Indra burned the logs in front of him with Amatersu. He had been thinking about his past again. He thought back to his brother Ashura, how did he lose to him? He was the stronger brother. Always had been. He had lost and he was absolutely dishonoured. He would not rest. So what if he had lost in this lifetime- He had found a way to beat Ashura in different lifetimes. A curse- a curse of hatred.

It had been a few years since he had lost to Ashura and fled his hometown. He had come to a small village far away where no one would know him. He changed his name from Indra Otsutsuki to Indra Uchiha. A lot of things had happened and he took a liking to the village's leader. A pink haired woman named Hana, who was a great healer. He did not love her because loving was a weakness and he was NOT weak. They had married each other because Hana loved him and he needed someone to give him heirs. Someone who will inherit his powerful eyes, he knew some where down the line , another Indra would emerge and would be much more powerful than him. He would find Ashura's reincarnation and finally best him then only would his soul rest.

Many years and some children later Indra found himself growing soft for Hana and his Children, he could feel himself falling for the damn woman. He was strict with his children but he was loving none the less. As the years went by and Indra grew older and older, his love only cemented further and further.

He knew it was their last few days- He had lived a fulfilled life despite the failures in the beginning. He was almost thankful to Ashura, had he not gotten defeated he would never have met Hana and he never would have had the wonderful second half of life. Hana, a woman of 74 now, coughed beside him.

"It was a great life I lived with you, Indra. I hope I find you in the next one as well."

Indra closed his eyes and held Hana close, her once pink hair had lost its colour but he didn't care, he would've loved her even if she was bald.

"It was indeed."

Indra felt Hana's breaths on his chest grow shallower and shallower till they stopped all together and Indra- who had only cried maybe once or twice before, let out a single tear before he kissed the top of her head.

He lived for a few more years, If the Indra of before would've seen him now he surely would've scoffed and called him a soft old man, but he didn't care. He didn't really have anything he could do in this lifetime anymore, so he would wait. Wait till he found Ashura again. And maybe he will be lucky enough to find Hana as well.

Indra's soul was finally laid to rest when Indra's reincarnation finally broke the curse of hatred and joined forces with Ashura instead of besting him to create a better future. It had been a year after Sasuke and Naruto ended the 4th great ninja war and Sasuke finally got released from probation. Sasuke was training with Naruto. He had become friends with almost everyone again but he found a certain someone very hard to approach. Sasuke and Sakura were still not on friendly terms- everytime he saw her, he saw all his past crimes he had done against her and that made it paticularly hard to speak to her. After they were done training Naruto said something that was peculiar.

"Sasuke do you also get some memories from Indra ?"

"What do you mean dobe?"

"Old man Rikudo told me I was the reincarnation of Ashura, and you were the reincarnation of Indra. Sometimes in my dreams I can see his memories. Like fragments of his past. It's weird, it doesn't really mean anything most of the time though. I learnt that Ashura's wife could also use the gentle fist technique- It makes me think that we weren't the only ones who are reincarnates of people of the past."

Sasuke thought about what Naruto said and the implications of what they meant.

"Do you have any Idea why you're getting these memories now?"

"The only other time I could see these memories was when old man Rikudo made me see them... maybe he's trying to make me see something?"

"You said the wife of Ashura could use gentle fist, So can Hinata and she's your fiancé..."

"Girlfriend Sasuke...I haven't asked her yet."

"Hn whatever, Do you think this means that it is destiny or something."

"maybe."

"Do you know anything about Indra's life."

"No... he left the village after Ashura beat him. Maybe you can see the memories too?

"When did you see them?"

"They started just in these last few days. They happen while I'm sleeping."

"Hn. Maybe you should tell Kakashi."

"Call him Rokudaime from now on... atleast Kakashi-sama."

"That pervert will always be Kakashi to me. Bye dobe."

"Yeah, see you tomorrow."

Sasuke closed his eyes in bed and when he opened them he could not make out his bedroom, rather he was in a large meadow with two children in front of him- he tried to move his hand but he couldn't move a muscle- all he could do was observe.

"Indra." Sasuke's finally understood what was happening. So this is what Naruto was talking about.

Indra turned around and saw a Sakura - wait SAKURA?

"Hana. What are you doing here?"

Sasuke thought about it... If Naruto and Ashura had similar wives, Indra and Him would also... Sasuke wanted to be surprised but he couldn't. Some part of him always knew it was going to be her.

"Just wanted to see how the boys were doing, are they alright? Did they hurt each other?"

"You worry too much."

Indra looped a hand around 'Hana' (Sasuke was still convinced this was sakura, the only difference was that her hair was much longer.)

Sasuke was surprised, by Rikudo's tale Indra was a merciless man- much like he had been but here he was seeing his children train with his wife, seems like Hana mellowed him out considerably.

Sasuke did not forget to realise that another woman would have the same effect on him during his genin days.

Sasuke woke up in the morning still thinking of the sweet memory of the past.

The next few months were similar as he saw many more memories. The last one he had was about hana's last moments, he woke up with tears in his eyes. He made a resolve that morning.

Sakura was sleeping in her office in the hospital, Sasuke was proud to see how much she had grown since he left. She had a great responsibility now and he frequently heard Naruto muttering about 'Sakura-chan' over working herself.

He moved towards her and picked he up bridal-style and set her on the couch in the corner of the room and draped her white coat on top of her.

"Saske?" Sakura slurred.

"Go back to sleep, and fall asleep in your bed next time."

"What are you doing here?"

"Nothing, Go back to sleep."

Sakura closed her eyes, she was too tired right now. She unconsciously grabbed the sleeve of the shirt where Sasuke lacked an arm. Sasuke stood next to her unable to move because she was holding him.

Sasuke gave her a soft look when he knew she was sleeping.

"I found you Hana."
