your bag."
Cassandra went to check Rapunzel's bag. She saw a mirror, but it held a memory. Gothel was telling her she loved her. However a few seconds later it said how she was a pesky pest.
" SHE WAS TRYING TO PROTECT ME!"
"What? No how is this possible. I have the last piece of the mirror". Rapunzel jumped up all of the sudden, with a piece of the mirror in her hand.
"You mean this?" Rapunzel said with the most confidence voice she could.
Zhan Tiri raged at this predicament that was until Quirin and Varian banished her back to the Lost realm.
'How did you know where we were guys?" Rapunzel exclaimed shakily.
"Not too hard to see a huge rock that says Help Cass And Raps in danger in the sky" Varian replied.
Rapunzel looked at Cassandra who chuckled.
"What about the stones? It's too big of a risk to bring them together" Cass said.
"I have built a machine that can bring them together, without harming anyone" Varian smiled.
A few hours later, Cass, Rapunzel, and Varian found themselves in the middle of the woods.
"I wanted to make sure that if there is an explosion, no one would get hurt."
Rapunzel and Cass nodded. They both took their stones and placed them in the mechanical hands.
"You might wanna step back from this"
The three went far behind a tree and Varian pulled a lever. Slowly the machine put the two stones slowly together, until they merged. There wasn't an explosion, probably because no host was there to be exploded.
"WE DID IT!" Varian screamed.
"Now can we try to fix our friendship?"Rapunzel asked in a small voice.
Cassandra nodded.
They arrived at the castle, and Cassandra was nervous of how people would react to her. It turned out that no one hated her, as she had just saved Rapunzel with her little rock stunt, and also Rapunzel cleared things up. They managed to make their way to Cass' room, so they wouldn't be disturbed.
"Raps. I-Im sorry it's just I finally understood who my mother was and I thought she chose you over me but in reality she gave you the worst life and I was given a normal one. I just hate being 2nd and waiting for my time!" Cassandra blurted out. After realizing what she said she put her hands over her mouth, but not before Rapunzel leaned over and gave her a great big hug.
"I- i" Cass stammered. But Rapunzel said in a near to tears voice, "I know, I know, and I will try to give you more acknowledgement, you just don't know how much I missed you"
They stayed like that for a few minutes before Cass said " Now that we are friends again, wanna tell me what's happening with you"
"What do you mean?" Rapunzel replied quietly.
"That's what I mean. The non-stop vomiting then fainting, the fact that you can't raise your voice past a whisper."
"I-I don't know " She sobbed.
This took Cass by surprise, and she hugged her even tighter.
"I think I might, it's okay, okay?". Rapunzel nodded, still shivering.
"So have you and Eugen-"
"Cass I'm so sorry please don't get mad. I forgot to tell you" Rapunzel sobbed.
"Tell me what?"
"Eugene and I got married, we were scared that one of us might die, mainly me with the stone, so we wanted to make sure we were married!"
Cass chuckled, " Rapunzel that's fine. I don't blame you. I bet Fitzherbjerk was happy, and I hate seeing him too happy."
Cassandra noticed Rapunzel smirked and she loosened the hug a bit.
"Now that makes things a lot easier. Now back to my question. Have you and Eugene have some-" Cassandra stopped to think " - Private time together? Or a kiss that went into something deeper."
"You mean sexual intercourse?" Rapunzel questioned.
"Yep" Cassandra nodded.
"Well yes- but I don't see how that would affect me?"
"You mean you don't know?"
"Know what"
'Rapunzel, doing that is how you conceive a child."
"A child? I couldn't conceive a child, I don't have that extra fat on my belly like other pregnant people I see."
"This is gonna be a long conversation"
After half an hour of explaining, Rapunzel understood a bit more of what could be happening.
" How can I tell if I'm carrying a child then"
"Well we will have to go to a doctor"
"Okay let's go!"
"Rapunzel what did she say?" Cassandra asked as Rapunzel walked out of the room with a poker face. "Rapunzel?"
"I- I'm pregjdsnmf"
"I couldn't catch that"
"I'm pregnant," Rapunzel said quietly.
"Are you upset about it?"
"No-No a child is a blessing, I'm just unsure of how Eugene will react."
Cassandra stifled a laugh. Here was Rapunzel who knew Eugene the best. Yet she didn't realize Eugene would stick with her through everything.
A few weeks passed, and no one else knew of Rapunzel's pregnancy other than Cassandra, the doctor and herself.
"Raps you need to tell him"
" I just can't find the right time"
"I'm sorry Raps, this is for your own good"
"EUGENE!!!!!!!!!!!" Cass screamed.
Eugene ran down scared for his life.
"Y-yes Cassandra"
"Rapunzel needs to tell you something"
Rapunzel shot a scared glance at Cassandra.
"Well whaddya need Blondie"
"Uhm- I"
"What?"
"I-im pregnant"
"Mm?"
"I am carrying your child Eugene" She managed to get out.
Eugene stared at Cass. Cass held up 3 fingers to indicate 3 months. Eugene Ran to Rapunzel and gave her a big hug.
"I can't wait to meet the little one" he smiled
And just like that all of Rapunzel's worries went away.
After a few hours Rapunzel and Cass were back at Rapunzel's room. "How are you feeling Raps"
"I feel good. And there is no need to ba-" Rapunzel was interrupted by some nausea and ran to her bathroom and threw up lunch.
"No need to what? Because it seems like you still need help"
Rapunzel looked up and gave her a smile before she went right back to vomiting.
Just then, Eugene walked in "Holy- Rapunzel are you ok- CASS why are you just standing there get a doctor.
Rapunzel and Cass laughed so hard, that Rapunzel nearly choked on her own vomit. "Eugene you're gonna kill Me and your wife with your stupidity" She laughed even harder. Eugene patted Rapunzel's back and then went to train the new cadets for the royal guard.
"Rapunzel, don't you think it's time to tell people about the child. Or at least your parents?"
"I will, I'm just trying to think of a unique way."
"How long will that take you"
"In a month maybe"
"Rapunzel, your belly will be visible by then"
"It already is a bit visible and they haven't noticed?'
"I mean visible enough not to be able to hide."
"Oh-"
"I'll give you until today to tell them or else they will know they same way Eugene got to know"
"Okay Okay"
Later that night everyone was having dinner. Cass shot a glance at Rapunzel. Rapunzel nodded and smiled. She wore a tight dress that embraced her new belly, which was about 4 inches longer than normal. She also had an overcoat to hide the stomach for now.
"Ahem Mom, Dad. Cassandra and I have prepared a play for you guys."
Cassandra looked up in surprise, but before she could say anything Rapunzel grabbed her hand and ran up to the middle of the room.
"This will be a reenactment of our last true argument as moon and stone."
"Wha- oh ok"
"Cass- I can't breathe I don't feel so good"
"Oh um- Are you trying to trick me Rapunzel?"
Rapunzel pretended to throw up on her knees.
"O-ok Rapunzel I believe you now you can stop"
Rapunzel got up, her back facing the audience and took off her overcoat.
She turned around her coat still on her arm which was covering her stomach.
Then she took a pause and looked at all the faces around her. She saw Lance, Keira,Catalina, her parents, and Eugene. She walked towards Cass and leaned on her as if Cass was helping her walk. She bowed as well as Cass and walked back towards everyone else.
"Rapunzel, you look exhausted," Catalina said as she was walking towards Rapunzel.
They were still quite far from the table. Catalina gave her a hug and felt the stomach, eyes widened. She looked at Rapunzel who nodded and put her finger up to her lips.
Catalina smiled widely and walked back to her seat.
"Catalina is right darling, you look like you could faint at any moment."
"I think I know why" Rapunzel replied and accidentally dropped the coat which revealed the visible belly.
Rapunzel's mother jumped from her seat and gave Rapunzel a hug. Meanwhile her father was staring at Eugene. Then he slapped him on the back and whispered "Good job lad, make sure you take care of her and the child"
"Oops I-i didn't mean to drop the coat just yet, I had a whole thing planned and-" Rapunzel was on the verge of crying. Her mom noticed and gave her a big hug as well as Cassandra.
Keira was in shock but very delighted to have a cousin. (Though they aren't blood related Eugene and Lance were both taken as sons by king edmund making them brothers)
Rapunzel smiled and held her stomach, happy that everyone was overjoyed with the news.
Two months later.
Rapunzel was 6 months pregnant, her small frame making her stomach very large. It was almost unreal how big it was compared to her. She stumbled out of bed. Eugene was away on a mission. By now Cassandra would be waiting for her, with a fresh set of sheets, but she wasn't.
Rapunzel had lost track of days and they had all merged together. She did know that Keira made her promise to come visit them today.
Rapunzel tried to change her clothes, which she struggled with and gave up. Her stomach was of the size of a nine month pregnant woman, she could barely squeeze into her new clothes. She barely made it to Keira and Catalina's room.
"Hello!" She exclaimed as she walked in.
"Hi Rapunzel,hi baby" The two girls said.
Rapunzel sat down on the chair, her feet were swollen from carrying so much extra weight.
"You know Rapunzel your stomach looks quite big for someone who is only 6 months pregnant"
"Maybe she's carrying twins," Catalina smirked.
Rapunzel nearly fainted hearing those words. Two children. Two babies. That would be insane.
"Woa it was just a joke rapunzel, no need to worry I doubt its twins" Catalina said in an attempt to comfort her.
"Hey look at the time, it's time for breakfast! I'm sure you're hungry Rapunzel!"Keira said
"I'm not too hungry actually-"
"Well the baby certainly is. Lets go!" Keira said .
Rapunzel was hungry. In fact she had an appetite for an elephant, but she dreaded to walk to the dining room.
As she was walking she let out soft groans of pain. Her feet were aching and she could barely support herself. She had one hand holding her back and another on the railing to balance herself.
"Princess are you ok" Catalina asked.
"Nope. Yep Yep im fine, just lugging around another human really takes a toll on you" she said in pain.
At last they made it to the doors of the dining room. The girls smiled at each other as they opened the door.
"SURPRISE!" They yelled.
It was Rapunzel's birthday. And she had forgotten.
"Wait thank you. All of you so much " she sobbed.
"Keira gave her a hug and said "I think you'll have to tell the kingdom you're expecting a child now".
Rapunzel smiled " Yeah I think I do".
The kingdom was waiting outside the castle. They were told Rapunzel had been ill and couldn't be in the public. This was an excuse to give her some comfort before people would see her in her new state. She couldn't hide it anymore and she wanted to see the people again.
"People of Corona, as you know it is my daughter's 23rd birthday. She is ready to come out in public and we hope everyone is happy on this fine day" The king announced.
Rapunzel nervously walked out the doors she was wearing the biggest dress she could find, but even that barely covered her enormous belly. She was finally clearly visible to the public's eye.
"Thank you people of Corona for coming to celebrate my birthday" She shifted her position a bit because her hand was a bit uncomfortable supporting her back "And hopefully in a few months we will be able to celebrate the birth of my child"
Everyone roared with happiness. People were coming closer to see the pregnant princess, who was very happy with the public's acceptance. Then Eugene came from the crowd and gave her a great big hug.
'I thought you had to go"
"I decided I could stay for your birthday"
Cass was beside the princess as well as Eugene to make sure that she wouldn't feel overwhelmed. However the princess was enjoying herself immensely. She answered a lot of questions and enjoyed being with the public.
After 30 minutes they left back to the castle.
"You know Raps, that wasn't so bad" Cassandra said
"Yeah it wasn-oouh"
'Rapunzel?'
"Owwww Ow ow"
"What happened?" "Something moved inside me. And hit me in the ribs"
'Rapunzel that was your baby!!"
"Why would he do that"
"First it's a she probably and second that's how they exercise"
"I need to tell Eugene!'
And with that Rpaunzel attempted to get to Eugene as fast as possible, yet miserably failed and Eugene ended up coming to her.
"Eugeneeeee. Just put your hand on my stomach" Rapunzel pleaded.
'Alright Alright fine Blondie"
As he put his hand on her stomach the baby kicked. Rapunzel groaned loudly.
"Are you ok- and was that our baby!'
'Yep that's him alright" She said in between more groans. "That's our little tap dancer".
"Our little tapda- did you say he?"
"It has to be a boy Eugene I can just feel it".
"Whoa now I think its a girl. A little penelope"
"Hey now- It isnt a girl and even if it was it wouldn't be named penelope"
"Agree to disagree I guess"
"Now wait a minute Fitzherbert!"
"Ah will you look at the time the boat's about to leave-"
"Eugene!"
"Yes Blondie"
"I love you come back soon"
"I will blondie, and you to our little tap dancer"
And with that Eugene gave Rapunzel a kiss, much to Cass' disgust who was watching from the corridor and left.
Rapunzel giggled and walked over to Cass. "I think he forgot you were assigned to watch over me."
"Yeah I wished he remembered".
They walked towards the dining room while talking about food.
"I think I would like A tuna sandwich with some gummy worms inside. Oh and maybe some jam. That sounds really good."
"Rapunzel I think I'm gonna barf if you keep talking about that".
1 month later
Rapunzel was 7 months pregnant. Her stomach seemed to have doubled in size. It was 2 feet in diameter. She could barely do everyday things now.
"Casssss! I need help please"
Cass ran over to Rapunzel. This past month she could see Rapunzel was very visibly in pain and she didn't even argue about being taken care of.
"You know Raps, seeing you like this is really making me think I shouldn't have kids!"
"Yeah well- ough- then who will my- arghhh- kid play with" Rapunzel groaned. Her kid was kicking her everywhere. She couldn't go an hour without being kicked.
"Keira and Catalina"
"The boy needs someone his age"
"I'll think about it," Cass laughed knowing Rapunzel would argue.
Cassandra helped rapunzel change and then went back to painting the child's room.
The room was connected to Rapunzel and Eugene's room.
"Wait up Cass, I'm coming as fast as I can."
"Catalina, can you and Keira help raps"
"Sure"
They ran up to Rapunzel, each taking one arm and helped her walk. Rapunzel looked at the floor just to realize that she couldn't see the first two feet below her. Tears started to fill her eyes.
"Why can't I see my feet" She wailed "Why am I so big"
The girls set her down on a chair. "Rapunzel you're not big, you kid is. He's big and healthy. OIn a few more weeks this could be over." Cassandra said.
The girls gave each other a hug and let Rapunzel watch them paint the baby's room a baby blue.
1 month later
"Blondie!"
"Mhff"
"Come on you have to wake up. Varian has an announcement."
Rapunzel shot up, or almost shot up. She got up as fast as her swollen belly could allow. It had grown another foot in diameter. It was so big that if Cass curled up in a small ball the stomach would be bigger than her. Rapunzel couldn't walk without someone with her. Eugene was off duty because of this.
"Do you think-"
"I don't know they've only been dating for 7 months."
The couple made their way to the dining hall.
It was time for sunday breakfast.
"Hello my friends," Varian said and then glanced at Cass and mumbled "My love" just loud enough for her to hear. "A week ago I realized life is short. Too short. This fact, and many others are why I have gathered you all today to witness this. And you know what. We are gonna do a play. To show you guys why life is short. Cassandra will be joining me. And Rapunzel if you could, you just need to sit down up there."
"Alright," Rapunzel said.
After everything was set up. Varian said "This is a reenactment of Eugene and Rapunzel's wedding. I know Cass missed it unfortunately, but she will get to live it.
"Welcome Cass to the wedding. Glad you could make it" Rapunzel smiled.
"I'm glad I made it"
"So now that you've been married, Rapunzel, are you gonna throw the bouquet." Varian asked.
"Ah yes." Rapunzel said as she threw it.
Out of instinct Cass turned around and caught it, leaving her back face to Varian.
Quickly he fumbled out a ring from his pocket and went down on one knee, waiting for Cassandra to turn.After a few seconds she turned to see Varian on one knee holding a ring. She stepped back, with her eyes tearing up.
"Cass, since I met you 4 years ago, I have had a love for you. When I felt I had nothing left to love, the thought of you would find its way into my head and save me from my wrongdoings. I can't help but feel like I need to make sure you and I need each other. I felt love for you even when I was taken as your captive. I could see the love in your eyes then as prominently as I see it now. So I ask you, will you make me the happiest man in the world, and marry me?"
Cass was speechless. She opened her mouth but nothing came out. Instead she nodded vigorously and hugged Varian. Then she got her voice back and screamed yes yes yes.
Rapunzel was tearing up, she waited for Eugene to help her down and then hugged her best friend.
A few days later Cass came to help Rapunzel.
"So when is the wedding?"
"In a month!" Cassandra exclaimed happily.
"At this point you'll have a kid by next year" Rapunzel winked.
"As if, you've already put me off of having children for the next 5."
"If you say so, but once my son comes he will give you baby fever."
"Yeah yeah"
One month later(day of the wedding)
Cassandra looked at herself in the mirror. She was actually getting married. To Varian.
She heard some wheels squeaking.
"Hey Raps"
"Aw come- erggh- on. How'd you know I was here she grunted. Cassandra turned around to face her friend. Rapunzel had been put in a wheelchair. Her stomach was far too big for her body, and she couldn't get up anymore."
"Squeaky wheels" Cassandra chuckled.
"Ha Ha"
"Anyways, I see you've worn a newer dress"
"As a bridesmaid and as a heavily pregnant woman this is as good as you'll get. Also i can-t change out of it today because it took too long to put on."
"Okay Okay, anyways let's hurry this up we don't want you to give birth during the wedding"
The wedding was small, only family and friends were allowed. Varian and Cass said their vows, kissed and got married. Meanwhile Rapunzel was feeling a bit of pain near her uterus but passed it off as a kick. It was a bit powerful though. After the wedding Rapunzel had gotten 1 kick every 10 minutes. Each one is a bit more painful.
After the wedding Cass And Rapunzel went to change in Cass's room.
"That was an awesome wedding Cass. Your now officially a wife"
"Yeah, I don't think I've ever been so happy"
"Now all you need to do is get pregn-ahhhhhhhhhmmmmm"
"Raps are you okay?"
"Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" Rapunzel moaned, putting a finger to Cassandra's lips.
After 10 seconds she gasped for air and sighed.
"Sorry the kid has been kicking pretty badly"
"I don't think that was a kick-"
"I think it is. Plus it's 2 weeks early."
"2 weeks isn't to early-"
"Cass. It is your day. Not his. Trust me I'm fine."
"Bu- "
"No buts and I feel better anyway. So are you planning on getting a kid anytime soon"
"I'm not sure Raps."
"You will- oooh umm i- erhhh-mmmmmmm"
"Rapunzel?"
"SHSHSHSHSHSHSH MMMM"
"Rapunzel please, I think you're in labor."
"My water hasn't broken yet."
Cassandra looked down. Raps was right. Maybe this was just false labor.
"Much better"
"You know what Raps, maybe you are right."
'That's what i thou-"
"Raps?"
"I think I lost control of my bladder-"
"RAPS YOUR WATER JUST BROKE"
Eugene, Rapunzel's parents, and Cassandra were all waiting outside the door. Rapunzel's screams echoed throughout the town.
"LET ME IN" Eugene screamed.
"No! 'Tis no place for a man" The nurse replied.
"EUGENE,CASSSSSSS" Rapunzel screamed.
Eugene Ran towards Cass who looked scared for her friend.
"Cass I beg you, please try to see if they will let you in and comfort Rapunzel. She needs someone"
"I'll go"
Cassandra walked toward the nurse who let her in because she wasn't a pesky man.
Rapunzel was sweating her usual vibrant face and cheery attitude was gone. She looked as pale as a ghost.
"Cass?"She whispered weakly.
"Yea Raps. You need to push or your kid won't see this world. Please"
Rapunzel tried her hardest until she heard a cry. Looking deathly pale she pleaded to see the child. "It's a boy," The doctor exclaimed. Cassandra looked at the child and at Rapunzel Stomach. It had barely gone down. Rapunzel looked tired. She looked at her son.
"Bring Euge- AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" she screamed.
"She's having another! No surprise based on how big that stomach was"
"Raps you need to push out this baby, here hold my hand."
"ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH" Rapunzel shouted. Cassandra saw the pain in her eyes, and she could feel how hard Rapunzel was holding her hand.
"It's another boy!" The doctors went to clean the children. Rapunzel was saying something but it wasn't audible.
"Ca- I - thi- nothr-"
Cass left to get Eugene, but she saw a baby's head where Rapunzel had delivered the other two.
"DOCTORS. THERE IS ANOTHER"
Two doctors went up and exclaimed in shock. Cass ran up to Rapunzel who closed her eyes so hard her face was shaking. She screamed and cried until she pushed the baby out.
"-cass- i know- i know there is one more" she said near tears.
Cass knew that rapunzel was dying. Rapunzel probably felt it too.
"There is a fourth!"
Rapunzel used her last efforts delivering the child. She was near death.
"She needs blood!"
"Take mine!" Cassandra exclaimed.
They transfused the blood.
Rapunzel gasped for air.
"Its okay Raps! All of the babies are okay. And the doctor said you will make a speedy recovery. Something about how you used to be the sundrop."
"Can I see my baby?" she said in a small voice.
"Did you forget?"
"Hmm?"
"You birthed 4 boys"
Rapunzel smiled widely. "I told you so"
Cassandra was taken aback by her friend's energy.
"I told you it was a boy. Now im 4 times as right" Rapunzel said smiling even larger.
"Should i bring Eugene and your parents?"
"Yes. And call the girls"
Eugene walked in to see Rapunzel and Cass holding 2 babies.
He chuckled "Was Cass secretly pregnant too, she was getting a bit round on the edges…"
Cass rolled her eyes "Fitzherbjerk"
"No" Rapunzel glared at her husband "But these are your sons.
"Did you have any names in mind?"
"I was thinking Oliver, Ben, Peter, and James"
'I Love all of them , now we just need to narrow it down to two"
"Oh Eugene, haven't you noticed."
"Noticed what?"
The two doctors behind him held up another two boys.
"There's 4" Rapunzel smiled.
His eyes widened
"4 mini mes!" He smiled
Next the parents came.
"Rapunzel, where's my granddaughter?"
"Father, Do you mean your grandsons?"
"Wait- grandson, Its a boy!"
"Not just a boy, It's boys"
"Two little grandsons!" He exclaimed.
"My two children, Rapunzel, how hard that must've been for you" Her mother said.
"Not exactly mother. More like 4 children and yes I nearly died."
Their jaws dropped "FOUR BOYS!" They exclaimed.
The nurses let the king and queen see the children. Then Rapunzel's mother gave Rapunzel a hug and said how strong she was, while her father was still looking at the boys with utter happiness and joy.
Then, Catalina and Keira came. They had just been woken up to see their new cousins.
"Come girls"
"So many doctors for one kid Rapunzel, aren't you going overboard" Keira said
Rapunzel chuckled, " If it was one kid I'd agree with you"
Catalina smiled widely, and Keira's jaw dropped.
"I knew it was twins! Catalina exclaimed.
"Nope again Catalina, why don't I just show you?" Catalinas jaw dropped.
"Here is baby Oliver. Here is little Ben, and here is baby Peter-"
"THREE BABIES!" Catalina screamed
"No wonder you were so big!" Keira said.
"Girls, You haven't even seen baby James yet"
"FOUR!!!" They screamed.
Rapunzel just laughed, knowing that she and her babies were okay and healthy.
It has been two weeks since the birth of the princes.Today they were finally ready to be shown to the kingdom. Now no one in the kingdom knew of how many babies were born, just that Rapunzel did have the largest stomach any pregnant lady they've ever seen had.
As Rapunzel was sleeping the babies were crying all night. Not wanting Rapunzel to exert herself, as she nearly died, Eugene, Varian, Cass, Keira and Catalina were all taking shifts on watching the babies.
While Cass and Varian were watching the babies, Cass felt something.
She looked at baby Peter. He was tumbling about in his sleep. She picked him up and rocked him. The baby opened his eyes. His vivid green eyes staring at the gray eyes in front of him. The little tuft of brown hair peeking through his hat. He stared deeply into Cass's eyes and made a few whimpering noises. Cass hugged him close, continuing to rock him. He closed his little eyes and drifted to sleep. Cass smiled softly and tucked the child into his cot. As she looked up, she caught Varian looking at her, with a knowing smile on his face.
"What?!" she whispered.
"You want one" He giggled.
"What- I would never kidnap a child."She said
"That's not what I mean Cassie" he said, locking his teal eyes with her gray eyes. "You want a child, a child of your own".
Cass opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out.
"See"
"Well, Var-Bear, do you want children, it doesn't have to be now."
"Let's see. Am I old enough, hmm well I am 27 I think that's good. Am I financially stable, Yes, I have a good job with a lot of pay. Is my home big enough, considering we live in the castle now, yes. Do I have a wife that wants children, yes. Do I want children?"
Cass looked at him with hope in her eyes. "Yes, I do want children." He finished.
Cass ran towards him and gave him a kiss. "Whoa whoa, let's make the child later, not this moment!"
Cass giggled "I love you Varian"
"I love you Cassie".
A few hours later. "Good morning Cass!" Rapunzel said.
"Morning Raps!"
Rapunzel slowly got up to pick up her baby.
"WAIT. Where are all my boys?"
"Oh Eugene is dressing them up. Something about Mini him."
"Oh god-"
"Mhmm"
"So where's Varian?"
"He's working on the water project"
"Oh how nice"
The girls conversed about life and such as they changed into normal outfits.
"People of Corona, I King Frederic, am welcoming my daughter back to the public, after her recovery of the birth."
Everyone cheered. Even Monty.
"Hello Coronians, a few months ago, I wished that we could celebrate the birth of my child. I now am before you, and would like to announce i gave birth 2 days after Cassandra's wedding to Baby Oliver-"
"WHOOOOOOOOOOOO" The crowd screamed celebrating the child's birth.
"Please let me finish, I gave birth to prince oliver, prince Ben," murmurs and gasps were throughout the crowd, "ahem prince Peter and prince James".
The crowd went wild. Overjoyed by the 4 new princes' arrival. "I would also let you know that the boys are identical and will be introduced now."
Cass, Eugene and the royal guard surrounded the babies. They let the citizens look for about 30 minutes before they needed to be fed.
"Please enjoy the rest of your day Corona!"
Cass walked down the corridor. It had been 2 months since that day. She and Varian still hadn't conceived. She walked towards Rapunzel's room.
"Hey Raps."
"Oh hi Cassie!" Rapunzel said as she was cradling baby James to sleep.
"I know this is weird to ask-"
"Mhmm go on" Rapunzel said as she put James in his cot.
"How did you and Eugene conceive so easily" She blurted out.
"Cassandra!" She giggled "Did you get baby fever like I predicted"
"I-uh -I am not obliged to answer that"
Varian walked into the room. "Yep she has severe baby fever"
Rapunzel gasped "I Kne-"
"SHHHHH Rapunzel please I don't need my dad to know-"
The old captain of the guards, Cass's dad, had just moved into the castle with his new position of co-captain.
"And Varian" She jumped trying to hit his head, but it was no use as he was a foot taller than her "How dare you tell that to her"
"Anyways Cass, how do you know what you're doing hasn't worked if it hasn't passed a few months. I didn't even know until I was 3 months."
"I don't know, I just- ugh- I just really want a baby as soon as possible"
"It will come Cassie"
1 month later
"Can you say mama"
"Pfttttttttttttttttttt"
"Okay that a no"
Rapunzel watched as her sons rolled around the playroom. Oliver and James sitting up, but falling every few seconds. Pete and Ben fidgeting with little toys. She could get used to this. And of course Eugene is trying to teach his sons, the smolder.
Meanwhile in Cass's room
Cass stared at her calendar. She had missed her monthly two months in a row. What could it be. She must not get her hopes up. She has the urge to sleep. That made no sense, she slept a lot the past week. She went to sleep, forgetting that she had to guard a ceremony.
"Where is Cass?" Varian asked Rapunzel nervously.
"I thought you would know"
The ceremony went on, without Cass.
"Stripe boy" The Co- captain yelled
"Yes sir"
"Where is my daughter! What are you doing not looking for her"
"I- I was about to-"
"Go scrawny kid."
Varian had found Cass knocked out on their bed. Her body sprawled out on the whole bed.
"Oh Cassie, what am I gonna do with you."
He went to pick her up. She was deep asleep.
As he got her in his arms, her dad walked in.
"NOW WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY DAUGHTER SCRAWNY!!"
"Sir, please, I found her fast asleep on our bed, i was going to put her on her side of the bed, so I can sleep as well"
Cass started fumbling, she smelt Varian's cologne.
"To hell you were going to sleep, that's my daughter!"
"Sir I swear."
Not aware of her father Cass started to shift in Varian's arms. She said
"Varie, mmph"
"What did she just say!"
"Cassie shhh shh I'm home"
"You took a long time," Cassandra mumbled, " she leaned forward to give Varian a kiss
Varian's eyes widened and looked at her dad. Her dad was taken aback. He face was beet red
"Ermm" The dad started until Cass opened her eyes to see him.
"DAD! DOESN"T ANYONE TEACH YOU TO KNOCK!" She screamed.
"I- uh sweeti, I came to make sure- yo-you were alright."
"WELL VARIAN"S HERE. MY HUSBAND. THE MAN I MARRIED. HE'LL KEEP ME SAFE"
"I'll leave now-"
"Bye!" She yelled out the last word and told Varian to lock the door. She gave him one last kiss, and went to sleep.
Varian chuckled, and kissed her forehead "I love you Cassie."
Rapunzel had heard from Varian what happened. She went to Cass's room the next morning.
"Hey Cass! How are you feeling"
Tears formed in Cass's eyes. "I- I don't know. I feel exhausted, but I just slept 14 hours- and I'm hungry one second but I lose my appetite and.. "
"Tsk tsk tsk, Cass. Its ok, what happened last night."
"My dad saw Varian."
"Mhmm"
"Holding me"
"Mhmmm"
"Over the bed while i was kissing him in my sleep" she scrambled out
"Oh-"
And I missed my monthly again, what's happening!"
"Wait. You missed your monthly?"
"Yeah but what does that mean"
"My doctor told me a way to tell if you are pregnant, is if you missed your monthly. I didn't have my monthly my whole pregnancy"
"Do you think-" Cass's eyes filled with hope. She didn't want to be too hopeful.
"Let's go to the doctor and check"
Rapunzel waited patiently for her friend. Cass had wanted a child since she gave birth. All of the sudden the door opened. A very happy Cass emerged.
"Well?" Rapunzel said, knowing the response.
"I'm pregnant!"
She leaned to give Cass a big hug.
"Now you should tell Varian!"
"I have something planned"
Cass had made up her mind. She was just going to tell him, one on one.
"VARIAN!"
Varian came running downstairs "Cassie what's wrong?"
"Absolutely nothing" she smirked.
She gave him a small kiss and asked him "Are you busy right now"
"Am I?"
"Now you are, " she smiled.
"So what did you need"
"I need to tell you something new about me. A new addition"
"And what would that be"
"Our new baby"
"You can't mean"
"I do, our little baby"
She put her hands on her stomach. Varian wrapped his arms over hers and gave a kiss.
