[Nagito Komeada]
*RING* *RING* I turned over and shut off my alarm. 'I have work in 45 minutes. I should probably get up.' I thought. I pulled the cover off my body and walked to my closet. I grabbed a short-sleeve button-up and some black jeans. I took off my original shirt and slide on my new one. I buttoned up the buttons and put on my new pants.
I walked to my newly painted bathroom and brushed out my hair. Once I was finished, I walked to my living room. I put on my socks and shoes. I grabbed my apron with my name on it, my keys, my mask, and with that, I was out. I drove quickly to work. I work at a cat cafe.
As I walked in, I saw Ishimaru. "Good Morning Taka," I said waving at him. He waved back.
"Good Morning Nagito," He replied. I walked where Ishimaru was standing. I put on my apron and began making myself an espresso. As I drank it, Ishimaru broke the silence.
"How was your morning?" Taka asked. "
It was okay, I mean. I barely made it to work on time." I said as I took a sip of my coffee.
"Did you sleep in?" Taka questioned.
"Yeah, I don't know why though. I slept perfectly at 8." I replied. He nodded. My favorite cat approached me.
"Oh, hello Mondo," I said, petting the cat, "oh taka!" I said picking up the cat. He looked up at me. "Why did you name this cat Mondo? You talk quite a lot about a different Mondo. Are they a person? A car? Your boyfriend?" I questioned. Taka seemed very flustered.
"Well, I named the cat Mondo because I have a boyfriend name Mondo and that cat reminds me of him. So, I went with the name Mondo." He replied, not looking away from "Mondo" the cat's gaze. I leaned onto the counter.
I chuckled. "I guessed it," I said.
"You did? How?" He asked. I put "Mondo" down and took a sip of my coffee.
"Well Taka, it just really easy to read you. To me anyway." I disclosed. He looked at me once again, very flustered. I broke our gaze and looked away. I drank the rest of my coffee and got off the counter.
"I'm going to go wash off this cup," I stated. He nodded and looked at the ground.
I walked to the sink and washed the cup. I heard the bell ding.
"Ishimaru! Someones there." I yelled. He went to the cashier.
"Ishi!" The voice hollered.
"Mondo?" he shrieked. I put the cup down and walked to the front.
"Oh, so your Mondo?" I interrupted. They were hugging. He nodded.
"And you are?" He said getting overprotective.
"I'm Nagito, one of Taka's coworkers," I said holding out my hand but pulled it back. "Do you wanna know something? Taka named at cat after you." I stated. Mondo blushed at looked at Taka who was covering his face. I went to a table and picked up "Mondo." I walked back to them and held the cat out. "This is Mondo. Taka named him." I chuckled.
"Did you name a cat after me?" He asked and Taka nodded. "Aww, bae that so cute! May I hold him?" Mondo asked. I nodded and Mondo held the cat. I walked back to the cashier cause I heard the bell. A young man with brown hair and a girl with pink hair walked up. I blushed because the guy with brown hair was really cute. I was hoping that the girl wasn't his girlfriend. But I just smiled.
"Hi, welcome to the cafe! How long with you be staying." I asked.
"An hour please." He said. I pushed the button.
"Anything to get you started?" I asked.
"Can I have a strawberry shortcake?" The girl asked. I nodded.
"Would like anything? You can get something to eat, drink, or maybe something for the cats. Just then Smokey came by my leg. While the boy thought, I picked up Smokey. She was a black and grey cat.
"I'll take a strawberry smoothie," he said. I put Smokey down.
"Will that be all?" I asked one more time. They both nodded. I pushed some buttons. "Okay, your total is $14.56," I said. He handed me a $20 bill. I put it in and gave him his change. "You may sit where ever you like, you drink and food will be out in a minute," I said. They both nodded and walked away.
I made his strawberry milkshake and grabbed a piece of strawberry shortcake. I walked to their table and sat it down.
"A strawberry shortcake for you and a strawberry milkshake for you." I walked away,
"Oh, Nagito!" He said. I looked back. "Umm, may I have your phone number? I think you're cute." He said blushing. 'I'm not cute, I'm ugly and worthless,' "Can I have your name first?" I asked.
"I'm Hajime Hinata." He stuttered. I blushed.
His name was so pretty. I grabbed my notepad and notes. I wrote down my phone number.
"Call me tonight!" I said before leaving. I walked to the back. I slid down the wall. 'I can't believe I did that with a straight face!' I screamed in my head. Just then Taka walked in.
"Hey what up?" Taka asked. He bent down. "You seem very flustered," Taka stated.
"I just gave my number out to this really cute boy and I did it with a straight face." I ranted. He hugged me.
"Hey, I'm proud of you! You finally found someone you like!" Taka proclaimed. "I'm surprised you did it with a straight face." Taka chuckled. I looked up at him. I started to cry.
"That's the first time someone was proud of me…" I stuttered. Taka hugged me again.
"Come on, you may have met a cute boy but we have customers." He uttered. He grabbed some tissues. He gave them to me. I wiped off my tears and we left. Taka has always been like a mother to me.
He always took care of me, always make sure I'm on time to work, and that I'm doing okay. He was almost like a therapist but better. My original therapist, I stopped going to because it just wasn't working. So I called Taka my therapist. It was just my luck I suppose. But, I wonder if he will help me with this relationship with Hajime?
Will he leave me to do it on my own? Will Hajime help me? But I can't worry too much, right? As we both made it to the front, I didn't see too many people but I did see that Hajime is was still there. I smiled and took the next person's order.
