This story was something I have been thinking about for a LONG time. After all, both worlds are based around the concept of heroes. One with Hero being more of a Title for anyone no matter if they are Noble or Villainous, and the other being more of a Job that people see more for the Fame and Fortune than a duty to help people. So I figured I'd make it with the Protagonist of the First Fable game being in the MHA world. So feel free to give me Ideas and keep the flaming to a minimum. Think of this more as a stepping point for others to look into Fable more and see what other stories could be made with the My Hero Academia universe and others.

Chapter 1

It was a sad day in the Midoriya household for the Mother and Son, as they had just gotten back from the Doctors. Where the boy received the worst news of his young life: he was Quirkless. One of the 20% of all humans now born into the world with no special powers. That was devastating to the young boy, who wanted nothing more than to be a Hero. To Protect and Save people in need. Just like All Might and Oakvale. Now he couldn't . . . Could he? No matter what he did now, he was nothing.

"That's Crazy!" "He's Laughing!" He heard as he watched his favorite Hero All Might in his Favorite video. All Might rescuing a hundred people from a raging inferno. What made little Izuku love the video and All Might so much was not his strength, but his never-ending smile that seemed to uplift his very soul whenever he saw it.

But this time it didn't, it couldn't touch how devastated he was now. So he looked to one of the other people in his life who might be able to help him.

"Mom . . . He's such a cool hero. . ." He slowly turned to his mother, shaking like a leaf with tears streaming down his face as he asked her: "Can I . . . be a Hero, too?" He asked her, wanting more than anything for her to say: 'Yes! Yes, you can be a Hero!'

Inko was heartbroken seeing her son trying to keep some measure of hope, hope that his dream would not die just because he was told he had no Quirk. She could not find the words, anything to keep encouraging him without him being endangering himself. Maybe even getting himself killed. "It's all my fault!" Inko thought, "If he had even inherited my Quirk, he would've used it to be a Hero!"

"Look at them go!" Came the voice from the monitor, the video having switched from All Might to Izuku's other Idol: Oakvale.

His body was covered in what looked like ancient heavy silver armor with gold inlays, save for his head which he covered in a black hood lined with red trim around his face. Which was barely visible from his aura of pure light that obscured his face from view. What could be seen were his glowing blue eyes and the many glowing blue tattoos that adorned his face, like that which were seen when he wore other costumes with more of his skin visible. But what truly captured one's attention was the two massive wings that stood behind him, both pure white with similar glowing blue markings upon them, and the golden Halo that hovered above his head. Giving him the appearance of an angel that had descended from the heavens to do battle with another figure.

His complete opposite in black plate that hugged his body, what appeared to be a baggy red shirt with belts on his arms holding it tight, and a tattered red cloak that went over his armor and head with a red hood. His face was covered in a white mask with many chips and cracks along the surface, the sides near what would be the mouth were three bits of white rope on the right side and two on the left going over the largest chips. The eyes and right side of the chin were decorated with whirling patterns of purple and red, some of which were covered under the hood. The only thing to be seen under the mask was his eye; Red and glowing with strange energy pouring off of them as they clashed again and again.

But the true similarity between them was in their blades. With both swords of equal length and splitting down the center down that stopped near the hilts, the cross guards ending in large ovals and the pommels narrowing down into the grips. With Oakvale's sword, the rain guard is large and blue near the blade, with the crossguard being smaller and stuck straight out. The grip was blue with small silver studs that line the grip to the silver pommel.

With his enemy's blade it rain guard was red and smaller than the blade itself with the crossguard curving back towards the grip more, what looked like golden spikes on the rain guard pointing towards the grip. The hilt was also red with gold studs and a golden pommel.

Then there was the same symbol. The shape was strange, looking like a mix of an hourglass and infinity. A large curved 'top' and 'bottom' piece connected in the center by a straight line as another line curved towards the center of the straight line from the opposite sides. The symbol is on both sides of the blades as the swords were held in one hand by their wielders.

The blades, their armor, and their glowing eyes gave an image of an angel and demon battling each other in the very streets. Each clash of their blades sent shockwaves that ripped through the streets. Knocking buildings to little more than flying bricks sent miles away with bits of asphalt with them. Both of them, not backing down as other Heroes were forced to remain back and try to keep the damage to a minimum. Even All Might was keeping his distance and covered his face as their hands charged with different elements.

Both of them clashing with Fire and Wind, Lightning and Ice, both of them teleporting around or dashing at insane speeds, growing in size and stature in seconds, summoning many ethereal swords that hovered around them and clashed with them. The many abilities the two displayed had caused a storm to form over the city, only for clashing of their blades splitting the clouds in all directions before reforming again as lightning arches across the sky.

It wasn't until Oakvale plunged his blade into the Black Armored enemy that it ended. The man in black and red exploded and disappeared, the only remnants being his mask and hood. Both of which then shot out and away from the city. Oakvale was left panting and bleeding as he fell to his knee. The heroes moved in around him as they took him into custody without resistance. For this was his first appearance, him and the man in black and red. That was five years ago now, five years since the two of them appeared in the middle of Esuha City fighting each other, and the last time the man in black and red was spotted at that same time. Since that time Oakvale, as he became known as, had made a name for himself as a Hero in the world. Going to any nation that needed aid and fighting all villains he could. But lately, he seemed to have settled more in Japan, the USA, and Great Britain.

The fight was always amazing to Izuku who wanted to understand the Quirk of the mysterious Hero who appeared from the middle of the city and tore through it with the other man. Both of them destroyed many of the buildings and roadways as they fought. Swatting away many who tried to interfere until the end of their bout. There were so many questions to him: Who he was as no one heard of him before that moment? Why did he appear out of nowhere? But the most important question Izuku wanted to ask: what is his Quirk? Seeing so many abilities set the mind of many ablaze with these questions.

Hearing the video had drawn Izuku's attention away as he looked back for a moment. Just long enough for the sound of the front door opening and closing again to be heard by the mother and son. "Inko-Chan! Izu-Kun! I'm home!" Came the voice of his father.

"Shay! I wasn't expecting you home so soon!" Inko said as he came around the corner and spotted the two. His hair is fairly long as it reached his shoulders and was fairly wild, having the same curls as his son. Save for the color is a dark brown or black rather than green. Shay himself was rather tall as Inko's head came up to his shoulders.

The moment Shay entered the room that there was something wrong. His wife looked downtrodden and his son's eyes were spilling over with tears. He did not need to ask them why. He knew Izuku had looked forward to unlocking a Quirk all his own. Wanting nothing more than to be a Hero! So Shay simply began to walk towards his son, Inko watched him as he kneeled down beside their child. "So that's what the doctor said?" That was all he asked. Getting the nod he had expected.

Shay didn't say anything else, simply giving his son a hug and letting him cry into his shirt as they held each other tightly. "D-Dad! Even if I don't have a Quirk . . . Can I . . . be a Hero, too?!" Izuku asked the question once more. His father pulled away and looked Izuku in the eyes as he patted his green hair.

"Do you remember all those stories I told you when you were three years old? Of Thunder, Scarlet Robe, and William Black?" Shay asked him, getting another smaller nod from Izuku. "Then tell me, do you remember what you'd always ask me when I finished one of their stories?"

Izuku looked confused at first, but still remembered what he'd say: "Teach me to be a Hero!" He said. Even now he still held some hope that there might have been something he could do to be a Hero.

"Then I will teach you, not as the Heroes you know would understand with their Quirks," Shay said, releasing his son from the hug and standing before him. "But as a Hero of Strength, Skill, and Will. As I am." He said before a blinding flash filled Izuku's and Inko's eyes. Moments later now standing before Izuku, in the very place his father stood, was Oakvale in all his splendor. Armor polished to a shine, ethereal wings outstretched behind his back, tattoos glowing brightly, and the blue blade on his back. "I will teach you to be a Hero, my son."

Izuku dropped to the floor, stunned that one of the Heroes he idolized all his life now stood before him. But even more stunning was the revelation that the Hero Oakvale, the hero of unknown power and the Number 2 Hero, was none other than his own father. His father agreed to train him to be a hero like him. "But know this, my son. If you wish to be a Hero, then I will take everything you have. Your body, your mind, your very soul. I will take it all and turn you into a Hero. But if you falter, if you do not give me your all and push beyond your limits, then I will end your training. Then you will not be a hero." Shay/Oakvale said to Izuku. Inko was about to run up to Shay and tell him not to crush their sons after building them up or to not even take him under his wing. But he held up his hand and stopped her. Still looking at their son who still stared at his father.

Inko did not know what to feel now, for so long they had kept it a secret from Izuku, for so long they had let their son believe Shay was a normal person. Now Shay just drops the truth on Izuku that his father is one of the top Heroes, and giving him hope again to be a hero like him. Even if the doctor said he would not have a Quirk. The very line of work her son wanted to become was the very same that she was afraid she'd lose her husband every day he went across the world and battled with villains. The idea her son would still enter the same life was a frightening thought: what if he was killed by a villain? Or tortured? Or seriously hurt? Those ideas plagued her mind.

"Please, dad! TEACH ME TO BE A HERO!" She heard Izuku cry and drop onto his hands and knees. Only to be caught by Shay and pulled into another hug. It may not be a safe life her son wanted. But it was what he wanted, more than anything in this world. So if it meant he would still smile, then no matter what she'd still be there for them both.

"And so I shall. First thing in the morning we will go and begin your training." Shay said, slowly releasing the hug. "So get some rest, you will need it." With that Izuku smiled brightly and whipped his eyes.
