I've published this before, but in Indonesian language.
Hinata never come late to school, she is one of the people who wait for the train since dusk.
And today is no different. The Hyuuga girl waits the morning train that's should be arrived in few minutes. As she waits, she prays to God so that she could take the lessons with no difficulty today.
The "good morning" sounds surround her. The greeting that is said by the girls in uniforms just like her. A typical sailor uniform with a school pin on it that could grab the attention of some eyes. Her friends from her all girls school. Of course, Hinata replies all those warm greetings from her friends with a sweet curved smile.
Pale black beads of hers then look at a digital clock that's hanging on the ceiling of the station.
7:9 a.m. Just in 3 minutes.
The girl then walks a little forward, getting close to the boundaries. Her eyes seem to be looking for something, so does her hands, holding the backpack, nervously. This time. This time, hinata prays so that the thing that she's looking for could come faster.
When her beads catches up a glimpse of bright yellow hair amongst many human, she finally exhales. Another sweet smile on the lips. Slowly she walked toward the group of several students from other schools with different uniforms. Not too close, but enough to observe the visualization of a blonde young man in a school uniform who is in the middle of chatting with his friends.
With just this, Hinata feels very happy this morning. Hinata doesn't dare to get any closer to where she is now. She thinks the spot she is on is safe. And if she got closer, she could get caught watching that young man with beautiful blue eyes.
Sometimes the girl feels that this feeling is ridiculous.
Hinata falls in love. To the young man who is on the front of her.
The young man whose school and name are unknown to that girl. To the even, his characters and school grades, Hinata is completely blinded. Looks like a foreigner, one of the billions of human population that wastes the earth's oxygen. But Hinata does not understand at all, how could she be so attracted to that boy?
That girl had to admit too, after nearly a dozen years of attending an all-girls school — Hinata finally felt this feeling of what people say is called falling in love. But then again — why does it have to be that boy?
Hinata doesn't understand. Love is wants what it wants. That girl can't control her own feelings.
When her pale beads begins to pick up on the movements of the person being noticed, Hinata immediately cut off contact. Ducked a little bit while squeezing the handle even more on the backpack. Her face felt hot — even though it was still winter, for some reason Hinata even feels more regret because this time that girl is wearing her favorite lavender scarf. Hinata chooses to hide a little of her face in her favorite scarf, her eyes glanced at the movement of the boy silently from behind the thick bangs and baby hair that framed her face.
It doesn't stop there, nor only he makes her face burn, that boy also manages to make Hinata's chest flutter very hard. It seems like Hinata's heart could now jump out. Her stomach is filled with thousands of butterflies which made the girl a little amused.
They just passed each other. The young man seems to be welcoming one of his friends who had just arrived. But the effect was tremendous for the girl.
Coinciding with the return of Uzumaki to the very front of the waiting boundary area, the train they are going to be riding on arrived.
Precisely at 7:12 a.m. They enter the second train, just like every other day.
In a train full of passangers, there is no seat they can on. Standing some distance away and blocked by dozens of other humans, with Hinata's heart always connected in some ways.
From the train that departs at 7:12 every morning, Hinata can always see what the boy is doing. How was his bright smile — looking handsome like a prince without a horse, his voice that was faintly heard — but always managed to make Hinata flutter, and the boy's crisp laugh. Bright. As pleasant as the clear sky with the summer sun that is not too hot, just like the fond memories of Hinata's childhood in Hokkaido.
It was 7:12 a.m, when the two of them have a short date for tens of minutes before finally reaching their destinations. Hinata, who always looks pathetic every morning, is only able to look at the boy who is still chatting with his friends in silence. However, with hallucinations, the girl daydreams that they were lovers.
Hinata is on this train for twenty minutes. Hoping that at least the boy would look at her — just staring at the train window that shows the dense reflection of the people who are in there. Hinata wants to at least go back to seeing that beautiful sapphire beads even if it was faint.
The train stops at several points, some passengers leave, some started to get on. Hinata will usually get off at the station before that boy, making the girl have to separate from the beloved young man.
That girl looks back at the boy from afar, before finally feeling that the train begins to slow down and stop.
Hinata sighs, helpless. Her pathetic one-way date will end here. With a feeling of tightness in her chest, the girl begins to walk towards the train door that was already open and the people already stepping out.
"The girl with long hair and pale purple scarf!" When Hinata steps into her school area train station, a voice that somehow sounds familiar greets her ears. And what is that voice trying to tell?
Long hair and pale purple scarf? Somehow Hinata feels like she is being summoned. Considering that she's the only girl that has that scarf color. And, her hair is indeed long.
Hinata quickly turns her head back, towards the source of the sound. But after seeing the source of the sound, the girl feels like her soul just leave her body.
That boy.
That boy who she sees as her first love in her daydream. The boyfriend on her one-way date that gets on the train at 7:12 each morning.
"This is yours, right? I saw it fell from your bag earlier. " The young man approaches her with a stick of chocolate to which he had given a sweet ribbon — and it's pale lavender.
Hinata just remembers that it is February 14th, Valentine's Day. Yesterday, the girl bought herself a discounted bar of chocolate, giving a ribbon to sweeten it. Hinata didn't even notice that the chocolate bar that she remembered being on her study table at home would be in her bag like this.
But most importantly—
The young man is now here, right in front of her. In the middle of asking her to talk.
Hinata feels that her dream last night was not so strange, she couldn't really remember.
"Hey? Can you hear me? This is your chocolate, right? "
"A-ah, yes, it's mine." Hinata finally makes a voice, even though the girl was still silent.
"Then take it, you will give it to the boy you like, right? It's not good if I keep holding other people's rights like this. "
The moment she is hearing this words from him, Hinata could impress the young man; bluntly. Get to the point.
But the crazy thins is, Hinata's heart is just in beating in love.
"A-ah, that ..." Hinata is very confused about what to do at this point. The girl is still very, very unprepared for such an important event that happens suddenly.
"Seriously, you don't want to take it again? The chocolate is still intact, I guess. Not dirty yet. People you like will understand. After all, the most important thing is the 'intention.'"
Hinata's face got hotter, especially since earlier that young man had always been saying the word 'like'.
I like you.
"I-just take it," Hinata finally takes a bold step. The girl lowers her head. Holding even tighter to the handle on the bag. "T-that's t-for you."
The young man's blue eyes get rounded. "Huh? Seriously? I would love to be given chocolate from a girl as cute as you, but this is for the person you like. After all, I felt I had— "
"—Because people." The young man continues in a voice that is almost like a whisper.
Hearing that, it made Hinata look up again. The girl seems disagreeing in some way. Indeed, she bought it for herself. But judging from her feelings, Hinata does like that young man.
I like you, really. "I like you, really."
There is lil bit a moment of silence.
"—What?"
Hinata holds herself back, trying to keep her consciousness, how could her inner voice come out?!
Immediately, Hinata turns around. Awkwardly, the girl tires to find her friends to save herself. Hinata doesn't want to replies back at the young man's confusion at all. Literally, the girl wants to bury herself now.
"Uzumaki Naruto, my name is Uzumaki Naruto! Anyway tomorrow morning I'll meet you again to ask for an explanation. I'm serious, weird but cute girl!"
With one glance, Hinata knows that the young man is smiling as he runs to re-enter the train that is about to close.
What just happened?
Hinata feels that her body could explode at any time like a ticking time bomb.
Uzumaki Naruto, a suitable name.
Naruto-kun.
So, is a date every 7:12 a.m going to be a two-way date?
I don't know, Hinata gets weak and closes her eyes happily in the arms of Tenten —her classmate— who approaches her now.
