Ch 1

The Milano cruised through the Jump Point before it arrived at its destination. A forest planet called Turak. The Guardians of the Galaxy, Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot, were on a mission to help a damaged starship under attack. On a computer screen, the Guardians saw a blob of multicolored energy attacking the damaged starship with its energy tendrils.

"We need to save that ship." Gamora said.

"Already on it." Star-Lord said with a grin.

He brought the Milano closer to the energy blob and Rocket fired the energy cannon. The energy blasts hit the blob and it recoiled, letting out an inhuman screech. Rocket kept firing at the energy blob, fracturing it until it burst in a huge rainbow explosion.

"Take that!" Rocket said.

Three more energy blobs arrived and one tried to hit the Milano with its energy tendril. Star-Lord flew the ship out of the way as Rocket fired at the energy blobs. Then Rocket fired the ship's ion missiles and they hit one of the energy blobs, making it burst. "These things are not that tough." Drax said. As if on cue, the two remaining energy blobs combined to form a more bigger energy blob and it slowly moved toward the Milano.

"You just had to jinx it." Rocket said as he rolled his eyes.

"Stop talking and keep firing." Gamora said.

Rocket was doing his best but none of his shots made any difference. Even the ion missiles did nothing as the energy blob moved ever closer. Then the energy blob enveloped the Milano with its energy tendrils. Alarms rang and metal sparked as energy began to bleed into the starship.

"It's trapped us inside itself!" Gamora said.

"My energy cannon's no use!" Rocket added.

"Hang on guys, it's about to get hot!" Star-Lord said. He pressed a button and the Milano let out a burst of energy with its turbo thrusters. The burst of energy caused the energy blob to rip apart and explode into a dozen pieces before those dissolved and the space was clear.

"Good work, Star-Lord." Gamora said.

"Thanks. Drinks are on me." Star-Lord said. They had saved the starship in distress. Mission accomplished.
