Chapter 1: The Hollow Shot Part 1
New York, 2021.
"We need to get the hell out of here," wailed out Castle over to Beckett.
"You don't think that I know that you're not even a cop you weren't even supposed to be here," screamed back Beckett to Castle with the undertone of anger.
"This is not the time to be sarcastic, we are in a deadly situation," replied Castle.
They were both stuck between a rock and a hard place, and they were two shooters one either side of them. Their only way out was a red door on the side of the building that they were stuck inside, but they had to get past one of the shooters to get to it.
As they started to move towards the door, Beckett let out a shoot from her gun which clipped the shoulder of one of the shooters. They had the free path to the door, one of the shooters were down and the other one was out of sight and could not see them. They were now hiding behind a table counter, the door only a few meters away from them. Beckett moved first as she was the one with a gun.
Danger struck as the other shooter was able to get sight on Beckett and took the shot.
The bullet landed on the floor just Infront of Castle.
"That was lucky," said Castle.
"No, it wasn't," replied Beckett turning around to show Castle the hole in her ribcage.
"Beckett," screamed Castle.
As he crawled over to Beckett to help her, the other shooter ran away, he picked up something to hold over the gun hole. As Castle held the cloth he had found over the wound, he picked up Beckett's phone to phone up Javier and Kevin.
"Hello, Castle what do you want. I'm busy now so be quick," said Javier.
"Beckett's been hit," replied Castle.
"Oh, we will be there instantly," said Javier hustling himself and Ryan out of the precinct to get to Beckett and Castle.
10 minutes later.
Javier, Kevin and a bunch of doctors and nurses rushed into the building to help. Beckett was just barely clinging to life with Castle doing whatever he could do to help, as the doctors and nurses hurried to help Beckett telling Castle to back away so they can do their jobs and save her life.
"Why were guys even here, this place looks like it has been abandoned for years," questioned Kevin.
"Yeah, why were you here, plus you guys are married and now have kids, you need to be more careful in the future because trust me if something happens to the both of you me and Laine are definitely not ready to have kids yet, hopefully she will make it she survived this before I am sure she can do it again," added Javier.
"We were just following up on a lead that we found," replied Castle worried outside of his mind about his wife.
Castle, Javier and Ryan rushed to the hospital behind the ambulance heading to the hospital.
Apart from the fact that there was a dying detective in the ambulance in front it was a peaceful ride until they reached a roadblock. Castle, Kevin and Ryan got out of their cars to see what was happening as they peeked into the front of the ambulance to see what the drivers were doing, they were knocked out cold from something and suddenly from behind a group of masked men knocked out the three of them, opened the back door of the ambulance, and shot the doctor that was helping Beckett.
An hour later.
The three of them finally woke up. Esposito quickly checked the back of the ambulance.
"Guys, she gone, they took her,"
