A/N: Alright, we are going to back to the seriousness for a moment. With her amulet sucking up her energy I wondered what if it had took her powers away too?" So I decided to write this. I know we have seen something like that in the show but this will be for a different reason.

Power Drain

"Are you trying to tease me?" Cedric amusingly asked Sofia as they both lay on the ground; taking in the view of the beautiful blue sky. Having just finished a small picnic the princess had prepared the couple somehow started to look at the sky and began cloud watching.

"No, it really does look like a fly cake." Sofia said with a giggle as she pointed to the specific cloud she wanted to show then turned toward him. "Why don't you find a cloud that is shaped like something. It's really fun. Clover and I have a blast finding them."

Not quite exactly understanding why his girlfriend would find this fun the sorcerer began to search for a cloud that could resemble an object of some kind. "That one looks like your amulet."

"Cedric..." Sofia trailed off in a unamused voice.

"No, really. Look." Cedric said as he pointed it out to her. "It really does look like your amulet."

Before Sofia could address Cedric's find the world around them disappeared leaving the couple standing in darkness. "Your boyfriend many not want the amulet anymore but I do..." a familiar voice echoed.

"Who's there?" Sofia asked as both she and Cedric quickly got into a defensive stance.

"Why isn't it obvious Sofia? I am you." A face appeared above them, giving an evil smirk. "After all the experience you've had with villains over the years surely by now you would know they will ALWAYS come back for revenge."

"Yeah, well, you will fall like the others I've defeated. And this time both Cedric and I will stop you." Sofia retorted back to her evil twin.

Hearing the good twin's pathetic threat made the other laugh. "I am afraid you won't have your chance." After delivering her statement the scenery changed to a green glass colored walls and floor. This place was too familiar.

"N-No, no." Sofia looked around in fear at her new surroundings. "I don't want to be here again. Take me out of the amulet!"

"I don't think so. This will be your new home. Permanently. Only this time no one can help you."

Once the face above her had disappeared Sofia was able to see what was going on outside just like the time she had defeated Vor. Only this time she had to watch each of her family and friends fall one-by-one. And what made it worst was that Cedric had had been placed under her evil twin's spell.

"No..." The princess fell to knees after having been forced to see her world fall. "I couldn't protect them. And Cedric..." Unable to finish her statement the girl burried her face in her hands.

"No!" Sofia screamed as she sat up. Looking around she saw that she was back in her room with the sun filtering through her window seat. Informing her that it was morning.

Feeling a nudge in the palm of her hand the teen looked down to see her rabbit friend had come to greet her. Picking him up, Sofia hugged the bunny. "Oh Clover, I had the worst nightmare."

Not hearing a response out of her friend, she sat him down. "Clover, please say something." Instead of words however, the girl saw the rabbit sniff and twitch his nose. "On no, I've lost my powers!"

Seeing that his friend was about to cry the bunny rubbed his head against her hand in comfort. "I have a feeling I know why my powers are gone. The bad news is since the amulet has already been not acting like it should. Cedric said the only way to turn it back to normal is defeat whoever is causing the problem and I have no idea where to find her."

"I guess I better go tell Cedric about this." Sofia said sadly as she sat Clover out of the way, got out of bed and went to get dressed for the day.

"Ah, come on uncle Ceddy!" Calista whined as she tried to reach for the cupcake the sorcerer was holding out of reach from her. "Why can't I take it with me for dessert?"

"Because, it is mine." Cedric said with a smirk.

"I don't see your name on it." The little girl returned the smirk as she crossed her arms and waited for his retort. To her surprise, however, her uncle's name magically appeared on top of the cupcake. "That's cheating!"

"Is it?" Cedric asked as he put his finger to his chin in thought. "Oh well, I guess I'll just go ahead and have it. After all, I don't want to tell your mother I've been giving you too much sugar."

"Uncle Ceddy!" Calista giggled as she grabbed his arm to try to stop him from eating the confection.

Before the uncle and niece duo could continue in their playful banter over the cupcake a knock sounded at the door making both sorcerers to let go of each other. "Come in." Cedric said as he lowered the arm that had the desert.

"Cedric, I've got some bad news." Sofia walked inside. Keeping her head down so neither of them could see her arleady tear-stained face

Noticing that something was wrong Cedric handed Calista the fly cake. "Why don't you go on downstairs, Calista. I believe Sofia and I need to talk privately."

After Calista had left Cedric stood to give his full attention to his girlfriend. "What is the matter?"

Not being able to hold it in any longer Sofia hugged him tight as tears started to flow down her cheeks. "My powers are gone. When I woke up this morning I wasn't able to talk to Clover."

Hearing this piece of news shocked the sorcerer. Placing his hands on her back he began to run them up in down in circles to calm her. "The only time the amulet would take your powers away would be because of a curse. Are you under one?"

Lifting her head and she shook it. "I really don't think it has that ability anymore now that Elena is set free. I have a feeling Sofia the Worst is behind all of this. She did turn my amulet black when she was here last time."

The sorcerer hummed at this news as he released Sofia, sat himself down on his chair and pulled out the his writing materials. "As I have said before, my dear. I'm afraid you may have to deal with your evil copy to fix the amulet but I want you to tell me all of the powers the amulet has given you."

"Why?"

"Just trust me." Cedric said as he turned around for a moment to give her gentle smile.

Giving in, Sofia started from the beginning. Telling of how and what each power did to aid her in her quests. Once she was finished the princess saw he nearly had a full page of his notes. "Again, how will you knowing all my powers help?"

"I'm going to be working on something while you are at school." Cedric said as he turned back around, stood up and clasped his hands with hers. " Both you and I know that those two who came after us will be back again. And I have a feeling that day fast approaching."

You're right." Sofia nodded. "But how will I be able to defend myself when they come back . I mean I know I can use a wand but will that be enough?"

"Until I get this special project done you'll need to start using a wand again." Picking up one of the extra wands from a nearby cup he handed it to her. "Here. I want you to start carrying this wand around you wherever you go."

"I will." Sofia said as she put it in the pocket of her dress.

"You better go now, my dear." Cedric said as he kissed her. "You don't want to be late for school."

Once Sofia was gone the man sat down again and began crafting his object. "I hope this turns out successful. If it does't I may very well be the last hope she has left." Giving a smirk at his own words he chuckled "And I don't think relying on my protection won't be much."

A/N: This story was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I'm also not very pleased that it's not very well written but I tried my best. Please review!
