Dreams and Deceit
Chapter 1
Opening her bright sapphire colored eyes, the sunlight filled the room as she felt the throbbing pain from her head. As her eyes adjusted, she realized she was in a lavish western styled bedroom. She laid in a four poster bed with sheer curtains hanging, a vanity with mirror in the corner, bookshelves filled with books, scrolls and small sculptures, a nightstand next to her with a huge bouquet of red roses, a wide sized wardrobe closet, a love seat in front of the fireplace and double glass doors that lead to the outside. The room had a white interior with pink and golden colors. The furniture was white wood with matching carvings and golden details.
Still feeling pained, she sat up and fixed some pillows to help her sit up right. Touching her head, it was bandaged along with her right ankle and right wrist.
'Where am I?'
Hearing a knock on the door, she looked cautiously as it opened. "Pardon my intrusion. I wanted to check on you to see if you finally awoken." as a male walked closer "I am happy to see you finally awake. My god... you're sapphire eyes are so bright." as he watched her in awe.
"Who are you? How did I get here? What happened to me?" She asked confused.
"Do you not remember who I am? as he looked sadly at her.
Shaking her head no, tears were forming in her eyes.
"Do you know your name?" handing her his handkerchief.
Shaking her head no once more. 'I'm sorry I don't know." wiping away her tears.
"Don't apologize. It is not your fault. I found you badly injured. You've been unconscious for a couple days. I am happy you are awake…. Your name is Kagome. My name is Kagewaki Hitomi. I am the daimyo of these lands...and I am your husband."
"Master, are you sure this will work? She is confused and overwhelmed." Kagura asked nervously.
"My plan will work as long as everyone follows as I say." He smirked. "Go check on her and make sure she drinks the tea."
"Yes master." leaving quickly.
'I finally have you Kagome and soon those jewel shards will be mine!'
