Round One
I am hoping this will be the start of something more, but I am starting small as it's been quite a long time since I wrote or published anything. Dedicated to all those who write and keep the fandom alive, and all those who read and keep coming back, making it feel worthwhile.
16 March 2020 - Somewhere in London
"No!" She says quite firmly, her expression closed and unwavering.
"Ye..." he begins, but then stops dead when she puts her hand up in his face, in a "talk to the hand" motion.
"NO!" Again but louder, and leaving no doubt about the possibility of discussing it.
He takes a deep breath, and thinks carefully about his next approach. He knows he can't walk away, just as he knows it's not up for discussion, at least not on her part.
Sometimes the only way to deal with her, is to be as smart as she is, and he hasn't got a snowflakes chance of that happening.
So if he can't play to her strengths, and use brains, he'll have to play to his strengths, and use brawn!
He bends slightly and takes hold of the handles on his bags, lifting them he straightens up, nods his head and smiles at her. He can see already that she thinks he's going to retreat, she relaxes a little, and takes her hand off the door, just what he was waiting for.
Quick as a flash he darts through the space, and before she knows what's happened, he's standing in her hallway, with that annoying grin on his face, that tells her without a shadow of a doubt, that he's not leaving anytime soon.
Round one to him.
