Chapter 1-The day before the big event

The holiday party was set for a week after they came back from their honeymoon. Rory was understandably nervous to meet all these new people. No one knew they had gotten married yet. Somehow they remained under the radar. It was decided that Finn was going to work from home the week they got back from their honeymoon so that they could get settled into the apartment together. Luke and Lorelai were coming for the weekend and the party and would be arriving on Thursday night. The party was on Saturday night but they wanted Lorelai to have a chance to rest. Lorelai was hoping that they could maybe do some holiday shopping on Friday. They invited Amelia to go with them. She was thrilled to be included. Amelia was so happy to get another chance to get to know her daughter-in-law.

Little did Rory and Finn know but Luke had packed his truck with many of Rory's boxes. Luke figured it would be easier and one less thing the movers might try to move to the new house. There were many more at the house but Luke figured they were coming anyway they might as well load up the truck. It didn't take Finn and Luke long to bring them in and Rory was thrilled to have some more of her clothes and books at the new place. She was planning on going to Stars Hollow this coming week to pack her room and get some boxes. Now she had less to do.

They ordered in Chinese food for dinner and the four of them had a lovely time just catching up and hearing about their honeymoon and how the babies were doing and how life was in Stars Hollow. Lorelai and Luke went to get settled in the guest room and Rory and Finn tackled her book boxes in the library. Between the two of them they were able to get all of them done in no time at all. They then went to their bedroom and tackled her clothes boxes. In no time flat they got them all unpacked. Rory was over the moon excited to have some more clothing choices. Finn broke down all the boxes and brought them out to the garbage. Both were happy and surprised that Luke and Lorelai brought so many boxes. They knew there were more still in hollow but this was a great start.

When Finn returned they both took a nice long hot shower together. They knew they had company and couldn't make a lot of noise but they also knew that the sound of the water would mask their moans. Finn quickly pushed Rory onto the wall. He moved her legs around him and thrusted deeply into her. She moved her legs to his ass and pushed him in that much deeper. Rory tightened her inner muscles around Finn and it didn't take long for them both to be on the edge. Finn captured Rory's lips in a deep passionate kiss to mask his moans as he came hard. Rory was right behind him. Once they had their fill and Finn was milked dry. They both got cleaned up and Finn shut off the water. They both got toweled off and found pajamas. Rory went to check on Lorelai and Luke. The door was locked and no sound was coming from behind it so she assumed they had fallen asleep.

Friday morning Rory found Luke up making breakfast with Finn. Everything smelled delicious. After breakfast the girls got ready to go shopping. They were picking Amelia up at 11 and would be back for dinner with all 8 of them about 5. Luke was worried about Lorelai doing too much but she promised she would take it easy. Rory promised she would watch and take care of her.

Finn, Luke and JP went for lunch together and everyone was just enjoying getting to know each other better. After lunch the guys went to do a little shopping of their own. Luke found Lorelai a lovely and warm set of cashmere lined gloves that he knew she would love and would be perfect for their snow walks. Finn found Rory a pretty blue scarf that matched her eyes. JP bought Amelia the cream and gray cashmere scarf she was looking at last week but they were out of the color she wanted. The guys were all happy with their purchases. Next they went on to Cartier where Luke found Lorelai a beautiful set of 1 carat diamond earrings and a 2 carat matching diamond pendant. He was thinking of the earrings for Christmas and the pendant as a wedding present. It was more than Luke usually spent but he decided that money didn't matter. They had more than enough and Lorelai deserved to be spoiled and they were only getting married once. Finn Bought Rory a matching pair of diamond earrings for Christmas. They looked like they were made to match the pendant necklace he bought her for their wedding. JP found a uniquely beautiful emerald cocktail ring that he knew Amelia would flip over. Once their shopping was done the guys headed back to Finn and Rory's place. They sat in the living room just talking and getting to know each other better. They all enjoyed the day off and each other's company. Luke secretly loved how down to earth JP was and that they actually had a lot in common. It was a nice way to spend the afternoon.

Lynn and David arrived just after 5 apologizing that they got stuck in a little traffic. Everyone was thrilled that they could join them and didn't care that they were late. They were going to spend the night with JP and Amelia and Amelia was thrilled to spoil David a little. Lynn too.

For dinner they walked to this hole in the wall little Italian restaurant that Finn had found that he thought everyone would love that was near their place. He was right. It was an old fashioned place with melted candles on the table in old wine bottles but everyone agreed that the food was outrageously delicious. JP was surprised as he had walked past this place several times but had never been in. They all knew they would be back. Lorelai was secretly thrilled to learn that JP and Amelia would be comfortable in a place like this as it seemed like it was far below society standards. It made Lorelai feel good that JP and Amelia were as down to earth as they were. This put Lorelai's mind at ease. David was telling them how much he was enjoying his new internship and that secretly made Lorelai very happy. Lynn was telling Rory how she was excited about starting her new job in January but was still a little nervous. Finn and Rory told them all about their honeymoon and how relaxing it was and how Rory even liked the different types of fish they ate. Luke was pleasantly surprised to hear Rory eating healthier. Luke and Lorelai spoke about their upcoming wedding and how excited they were that everyone was able to join them. Amelia and JP were just happy to see all their family together and that made them all happy. They all sat and talked and ate really good food and had an amazing time. Luke and JP even fought over the check but JP won in the end saying that this weekend was on them and that the wedding weekend could be on Luke and Lorelai. Luke begrudgingly agreed. When dinner was over everyone went back to Finn and Rory's to get David and Lynn's car and said good night. Amelia reminded the ladies that she has made hair appointments for them starting at noon and she would pick up Rory and Lorelai at 11:30. The ladies were thrilled.

Finn, Rory, Luke and Lorelai said goodnight and headed off to bed as it had gotten late but no one seemed to mind.
