Purple27GameLord, who owns Elliott, asked for this one. Here you go, Amigo! :) Enjoy! :)

Skylanders belongs to Activision. Mortal Kombat belongs to its respective owners. Blaze belongs to robotman25. I only own Rachel.

A/N: I'm not overly familiar with Mortal Kombat, so please bear with me on this one.

Warriors And Friends

Rachel did a backflip to avoid a swipe from a sword as Blaze charged at her. She quickly leaned back, going nearly parallel to the ground to avoid him before doing a bridge with her body to just avoid an ink attack from Elliott. Quickly, she kicked one leg up so that she did a handstand before doing a split in mid air and using her telekinesis to spin in place, almost like a ceiling fan only upside down. This allowed her to deflect the two attacks coming at her and Blaze and Elliott ducked as the attacks headed back for them before they attacked again and Rachel powered up her telekinesis again, forming an orb that hit the attacks dead on and caused an explosion that rocked the Earth.

Blaze stabbed his sword into the ground and braced himself while Elliott did the same with his scimitar while Rachel used her telekinesis as a shield. After a bit, everything was quiet and the three looked around to see that the attacks had done quite a bit of damage. "Oops," the young woman said sheepishly.

"Well, good to know that it's a powerful attack," Elliott said.

"Inadvertently, but all the same, yes," Blaze said as he pulled out his sword. "Might be best to keep that in mind for a future attack."

"Good idea," Rachel said as she landed on the ground lightly. "At least Kaos has been quiet."

"Maybe a bit too quiet," Elliott said.

"Master Eon said there's been no magic at Kaos' Kastle as of late," Blaze said. "And it's been at least a month since we last battled him, not that I'm complaining."

Rachel grew thoughtful. "Maybe we out to go see what Kaos is up to," she said. "We've been Portal Masters long enough to know that an enemy like Kaos is not to be underestimated and when they're quiet, it means trouble."

"Should we get out partners?" Elliott asked.

"Most of them are out relaxing," Blaze pointed out. "They've been working hard and Master Eon gave them today off."

"So we'll just do a simple recon mission," Rachel said. "In and out."

Elliott nodded in agreement. "Can you use your telekinesis to get us in?"

"I can," she said.

"Okay," Blaze said. "In and out and possible sabotage mission."

Nodding, the three headed for Kaos' Kastle, getting there and sneaking inside. Rachel glanced around. "Shouldn't there be guards?" She asked. "Or at least his dumb clones?"

"I think Stealth Elf mentioned that the cloning machine was destroyed," Elliott said. "Of course, Kaos does have magic, so that might not count for something."

"Still, Rachel's right," Blaze pointed out. "No guards. Either Kaos is expecting us or something else is going on."

"But what could make Kaos forget to put guards at his own doors?" Rachel asked.

The Fire/Undead/Water Portal Master moved carefully ahead, motioning the other two to follow carefully, which they did. Rachel smiled as she didn't mind sharing her leadership role with the others. She then noticed a hallway lit up to the side and motioned to Elliott to take the lead on that one.

Using his abilities, Elliott scanned the area, motioning when all was clear. Rachel did a search of the next hallway, but it was empty too. "Okay, nothing is making sense right now," she said to the two young men.

"Maybe we ought to fly with your telekinesis up high?" Blaze suggested.

Nodding, she activated her power, the golden glow surrounding her before she reached out her hands and both took her hands trustingly before she floated upwards, carrying them with no trouble at all. They soon reached Kaos' main throne room and to their surprise, Kaos wasn't there, but Glumshanks was.

The troll looked worriedly over to the side. "Oh, I hope Lord Kaos is okay," he said aloud. "He's been gone through that portal for three days now."

The Portal Masters looked at each other before Rachel floated downwards, silently dropping the two young men to the floor and they landed noiselessly before she reached out her powers, grabbing Glumshanks, who cried out in alarm as he began floating, but then looked fearful at seeing the Hellfire Portal Master, the Water/Dark Portal Master, and the Tech/Fire Portal Master looking at him. His expression dropped and he looked like he was about to beg them to spare him.

"Glumshanks, where is Kaos?" Elliott asked calmly.

The troll swallowed. "He's not here," he said. "I...I don't even think he's in Skylands anymore."

"We gathered that from you saying he's been gone through a portal," Blaze pointed out.

The troll looked very nervous now and Rachel decided that perhaps a bit of kindness might be helpful. Glumshanks had saved her nieces sometime ago, going against his master's orders. "Glumshanks," she said kindly, a smile on her face. "Please tell us. Where is Kaos?"

He sighed. "I...I can't betray him," he said, yelping as he was suddenly upside down and Rachel turned him to face her.

"Glumshanks, you're well aware of what we could do," she said. "But we also know that you have a conscience as well. You did save Blaze's daughters."

He gulped. "Well, I just didn't want to anger Blaze," he admitted.

"Glumshanks, what if Kaos is in danger?" Elliott asked, trying a different tactic.

The troll sighed. "That's what I'm worried about," he said. "He was low on energy when he went through the portal."

"Did he say where he was going?" Blaze asked.

"No, but he mentioned something about powerful warriors who have been here before," Glumshanks admitted. "One that was held here while you went elsewhere, Blaze."

Rachel's head snapped up. "Scorpion," she said, realizing what the troll meant before her eyes widened and she looked at Blaze. "Blaze, you met Sub Zero, right?"

"I did," he said as he realized what she was thinking. "Kaos has gone to the Mortal Kombat world."

Glumshanks looked very worried now and looked at them. "I...uh...I know I have no right to ask this, but...maybe uh...would you...go after him? Please?" He asked.

Elliott looked at the troll. "There's no way we're not going after him," he said.

"I agree," Rachel said, setting the troll down. "Glumshanks, do we have your word you will not shut down the portal before we return?"

He nodded. "You have my word," he said.

Blaze pointed a ruby sword at him, the sword catching fire. Glumshanks gulped at that. "You better keep your word or you'll answer to me," the Fire/Undead/Water Portal Master said. "Am I clear?"

"Yes, Blaze," the troll said, sighing in relief when the sword was not pointed at him anymore.

Elliott wrote something down and gave it to Rachel, who used her telekinesis to make it fly. "Alright, note sent to Master Eon and the portal seems stable," she said. "Let's hope it stays that way."

"Um, good luck, Portal Masters," Glumshanks said, looking a bit worried.

Nodding, the two young men took Rachel's outstretched hands and they all walked into the portal together, bracing themselves as they didn't know if this would be an easy mission or a hard mission.

Either way, they had their work cut out for themselves.

Looks like the three are about to have an adventure they won't forget. Stay tuned to find out what happens when they reach the other side of the portal. :)

And please leave a review, but no flames!
