Author's Note:

Folks, I just want you to know that this is just a one-time thing and not meant to be the first in a series of things. I just wanted to show you how I think the movie should have ended, since frankly, the ending in the actual movie was kinda lousy.

We pick up where Spot is changed back into his normal dog form.

"Oh Spot, you're back!" Leonard opened up his arms.

"I had to come back, Bunky!" Spot jumped into Leonard's arms. "I love ya and I want to be with ya! Don't you remember?"

"A friend needs a friend..." The two began to sing. "A boy needs a-"

Just then, Leonard's watch started ringing.

"Great Scott! We've gotta meet mom at the awards ceremony!" He gasped. "Come on! Let's go!"

Leonard grabbed Pretty Boy and Jolly and ran outside of Dr. Krank's lab.

"Bye Ian, see you at home!" Leonard said in a rush.

"See ya." Ian shrugged. "He's got a lot of explaining to do when I get home."

"So, uh...what now?" Dennis wondered.

Leonard and his pets ran into the city and finally made it to the awards ceremony.

"Okay guys...we made it..." Leonard huffed. "I'm going inside, you guys stay out here and wait."

"Sure, Leonard!" Spot gave a thumbs up.

"Whatever you say." Mr. Jolly added. "I'm not good with big crowds anyway."

"Why not?" Pretty Boy shrugged.

Leonard ran inside while his pets watched and listened from the outside.

"So Spot, how was being human?" asked Jolly.

"It wasn't really all that great." Spot said. "I think I'd rather dress up as one than become one."

"True dat." Pretty Boy deadpanned. "Humanity is a load of bull. Being a bird is where it's at."

"Shhh, quiet." Mr. Jolly shushed the two. "They're about the announce the winner!"

"...and now, the winner for the NEATO Award is..." the emcee read the winning card. "MRS. MARY LOU HELPERMAN OF FALA D. ROOSEVELT ELEMENTARY!"

"YAHOO!" Mrs. Helperman cheered. "I WON! I WON! I WON! THE CHAMPION! YOU'RE ALL A BUNCH OF LOSERS!"

"THAT'S MY MOM!" Leonard cheered.

Mrs. Helperman got up from her seat, picked Leonard up and kissed him right on the lips.

"YUCK!" Leonard wiped his lips as his mom went onstage accept the award.

"YAH! WHOO HOO!" Spot, Mr. Jolly, and Pretty Boy cheered from outside. "YOU DA MAMA, BABY! YOU DA MAMA, BABY!"

"Well, to quote the immortal Bard, all's well that ends well." Spot smiled.

"Not so fast, smarty." Pretty Boy cut him off. "It ain't over yet. What about us?"

"Yeah, we can't exactly tell her what we we're doing here in Florida." Mr. Jolly pointed out. "So, how in the Heavens are we supposed to get home?"

"Don't worry guys, I've got a plan..." Spot put his arms around them.

"Oh Scott, I'm so glad your family emergency cleared up, so you can drive home with us." Mrs. Helperman smiled.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world, Mrs. H!" Spot smiled. "Let's go!"

Back outside, Pretty Boy and Jolly were hanging onto the RV's ladder tightly as part of Spot's plan.

"I swear Jolly, when we get home, I'm gonna peck him so hard, the pain won't go away for a least a century!" Pretty Boy shouted.

Mrs. Helperman started up the car and drove back home.

After at least a week of driving, the Helpermans finally made it back to East Westland and returned the RV to Principal Strickler. Pretty Boy and Jolly snuck back into the house and got the stray animals impersonating them to leave post haste.

"Hmmm..." Strickler said as he observed the RV. "It seems that everything is in tact, except for the spare tire cover."

"That was uh...probably just something on the road." Leonard fibbed.

"Okay." Strickler shrugged. "Congratulations on the award, Mrs. Helperman."

"Bye Principal Strickler." said Spot, Leonard and Mrs. Helperman.

"Well Scott, you'd best be going home now." Mrs. Helperman said as she got inside. "Your family will be so happy to see you."

As soon as Mrs. Helperman went inside Spot undressed and snuck through the back door to meet Pretty Boy, Jolly and Mrs. Boogins.

"Mrs. Boogins! We're back!" said Mrs. Helperman. "They weren't too much trouble, were they?"

"Oh no, they were just little darlings." She said. "It's almost as if they never left."

"Well that's good, here's you money." Mrs. Helperman paid the old lady. "Bye!"

As soon as Mrs. Boogins left, Leonard joined his pets on the couch to relax after a whole two weeks of mayhem.

"So Spot, now that you know what it's like to be human, are you finally going to stop coming to school and be a normal pet?" Leonard pet Spot's head.

"Nope." Spot shook his head. "Scott Manly-Manning is gone, but Scott Leadready is sticking around for a long time! My thirst for knowledge is never quenched. Besides, if you're gonna take on the fifth grade, I gotta take it on with you!"

"Good." Leonard pet Spot's head. "After all..."

Leonard: A friend needs a friend

Spot: A road needs a bend

Pretty Boy and Jolly: A story needs an end

All: A boy needs a dog!

He's a boy!

Author's Note:

Well folks, that was in my opinion, the true conclusion to the Teacher's Pet series. If only the movie had been a bit longer. Then, we'd have gotten a better ending.
