Snowdin
Frisk had just exited the Ruins.
They began to walk further into the woods when they heard footsteps behind them. They looked over their shoulder and found melted snow in the shape of footprints coming from the Ruins door. This wasn't Sans's style.
Eventually, they arrived at a gate made of solid ice. 'What? Where are Papyrus's bars?' they thought.
The footsteps were getting closer.
"Human. Don't you know how to greet a new pal? Turn around, and shake my hand."
Frisk reluctantly took the stranger's hand. They were surprised when they saw his face. It wasn't another monster, it was a human boy. 'And where's Sans?'
The boy wore an outfit similar to Sans's, with some minor differences. He wore a red jacket, white shirt, black pants, and no shoes. He had curly brown hair and a set of emerald green eyes. Beneath his feet were footprints imprinted into the snow.
"Lemme guess. You're a human, right? That's interesting. Name's Dominic. I walk through this part of Snowdin to pass time. What's that? You think I'M human? HA! That's funny, kid. Anyways, I don't really care about capturing anybody. My brother Gregory on the other hand, he won't stop until you're dead and buried. Actually, I think that that's my brother over there. Don't worry, i'll show you how to evade him."
The duo walked through the ice gate and Dominic had Frisk hide behind a lamp.
Soon, another human, although far younger, walked into the area.
This one wore a gray shirt with a cyan scarf around his neck. He also wore white pants and blue shoes.
"Hey, brother."
"Don't hey brother me. It's been 8 months since you've recalibrated your traps! You just sleep at your station. So help me god, if you don't start taking your job seriously, i'll break your spine!"
Gregory left after throwing a rock at his brother. This was certainly different from Frisk's other runs. From what they understood, they were in a timeline that replaced Sans and Papyrus with monsters that resembled humans.
"You can come out, kid. If you follow this path, you'll run into him. But, who knows, maybe that won't be so bad for you."
Dominic walked back toward his brother. Frisk followed. They knew that if they wanted to leave, they needed to go this way.
Soon, they came upon Dominic and Gregory standing together. Gregory quickly took notice of Frisk.
"Human! Pass this area, and i'll have no choice but to capture you. Move forward, if you dare!"
Gregory ran further into the forest. The only reason he didn't kill Frisk there was simply due to him wanting to show the child his puzzles and traps.
Dominic took this chance to tell Frisk about his magic.
"Listen, Gregory has a pretty neat ability. You know about Blue Magic, right? Long story short, blue attacks can't hurt you if you remain still. Well, my brother can use COLD MAGIC. If you get hit by an Ice Attack, your speed'll decrease by a lot. But don't worry, if you move around a lot, then the frost'll just shake off ya."
The colored grid puzzle was replaced with an ice maze. Invisible barriers preventing the child from moving in certain directions. It was a lot more complicated than the maze that always let them pass scot-free. Every now and again, Frisk would see patches of Blue Snow. Best not to mess with it.
After getting past a ton of other traps and puzzles, Frisk found themselves on a long bridge.
"This is the final trap, human! Stand there any longer, and you'll be frozen alive!"
Gregory never got to trigger the trap as he was thrown into the abyss by his brother.
"He'll be fine."
Frisk tried to disregard the blatant lack of safety and went into town.
They went straight to Papyrus's battle area, unable to contain the excitement of seeing a new scenario.
The battle started before they even saw Gregory. A shard of ice flew past their head.
"Human, I gave you a chance. Now, you die." Gregory said.
*Gregory blocks your way.
The battle was vastly altered from the original. Instead of a naive child trying not to hurt his opponent, they were fighting against someone with no mercy. Shards of ice jutted from all sides of the battle box, making it a much harder battle than anticipated. Frisk decided to CHECK him to see if they could find anything that could help them SPARE him.
*Gregory
*ATK 30
*DEF 30
*He REALLY wants to beat you.
'How do I SPARE him?' Frisk thought as shards of ice were shot at them. They spared Papyrus by appealing to his merciful side, but this monster was legitimately trying to kill Frisk. But he had to have a reason, right?
Frisk was only able to escape due to Dominic pushing his brother into the river. Frisk and Dominic stared at eachother in uncomfortable silence.
"Well, that ended well." Dominic said to Frisk before going into Waterfall.
Waterfall
Upon entering, Frisk saw a drenched Gregory walk up to Undyne. "Did you find the human?" The fishlady asked.
"Yeah."
"Did you capture them?"
"Unfortunately, no. A monster pushed me into the river before I could do anything."
Dominic made fewer appearances in Waterfall than Sans did, by that I mean not at all. The climate of the marsh wasn't to his liking.
But that didn't mean there weren't any changes. The River Person said some weird stuff. And this was Mr./Ms. "The water is wet today." we're talking about.
"Tra la la. Beware the man who lost everything."
"Tra la la. There's no Judge here."
"Tra la la. Anyone can riff off this AU."
That last one confused Frisk, but they had a feeling R.P. said it for a reason.
Grillby's
After sparing Undyne, Dominic had asked Frisk to join him at the pub.
"Hey kid. Sorry 'bout not being there in Waterfall, I just don't really like wet places." the red-clad boy said with a sheepish smile. Then out of nowhere, the world around them was shrouded in a red aura. Grillby and Dominic shared a look before the bartender went into the back room. "There's something I wanna talk to you about. You know my brother, right? What do you think of him?"
*You say Gregory is incredibly powerful.
"Yeah, he practices every day so he can beat Undyne. I think you've met her already."
*The memory of the spears flying at you still burns in your mind.
"Yeah. So, my brother has challenged Undyne in the past, but he's never won. That's why he was so intent on beating you. He thought if he absorbed your soul, maybe he'd be able to finally surpass her."
That...wasn't what Frisk expected. Soon after, Dominic vanished without saying anything else.
MTT Resort
Dominic was nowhere to be found. Not surprising after what he said in Snowdin. Was this world's Papyrus really going to absorb their soul?
No.
This wasn't Papyrus.
Judgement Hall
As expected, Dominic appeared in the golden corridor. "So. This is the end of your journey. It's been fun for you, hasn't it?"
*You nod.
"Heh. Anyways, once you leave this room, you'll face Asgore. Can you do me a favor?"
*You ask what he wants you to do.
"Would you mind...killing Asgore for me?"
*You get a shocked look on your face as you step back.
"Don't worry, I won't force you to do anything. But...after all he's done, it would just make sense if he paid for his crimes. (even if i fixed them.)" Dominic then disappears from sight, leaving you to complete the Neutral Route.
*Your phone starts ringing.
"Heya, Dominic here. Thanks for doing what I asked you to do. I know it couldn't've been easy for you."
"But, some people down here are not of the same mind as me. Especially Undyne. She kinda hates you now. So...good luck with that."
"Toriel came back. She started a new law saying that all humans that come down here are to be treated as friends. Sounds nice, right?"
"Yeah. Anyways, there's a big secret you missed. Something unique to Underburnt. Oh, you're wondering what i'm talking about?"
"Hehe. I didn't think it'd make sense. So..."
"What are you going to do now?"
