"Oh no! I'm gonna be late for school, AGAIN!" Delia groaned. "Silverspark!" she shouted, holding up her magical power source. A click reverberated around the room as the Silverspark activated.

"Yay! Hello Delia!" a voice smiled. It was Sunflower, her magical companion. She had appeared right next to Delia.

"Hi! Long time no see. Gotta be quick to get to school. Speed!" she cried. Sunflower's eyes turned green.

Delia's eyes turned green. She ran at the speed of light to school. "Silverspark." She whispered, her powers deactivating. She walked into the classroom with a sigh.

"Delia West. Late again, I see?" Mrs Everbrook glared with a faltering sigh.

"I- I'm sorry, I- I lost my, uh, cat, and then I had to look for it, then, uh, the cat got burnt so I had to take it to the vet and they did a very long surgery on it to remove the fire from her then, uh, she survived but then I was late to school and I'm really really really really"

Most of the class giggled. Lilly Lake rolled her eyes melodramatically.

The truth was that she had been fighting a supervillain with Lilly Lake, who was her superhero and non-superhero friend.

"That's not how surgery works." Shantelle scowled.

"Get to your seat, Delia." Mrs Everbrook sighed.

Delia meekly took her place next to Lilly.

"You idiot. Why do you have to come up with such lame excuses!?" she sighed.

"Oh, sorry, what would you have done?" Delia huffed, crossing her arms.

"I would have said how there was a lot of traffic in the area. OR, I would have simply keep my mouth shut and accept that I was late."

"Ok, ok, fine."

"Also, you could have used your silverspark." Lilly sighed.

"I DID. But I was still late, because I was—" Delia started.

"Yes, duh, I was there too. What were you doing after we fought Serpent?"

"I— nothing." Delia sighed.

"SILENCE, YOU TWO!" Mrs Everbrook roared.

"I— sorry."

"Don't worry." She stated nonchalantly, a sly smile unfolding on her face. "You just have to answer this question and you'll be excused for your naughtiness and disruption to the lesson."

Delia blinked.

"Who is Serpent?"

"Um, I— I don't know much about her, OBVIOUSLY, like, it's not like I'm a superhero who fights her. I've just heard of her once or twice, that's all. I… heard about her on the news. Not… never saw her obviously. She is a supervillain who tries to steal my— I mean, uh, Gleam's magical jewel that gives m— uh, her, magical powers. Like a miraculous. It's called a Silverspark. UH, I think. I— I heard."

"No. I asked you WHO Serpent is."

"Like, which person? I don't know her secret identity."

"Do we now?" she whispered, her sly smile becoming larger and larger, until it became a menacingly maniacal grin.

"I AM SERPENT!" She roared. "And I know that you are Gleam, Delia. And Lilly? I know that you are that superhero sidekick of hers."

"Um, she's actually MY sidekick." Lilly glared.

"Not important right now!" Delia rolled her eyes, speaking through gritted teeth.

"Well…" Miss Everbrook, or rather, the supervillain Serpent smiled smugly. "Sass, scales, slither!".

"ohhhhhh… no."

"Second Chance!" she activated her power.

"Oh nah."

"Silverspark!" Delia activated her power of giving herself any power. The Silverspark was similar to the prodigious, except there were no renlings.

AN: The prodigious is from the Shanghai special, if you are struggling to understand this story then you probably haven't watched it or didn't understand it enough. Renlings are the red cute little creatures that give the prodigious holder the powers. MOREEEE CHAPTERS, COMIN SOON.
