It was a normal day in Shinra. General Sephiroth was working on paperwork for SOLDIER. He had silver waist-length hair with gravity-defying bangs and luminous green eyes with cat slits as the pupil. He wore a black leather open coat with no shirt and two stripes across the torso. He also wore black pants with thigh-high black boots. Commander Genesis Rhapsodes was setting cadets on fire, you know the usual. He had auburn hair with luminescent aqua-blue eyes and a single earring on his right ear. He wore a crimson coat with a black turtle-neck shirt and black pants with red thigh-high high heels. On his way to the General's office he ran into Angeal Hewley, his childhood friend and fellow Commander, and Zackery Fair, 2nd Class SOLDIER, student of Angeal, and puppy. Angeal and Zack could have passed for brothers with their black hair but while Zack's looked like a hedgehog, Angeal's lied flat. While they both had blue eyes, Zack's had a hint of violet. Zack got the nickname Puppy because he is hyper and does squats while standing still.
As they enter the office, the intercom turns on.
"General Sephiroth, please report to Director Lazard's office at once," the intercom states with a feminine voice.
"Is there anybody else that is needed?" he states.
"Yes, please bring in Commanders Genesis Rhapsodes, Angeal Hewley and 2nd Class, Zackery Fair."
"It is Zack, I tell you, Zack! What is so hard to remember about that simple name?!"
Ignoring Zack's demands, Sephiroth presses the button, while he states they will be there soon.
"What did you do this time, Genesis, Zackery?" He states.
"I didn't do anything this time, Seph. Infinite in mystery is the gift of the goddess. I'm at just at a loss as you are," Genesis says while leaning on Sephiroth.
"We should get moving to see what the Director wants," saids Angeal.
The two lovers got off each other and started to move to the door.
"Zachery are you coming or are you going to spend the rest of our work day on the floor whining?" saids Genesis while looking at Zach with a look that promises being set on fire.
"I'm coming, I'm coming, please don't sent me on fire, Gen. I think Aerith would like having me in one piece." saids the puppy.
"Yes, well, it isn't my problem if you decide to get set on fire. All that awaits you is a somber morrow, no matter where the winds may blow. Sometimes I wonder what that flower girl sees in you," he states while walking away.
"Genesis..."
"Hmm? What is it Seph?"
"Please don't set Zackery on fire. I don't want to do with a lecture and the paperwork from it."
"Fine, anything for you Seph." he saids while leaning against Sephiroth.
"Come on, lovebirds, we might have a mission," Zack saids while doing squats.
"Like you don't act like this with Aerith. Oh, wait you do. I..."
"Genesis, enough. We have to go to the Director and right now your making us late," said Angeal interjecting into the conversion with the two lovers.
"Fine, I suppose I will stop. Dreams of the morrow hath the shattered soul, pride is lost, wings stripped away, the end is nigh. I do hope though you let me punish the puppy for that comment."
"Genesis, your idea of punishment would be setting him on fire and that would be dishonorable," Angeal stated.
"We should not be keeping Director Lazard waiting," replied Sephiroth in his deep baritone.
They start heading to the Director's office. As they reach the door and press the button, a voice calls out, "Come in."
As they enter the room, they see a blonde man with blue eyes sitting at a desk flooded with paperwork.
"You called us here, Director?" Sephiroth asks.
"Yes, thank you for coming. Lately we have received a report for the Department of Admissive Research. In this report, there is a mention of a strange phenomenon. Your mission is to investigate this phenomenon. Is that understood?"
"Understood, Director. We shall leave at once," Sephiroth replies.
Meanwhile on a place known as the Surface, there was a problem. The problem has the floating hole in the middle of Faron Woods. Zelda and her boyfriend, Link are trying to poke the hole and scan it.
"It's times like this I wish Fi was awake," Link said wishfully.
"Maybe, but we should try to solve these problems without divine intervention. Din, Nayru, and Farore are relying to us to try to protect and take care of the Surface." Zelda replied.
All of sudden, the hole glows golden and 4 people fall out of it. These people were dressed strangely to the denicitzens of the surface and looked almost like demons.
Link is about to pull out his sword and shield but Zelda stops him.
*Five minutes earlier*
The four SOLDIERS arrive at the phenomenon.
"It looks like a floating hole," Zack stated.
"No really, I thought it was a hole in the ground. The wandering soul knows no rest." Genesis replies sarcastically.
"Genesis, enough." Sephiroth replies exasperated.
Genesis walks towards the hole and casts Firaga. However the spell reflects back. Zack walks up to the hole and accidentally slips and starts falling. Everyone else tries to stop him but they all end up falling though the hole.
*Present time*
Link and Zelda are fingering their weapons, well Link is, Zelda is just looking at the new arrivals.
"Zackery, off of us now or your becoming Gongata fried puppy."
"Sorry, Gen,"
"Don't call me that!"
"Who are you?"
All movement stops as everyone looks to the speaker of the question.
"Sorry about Genesis and Zackery, this is usual for them,"
"It is alright, but who are you and where are you from?" Zelda repeated.
"I am Sephiroth. The red-haired is Genesis. The energetic one is Zackery. The person who is trying to pull apart Genesis and Zackery is Angeal."
"It's nice to meet you. I'm Zelda and my friend is Link."
"It's nice to meet you." Link saids quietly enough that it was a strain to hear and puts away his sword and shield.
"Where are we? I swear, Zackery if you manage to get us stuck here there won't be enough for you left for Aerith to bury." Genesis states while summoning Firaga.
"No setting Zack on fire." Angeal saids while grabbing Genesis's hand and forcing him to dispel the spell.
"What was the magic?" Zelda asks curiously, "I haven't seen a spell that looks like that before..." she trails off.
"It is a spell called Firaga. It summons fire to use as an attack." Genesis answers.
"Do you think you know a way to get us back home?" Zack asks while doing squats.
"Probably. If you ended up going here because of the floating hole, then logic dictates you should be able to head back though the hole." Zelda replies uncertainly.
"It was nice to meet you Link and Zelda," Sephiroth saids. The others mutter sounds of agreement. They step though the hole and leave.
"Do you think we'll see them again, Zels?"
"I'm not sure. The hole will probably vanish in the next day or two. We should head back and let everyone know there is no problems." They head back to the mini-town they founded.
*Sometime later*
Ghiriham is wandering the Surface, trying to see hidden from the Skychild and the Spirit Maiden. He notices the hole and the dark presence it radiates. He then decides to step though.
After falling though the hole to another world, Ghiriham was overjoyed. He sensed this world's power. He wondered if he would be able to revive his master by the life force here. He then realized he landed in a snowy mountain and saw an old anbanded mansion. He then headed inside and dispatched the monsters there. Soon afterwards, he reaches a door with a label, he cannot read. He then breaks down the door with his sword and looks into a room with what looks like a body floating in liquid.
When he breaks the glass, the body falls forward. He then cuts off the head.
All of a center a voice appears in his head.
"Please help me, my child" it saids.
"And why should I help you? I'm the Demon Lord, Ghiriham, not a lowly peasant." he saids dramatically.
"I'm your mother, my child" the voice said.
"And why should I listen to a voice?" Ghiriham replied arrogantly.
"They stole this world from me. Punish them, my son,,"
"Does this mean I can kill them?" Ghiriham replies joyfully.
"Punish then how you see fit, my child,"
"Finally, I get to punish the hero and the Spirit Maidan and get to kill people!"
Ghiriham then leaves the manner and heads to the town outside and slaughters everyone there.
*Later in Shinra*
There was an emergency board meeting called about what happened in Nibilehiem.
"Does anyone have any information about the cause of this?" The President asked.
"No sir, but we are working on finding out as soon as possible." Tseng, leader of the Turks said.
"Anything else? I do have experiments to get back too." Professor Hojo saids in a very disrespectfully and rude way.
"Very well. General Sephiroth, I want to take the First Classes and go check out Nibilehiem. Dismissed." The President dismisses the group and they all go their separarte ways.
"Hey, Seph. Why didn't do you tell him about what we found?" Genesis asks.
"We have nothing to show for it and we don't know what it is." He replies.
*At the same time on the Surface*
"Hey, Zels?"
"Yes, what is it Link?"
"Didn't you say the hole would be gone in a day or two?"
"Yes, why?"
"Well, it's been almost a week and the hole is still there."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"Do you want to go check on it?"
"We should, let's go."
As they make their way to the floating hole, Zelda started feeling something.
"I think I sense Ghirahim."
"I thought he died." Link saids confused.
"I thought he did too. We should hurry up."
They ran to the hole and Zelda confirmed Ghirahim made his way though the hole.
"We should follow." Zelda stated confidently.
"You sure?"
"Yes, we have to stop before he can try doing what he almost did here," and with those words do Link and Zelda head though the floating hole.
There is a loud thump on the ground and sounds of pain.
"Where are we?" A female voice asks.
"We aren't on Skyloft or the Surface..."A male voice responds.
Zack hears this and pulls out his sword and slowly walks forward.
"Wait, Link? Zelda?" He asks, confused.
"Zack?!" Both ask.
"What are you two doing here?" Zack asks.
"Ghirahim." Zelda replies gravely.
"Who is Ghirahim?"
"A Demon Lord we thought we killed." Link replies darkly.
"Do you want some help?" Zack offers.
"Y...You would help?" Zelda stutters, confused.
"Why wouldn't I?" Zack saids.
"If you want to..." Zelda saids uncertain.
"Great! Oh by the way, Seph and Gen are here."
"Let's go." Zelda saids.
*At the same time*
Ghiriham heads into a forest with purple apples. 'What is with these ridiculous apple colors?' He thought. As he continued moving though the forest and he noticed a cave. As he headed into the cave, he noticed a trophy case filled with apple juice. He then destroyed it with his sword.
'Finally, that is gone.'
'Continue following the roads. Then you should meet my other sons and my Chosen One,'
'Chosen One?!'
'My son, Sephiroth,' the voice said filled with pride.
He continues following the roads. As he continues he finds a traveler and cuts out the eyes, eats them, and the silts the throat of the traveler.
"What are you two doing here?" Genesis asks, questioning and confused.
"We followed a Demon Lord named Ghirahim here and hope to kill him permanently this time." Zelda replies.
"Can't say I have ever heard of him." Genesis saids.
"Wha...What was that?" Zelda asks as debris is falling.
"Not sure. Sephiroth, what is going on over there?" Genesis yells.
"..."
"Never mind. We'll head over there!"
After they make it over to where the explosion happened, they spot someone.
"Ghirahim!" Link and Zelda yell.
"This is the Demon Lord?" Sephiroth asks calmly.
"So you have heard of me?" Ghirahim asks cruelly.
"Only thing we know is your the Demon Lord."
With that statement, a battle starts. Zack pulls his sword and tries to slash at Ghirahim but he grabs the sword and uses it against Zack, slashing him in the side. Genesis then casts Firaga but Ghirahim dodges and sends a blast of crystal which Genesis dodges. Link then uses the break in Ghirahim's defenses Genesis made and moves forward with a stabbing motion. It just misses the crystal on Ghirahim's torso but Ghiriham grabs the sword before it could penetrate his skin and tossed Link to the ground. After Link falls to the ground, Genesis runs at him with his rapier but Ghirahim manages to freeze him in place.
"Genesis?" Zack asks.
"I don't know why I can't move Fair!" Genesis replies.
"There seems to be some sort of presence surrounding him. Actually, it seems to be surrounding all of you but it seems to be stronger around him." Zelda states confused.
"What does that information have to do with Genesis not being able to move?" Sephiroth asks while blocking Ghirahim, who decided to try to attack Zelda while she was talking.
"Not sure." is Zelda's reply.
"Oh, just die!"
After this statement is spoken by Ghirahim, Link stands up and tries to hold his sword while blood is running down his side. Ghirahim swings his sword at Link who backflips but manages to get hit by the blade. Ghirahim then licks the blood off of the blade which disgusts everyone there. He then walks to Link and licks his cheek.
"This thing has problems," Zack states which summarizes everyone's feelings well.
Link manages to get Ghirahim off him which leads to him following Zack instead.
Sephiroth sees an opening and stabs though Ghirahim's crystal from the other side.
"No...No, I was supposed to win! You'll pay for this!" and with those words Ghirahim dies permanently.
"Thank you for your help." Zelda saids.
"Not a problem. Although, Infinite in mystery is the gift of the goddess, I do wonder how he got here." is Genesis's reply.
"Do you think he will return?" Sephiroth asks.
"I don't think so especially sense his body just disintegrated, but I'm not sure." Zelda states.
"He did seem to be stronger then when I fought him last but that could be because he was actually trying." Link saids.
"The hole is in Nibilehiem, right?" Zack asks.
"Where is Nibilehiem?" Link and Zelda ask.
"The snowy place with the mansion." is Zack's reply.
"Yes, that is where the hole is," Zelda states,"we should probably get home."
"Thank you for your assistance." Zelda saids.
"Bye, hope nothing else comes though." Zack saids.
"We hope so too," is Zelda's reply.
After Link and Zelda go back though the hole, they end up on the Surface and the hole disappears.
"I do hope we don't have to deal with that again."
"Me too, Zels, me too."
