Victory looked near, the X-Men had nearly taken down the enemies, with only a few of them left. Peter had been on the ground for a while, one of the evil mutants, who could manipulate plants, was able to hold him still long enough to get a good hit in. He was starting to get up, Amy trying to assist him. Jean and Scott ran over to where they were to help fight off the remaining enemies, when suddenly one of them shot a blue wave of energy towards the four of them. Amy quickly tried to make a shield, but the energy was too fast, and it knocked the four of them out cold.

Jean woke up and looked around. It was so bright, where was she? She could feel sand around her, and what sounded like the ocean, but way closer than it should've been. Was she on a beach? She tried to reach out with her mind and possibly find some answers, but to her horror, found that she couldn't use her powers at all. Turning her head to the left, she saw Scott lying face down in the sand a few feet away. She got up on her knees and crawled her way over to him.

"Scott." She said, shaking his shoulder. "Scott, wake up."

He groaned as he opened his eyes, adjusting to the sudden brightness, and sat up. "Jean?" He said towards her before looking around at the scene before him. "...Where are we?"

"I don't know." She responded. "But I can't use my powers, I can't reach anyone."

Scott looked at her for a moment with worry before getting up and walking towards the nearby ocean, Jean following him. He closed his eyes, slowly took off his glasses, and then opened them. To both of their surprise, no lasers shot out. He looked over at Jean, and she could see his eyes for the first time.

"Okay…" Scott said after a moment. "Definitely weird."

A yell caught their attention, and they both looked further down the beach, where a group seemed to be gathering. They ran closer and hid behind a washed up log on the shore.

"What's going on?" Scott said, turning to Jean.

"Is that… music?" She said.

They both listened, and sure enough, not only was the group of people in front of them singing and dancing, but it was like there was music coming from nowhere. They watched as a car pulled up on the beach and more people than possible jumped out, but it was the last one out that grabbed their attention.

"Is that Peter!?" They said in unison.

Peter walked toward the singing group and joined in.

"Maybe we're dead. We've died and ended up in a musical!" Jean said with panic.

They watched as the group started to perform a practiced song and dance number, with none other than Peter as the lead. They went to get a closer look, and both noticed something.

"Oh my god, is that Kurt?" Scott said, looking towards the group of what looked like surfers. "And Jubilee?!" Sure enough, they were both there, singing and dancing with the others, looking like they were having the time of their lives. "And holy shit, who knew Peter could sing?!"

"Wait, Scott!" Jean said, gaining his attention again. "We're in the movie!"

"What movie?" He replied with a confused look.

"The movie we watched with everyone the other night! That cheesy 60's musical!"

"What?! How?"

"I have no idea! What are we going to do?!" She said, panicking slightly as they continued to watch them perform. She was standing too close to one of the dance lines and got a bucket of water thrown into her face.

"Crazy!" The performers sang as they ran away.

They finished their song and all ran into a building labelled "Big Mama's". Jean and Scott following them.

"Okay, that was actually kind of cool." Scott said with a dopey smile as they went inside.

The surfers all turned to look at them.

"I mean… insane!" Scott said, trying to blend in and avert their growing suspicion.

"And where are you cats from?" Kurt stepped forward and said.

They both noted that he didn't seem to know who they were.

"Just follow my lead." Scott whispered to Jean.

"Does it lead us home?" Jean whispered back.

Scott chose to ignore her to quickly answer Kurt's question. "We're from… not far away." Scott said.

At the same time, Jean answered. "Far away." She tried to correct herself with Scott's answer. "Not far away." She said, just as Scott was correcting himself.

"Far away." He said. "Right, not far away but…"

"But-but far." She continued for him.

"Yeah." He said with a nervous chuckle.

"A close far." Jean clarified, also with a nervous chuckle.

Kurt looked unconvinced. "Hey Rascal."

"Yeah Kurt?" Another surfer stepped up.

"Seems to me that we've got some unwanted ho-dads-"

"Ho-dads!" Rascal said excitedly, cutting him off.

"-that we need to put the kibosh-"

"Kibosh!" Rascal yelled, cutting him off again.

"Oh, no no no, you've got it all wrong." Scott said.

"We don't jelly-" Kurt said, only to be cut off by Rascal again.

"Jelly!"

Kurt turned back to look at Rascal for a second before continuing. "-roll to outsiders." He finished.

Before they got the chance to say anything else, they were all startled by the sound of engines. The surfers all ran to the back of the restaurant, Scott and Jean following behind.

"That's right!" Scott said, "This is where the surfers and bikers all hang!"

"Bikers?" Jean said, just as several people with motorcycles and leather jackets walked through the doors. The first one to walk in stopped to comb his hair back. "Isn't that Warren?" She said.

More bikers came into the room. "Oh, I remember, the bikers and the surfers both want this place for themselves." Jean said. Some biker girls walked in that they recognized.

"Hey, that's Storm." Scott said. "And Wanda."

In came the last of them, followed by a guy riding in on a motorcycle.

"Great, we landed in the middle of a surf and turf war." Jean said sarcastically.

The biker on the motorcycle took off his helmet.

"Wait, Alex?!" Scott said.

He got up off of his bike and started walking further inside. He snapped to get the others to follow him.

"He must be their leader." Jean noted.

Alex stopped in the middle of the restaurant, snapping again to make everyone else stop as well. He whipped off his sunglasses and looked around.

"Surfers." He said. "Thought I smelled something fishy."

"Rodents." Kurt said, making all of the bikers turn around. "I knew I should've laid some traps."

"Thought you were exterminated." Jubilee said from next to Kurt.

"And I thought you surfers were all washed up." Warren said, stepping forward.

"Yeah, cause clearly, you're all drips." Alex spoke.

"You should make like the ocean and wave goodbye." Storm said before laughing at her own remark. "Cause Alex wants this place all to himself."

"Yeah, Alex wants this place all to himself." Wanda spoke up from next to her.

"Yeah, Alex wants…" Rascal started, before being cut off by a hard glare from Alex.

"They do not lie." He said, gesturing to the group around him.

"Sorry." Kurt started. "But Big Momma's is a perfect hang out. We want it all to ourselves."

"Well," Alex said, "but that might not probably happen."

The two groups glared at each other for a moment, looking like they were about to throw down, as Peter made his way to the front of the group.

"Excuse me. Excuse me. Excuse me." He said as he pushed past people until he reached the front and looked at Alex. "What?" He said, confused.

"I'll show you what." Alex said, snapping in the direction behind the surfers, towards where a girl was standing by a jukebox, dressed in pink leather.

"Amy?!" Scott and Jean said together.

They watched as she put a coin in the jukebox and bumped it with her hip, starting a song.

"Fantastic, they're singing again." Jean said.

Alex was leading this song, snapping his fingers as the other bikers danced around him.

"Okay, that actually looks like fun." Scott remarked, watching them dance around.

Even Amy took a verse, surrounded by some other girls, including Wanda and Storm.

Scott hopped into the group and began to sing a verse, now dressed in leather to match the bikers. Jean looked at the spot next to her where Scott had been just a moment ago, wondering how he had gotten out there and into a different change of clothes so fast.

The song ended and Scott smiled up at Jean.

"You just couldn't help yourself, could you?" She said.

He gave her a sheepish grin. "I remembered that one from the movie, it looked fun."

They left Big Momma's as they were trying to think of ways to get out of their situation.

"We could call the Professor? Or Erik? They were both around in the 60's." Scott suggested.

"Scott, we don't even know what's going on. We could be dreaming for all we know! How did we even get here!" She yelled, before a thought occurred to her. "What's the last thing you remember."

"Uh…" Scott started. He snapped as he remembered. "Oh! We were fighting those guys with the rest of the X-Men! Before that guy shot us with that blue thing."

"Right, but why didn't Kurt remember us? Or anyone else for that matter. And why don't our powers work?"

"I don't know, but weren't Peter and Amy with us when we got zapped?" Scott asked.

"Yes, but I don't know why we remember and they don't." Another thought hit her. "Maybe we're the only ones that are actually stuck here."

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"I mean-" She began. "-What if everyone else is really just the characters from the movie? We're not playing any characters, but they are. Maybe they're not really here."

"Then what about Peter and Amy? They were with us, does that mean that they're really here like we are?"

"I'm not sure about them, but we've got to get to the bottom of this and get out of here."

"Maybe if we finish the movie, then we can leave." Scott suggested.

"I guess we can try it. What do we do in the meantime?"

Just then, a group of surfers came out of Big Momma's, including Peter, Kurt, Jubilee, and Rascal, who oddly enough wasn't being played by someone they knew.

"Hey!" Kurt said, noticing them. "We're having a shredder shindig tonight here at Big Momma's. You should both make the scene!"

"Yeah, but-" Jean started, before being cut off by Scott.

"Sounds blastin'!" He said. "Yeah!"

"Hey, Cowabunga!" The group of surfers all said together as they cheered and ran away.

"Radical!" Scott yelled back at them. "What?" He said at Jean's disapproving glare. "Might as well play along with it!"

Jean continued to glare at him, but then the scene started to change before their eyes, and suddenly, it was night, there were people dancing around Big Momma's, and they were wearing completely different outfits. Jean was now wearing a sundress with her hair in two pigtails, and Scott was wearing cargo shorts and a hawaiian shirt.

"Aw man, I look like a dad on vacation." He said, looking over his outfit.

"This was-how am I wearing-what…" Jean remarked at the outfit change. "Where did these outfits come from?"

"The magic of movies?" Scott replied. "You look nice. Come on, let's go." He said, grabbing her hand as the two of them ran inside.

AN:

Alright, this will not be perfect, but I hope you're enjoying it anyway.

Just a heads up, as you've probably noticed, this story features an OC of mine, Amy. I basically made her awhile ago just to ship with Peter, but then I ended up giving her a whole backstory. If you would like to know more about her, let me know and I'll post her backstory, but it's not very relevant to the story itself.

Anyways, I hope you like it so far! Toodles!
