East o' the Sun, West o' the Moon
Hear
It is Pippin, one of the North Wind sprites, who brings tales of the ethereal Moon Princess to the lonesome Sun Prince, and a new dream starts to bloom in Legolas's breast.
Smell
Arwen awakens to shades of pale moon and dark night, yet something from her dream lingers in the air...unfamiliar, fresh and warm; "Sunshine," she whispers, yearning tugging at the corners of her smile, and gazes out the window.
Sight
On Midsummer's Eve the Moon Princess visits Middle-Earth to bless the festival; in the middle of the celebration, she meets the gaze of a stranger - tall, blond, smile kind – and her heart skips a beat, whispers, It's him.
Touch
Arwen's hands fit perfectly in Legolas's, cool and soft, as they dance; reluctantly he loosens his hold when they are interrupted, but she squeezes his hands and says, "This is my partner."
Taste
Dawn is breaking when Legolas leans in until his lips meet Arwen's; the kiss is gentle, tasting a little bitter (of them being out of time) yet mostly sweet (of newfound requited love, of promises to see one another again).
THE END
