I don't own a lot! Just Ivy. I haven't watched any Spiderman movies for a long time, so sorry if some characters are OOC. I'll try to fix them later, I'll just need a reminder. Also, OC's are welcome. I don't really know what I'll do with them, but I'll probably save them for other writing. Add as many details as you can! Also, I need 5 reviews to keep on going.
Ivy POV
I could hardly swallow down the huge lump in my throat.
My heart was swelling and my head was spinning. I felt like I should collapse on my knees and sob. Sob, and stay there.
They were gone. The stones. Gone.
Everything I and the Avengers had worked so hard for, gone. Stolen. From right underneath our noses. No one could help me now. My gloves were sweaty and started to stick to my hands, now buzzing with the purple energy that lay underneath. I had just gotten everything back.
"Take a pill," Wanda warned. Red energy started to bubble in her hands. Her accent was thick and heavy. I felt like spitting at her, but I bit my tongue. "No."
"New day!" My mother shouts. The blank excitement I feel bubbles up in my chest. I feel electricity buzzing up in my hands. Today is my first day at Mid-Town Highschool, Queens. I moan groggily, then reluctantly hop out of bed. Tired, as always.
New school. New city. New state. New friends.
My Mom and I moved here from Washington. It's all new to me; this apartment and stuff.
I make my way to the mirror and look at my reflection. Some people have called me gorgeous. But I just call myself plain normal. Wavy strawberry-blonde hair flowing down to my waist, emerald green eyes, very pale skin. Just plain old Ivy Charlotte Kirk. Just me.
I grab a hairbrush and proceed to comb the strawberry-blonde hair that falls down to my waist. Then, I head to the bathroom and brush my teeth.
I walk to my closet, sorting through my clothing. I finally pick out jeans and a black t-shirt. It makes my skin, if possible, look paler. I put both my socks on then my black converses. I opened the door, grabbed my phone ad checked the time.
7:45.
I walk to school, and it starts at 8:10.
I scan the blank kitchen, looking for Mom. She must be in the living room. Well, there's not really a sofa in there. She's proabaly looking at her computer watching one of those hospital dramas she loves.
"Shit," I curse my voice a bit high-pitched. But that's just my normal voice. Not too high-pitched though. Do you know how a blonde girl with curly hair and bubble gum would sound like? A child? Like Victoria in Twilight? (Which I hate.) Like that. I'm kinda ashamed. But that's nothing to worry about. Not really.
"Bye Mom!" I shout. I grab my stuff and head out the door. "Love you!" I hear her shout, faintly. "Love you too! Make sure to-" but I don't get to hear her. I'm already running down the cold street, the pavement disappearing behind me.
I walk into the high school hallway. People are everywhere. Everywhere. I can see some boys looking at me, stealing glances while I pretend not to notice them. I look down at the map the school gave me. My first period: Science.
I finally make my way to the Science room, where I can hardly stand the long period.
I do a couple more periods, then it's lunch.
I walk to the cafeteria and grab my money. Then I wait patiently in line. Suddenly, someone hops in front of me. "Well, that's rude," I comment. The guy turns around, confused. I can't help but notice how attractive he is; slightly curly hair slicked backed a little. A not-very-muscular-but-still-muscular body. Brown eyes. "Sorry," he says. "Who are you. You're so short I didn't even notice you." He raises his eyebrows. "Ivy." I frown. "Peter." He extends a hand. I shake it. "Well, can I have my spot back?" I ask, my arms crossed. "Yeah, sure." He lets me go forward in line.
Peter POV
"Who's that girl? She's gorgeous. You don't stand a chance. You're like an Ogre. She's like a princess." Ned says, really helping my self-esteem. "Well, it worked out in Shrek," I say. "Peter, I swear, no more pop culture references..." Ned starts. I purse my lips.
"If an Alien comes and plants eggs in my chest, I just want to say, sorry."
"I swear, one more pop culture reference out of this trip kid and..."
"I'm trying to say something's coming."
The memory hit me hard and vividly, resurfacing like a wave might on the beach. "It's fine," I say. Ned nods. "Anyways, what's her name?" Ned asks. "Ivy," I answer. "Pretty name." Ned comments. "Yeah," I reply. Ned nods again. Ivy just picked up a soda, and only a soda, I can't help but notice.
She looks around and finds an empty table to sit by herself at.
She opens her soda and takes a sip.
Then I notice something.
A sparkle of purple electricity racing up her hand. She wipes it off on her jeans. Then, she looks around and sees me staring. She knows I saw it. And now, she's worried. "Dude, did you see that?" Ned asks. I nod stiffly, hardly noticing the chatter of students around me.
She leaves her undrunk soda on the table and gracefully runs out of the room, looking behind her once or twice.
All's I know, is that I need to tell an Avenger. And fast.
But what's left?
