Mistypaw's Quest

Summary

Two small cats were quietly patting through the bushes, one was a blue-gray furred molly and the other was a silver-blue furred molly. "Are you sure we should be doing this?" The silver-blue molly hissed in a low whisper to the blue-gray molly, who just rolled her eyes and continued on into the thicket of trees. She was on a mission to speak with a certain cat who she needed to see. The cat in question? The leader of ThunderClan, Bluestar.

Prologue

I raced through the trees as I leapt over fallen trees and branches. I had a destination to get to, and a certain cat who I needed to see. The cat in question? The leader of ThunderClan, Bluestar, I had this strange feeling that I should know the older blue-gray molly, but I couldn't figure it out.

"Mistypaw, wait! Are you sure this is a good idea? We are going to be in so much trouble if Crookedstar finds out about this." My best friend, a silver-blue molly, named Silverpaw, meowed, looking behind us nervously. I just sighed and rolled my eyes in response.

"Don't be such a scaredy-mouse Silverpaw!" I meowed, and Silverpaw gave an annoyed huff in response.

"I'm not a scaredy-mouse!" She retorted, lashing her tail and giving me a half-hearted glair. I just sighed softly and continued to the borders of ThunderClan.

"Now what do we do miss smarty-paws! How do you know that Bluestar even wants to see you?" Silverpaw meowed, staring at me with an unreadable expression. I hissed and glaired at her with narrowed icy blue eyes, my tail was lashing as I turned my back on Silverpaw.

"I know she will! Now c'mon, let's go Silverpaw!" I meowed sharply as I made my way through the fern tunnel. Two warriors were on their vigil when we entered into the ThunderClan camp.

"I am NEVER sneaking out of camp, especially with you little weasel again, you hear me Mistypaw?" Silverpaw hissed into my ear, as we came in sight of ThunderClan's camp. But before we could take another pawstep forward, we were stopped by two ThunderClan warriors.

"Hay! You two, what are you doing on ThunderClan territory?" A black she-cat hissed, her green eyes narrowing into slits as she flexed her claws, ready to fight if need be.

"We want to speak with Bluestar." I meowed, raising my head and staring directly at the black she-cat, who nodded, and lead the way to Bluestar's den. Surprisingly, the older blue-gray molly was awake and was quietly talking with two cats.

"Bluestar, sorry to interrupt but you have visitors." The black she-cat meowed, ducking her head to Bluestar, who simply nodded her head. My eyes landed on the two other cats, one was a ginger-furred tomcat with wide emerald green eyes, and the other cat was a pretty dark tortoiseshell molly with kind amber eyes.

"Thank you Nightflower." Bluestar meowed, nodding her head to the black she-cat who now had a name to match the face. Nightflower was a fitting name for her, it suited her well.

And when Bluestar's gaze finally landed on me and Silverpaw, I froze and my breath caught in my throat as I looked over at Silverpaw with wide icy blue eyes.

"Oh, I wasn't expecting to see two young RiverClan apprentices. What brings you here to ThunderClan?" Bluestar inquired, tilting her head to the side curiously and flicking her ears back and forth.

"Well... I-I umm... well you see I-" But I was cut off by Silverpaw, who spoke up for me.

"Well, you see Bluestar. The truth is that Mistypaw here came all this way because she has this strange idea that you're her mother." Silverpaw explained, staring at Bluestar, who just looked shocked and I glared at my friend.

"Well... Mistypaw isn't wrong." Bluestar meowed, looking up at me before instantly starring back down at her paws.

"W-what? B-but how?" Me and Silverpaw both exclaimed, and Bluestar sighed and took a deep breath to calm herself down.

"It's a long story, so you might want to sit down." Bluestar meowed, and me and Silverpaw glanced to one another before taking a seat beside the three cats.
