A/N: Jelsa prompt for the Jelsa Haven Discord One Year Anniversary Event! A little summer vacation oneshot to brighten your day, coming right up!

This was a collab with my amazing friends Dream, Etsy, and Mary. Props to them for making wonderful pieces. (tears of joy) Thank you Jelsa for all the love you've given and brought me! 3

"So, you ready, sugarcup?"

Elsa rolled her eyes. "What is that, the one thousandth nickname you have for me?"

Jack clutched his chest, feigning shock. "Only a thousand? Well, that's insulting. I'm definitely at least at a million, honey drop."

She laughed and beamed at him. "Nah-ah, you already used that one yesterday."

He laughed, putting a hand on her shoulder and getting out of the car. They gazed out at their destination before them, the endless sea stretching on for miles ahead and the sandy floor sparkling and glistening with sunlight. "Sounds like someone's been keeping track," he said, nudging her.

She smirked at him. "Hard not to when you remind me of them every single second."

Jack was about to retort with another flirtatious reply, but suddenly he jumped 2 feet into the air. "Okay, this sand is hot!" His mouth twisted into a half grimace as he hopped up and down on his tiptoes.

That earned him a chuckle from his girlfriend. "Well, it is the beach, Jack. What did you expect?"

All he could manage to do was shrug, his haphazard dancing akin to that of a hyper Bruni after eating chocolate. "Whydomyfeetfeellikethey'reonfire," he mumbled.

"You look like Bunny," she said, giggling, but then wiped a hand across her forehead as she stepped forward. "But yes, this isn't anything like the weather we get back home. I always underestimate the… ah… heat."

The sun's invisible, penetrating lasers descended on them as they walked, sending jolts of flame riveting down their spines and alighting their normally-ice-tuned bodies with fire. So it was the case that their shirts were already clinging to their backs and their brows were drenched long before they reached the water.

Finally, when they'd set up camp a few yards from the water's ephemeral rendez-vous point with the sand, they collapsed in their chairs. "I swear it's hotter this year than it was last summer," Jack said, panting.

"Oh, it's not that… bad." Elsa winced, feeling equally exhausted but not wanting to show it.

Soon, however, he got up and beckoned with his arm. "Well, one way to fix that." He pointed at the rushing water and smiled. "Join me?"

She smiled and tipped her hat at him. "Why, I thought you'd never ask."

Laughing, the pair ran down the beach to the white-blue sea, their exhaustion from the heat melting in the face of youthful love. Shells and rocks littered the sandy ground as they raced down, dotting the landscape with little pinpricks of white, grey, and amber.

Jack charged straight ahead into the oceanic foam without hesitation. He turned to her, chest drenched, body dripping with droplets of water, and his silver hair wet only at the tips of his locks. The water was already up to his waist. He rolled his eyes when he saw she was barely in up to her ankles.

"Come on!" he said to her, a grin plastered to his face.

Elsa laughed nervously from her spot, which was a bit farther up on the damp sand. "I am!" She gestured to her foot to make her point. "I'm just taking it slow."

He put his hands on his hips. "Look, Els, are you gonna make me come get you?"

Her eyes widened, and a crimson blush flew across her cheeks. "No, no, I've got it," she reassured him, though a small part of her hoped he'd do it anyway.

He chuckled, then walked forward.

10 seconds later she was in the water.

"Jack!" she shouted, laughing. "You didn't have to pick me up!"

He bopped her on the head. "How else were you gonna get in, silly?"

The waves lapped at their sides as Elsa splashed him with a handful of water. Covering his face with his hands, he retaliated and returned the favor, spraying her with the rippling currents. She yelped and a battle broke out.

After they'd both received enough hits to drown a fish, Elsa folded her arms. "You're lucky Nokk's magic isn't as strong this far south. You'd be no match."

His eyes widened as he laughed. "That's probably a good thing. Clearly, I've got my hands full at the moment."

"Because you can't handle me?" she replied, raising an eyebrow.

He had an answer ready. "Well, I don't know about that. Why don't you look at how wet you are and tell me?"

She scoffed, adjusting her blue swimwear and dropping her gaze. "What are you talking about? We're both-"

"Got you." She only saw his wink in her peripheral vision, but she realized what was coming a split second too late. A wall of water exploded on her head, thrown by Jack when she'd dropped her guard.

Shaking her head to lose most of the drops, she playfully narrowed her eyes at him, realizing his play. "Okay. NOT fair."

He threw up a casual shrug, then bent over laughing. "Why? You looked."

Rolling her eyes, she lunged forward and tackled him, knocking them both down into the turquoise foam. For a moment, they spun underwater, laughing but also receiving a mouthful of salty bubbles every time they opened their mouths, prompting the other person to crack up and repeat the cycle. Somewhere amidst the thrashing, though, their battle turned into a hug as both Jack and Elsa softened and embraced each other, making both feel warm inside despite the chilliness of the water.

So by the time they broke the surface, emerging from the ocean's currents, they were locked in a tight hug rather than a fighting stance. Elsa found her arms wrapped around Jack's neck as both partners breathed in the precious, familiar scent of their lover, mixed in with tingles of the breezy, salty air.

"Love you, snowflake," Jack whispered into her hair, making her giggle.

"Love you too, snowflick," she replied. His body shook against hers as he chuckled at the nickname.

"Snowflake and snowflick, huh?" he said, smiling. "A dynamic duo for the ages."

"Watch out everyone!" she chimed in.

Grunting in effort, Jack spun and twirled Elsa in the air. In the process, her bun, which she'd tied back a few minutes ago, came loose, spilling out her silver locks in a dreamy cacophony of brilliant light and beauty. While airborne, she swished her face to get the water out of her eyes, making her hair ripple back and forth in graceful suspension. The sun shone behind her as she spun, illuminating every fiber and thread of her body.

Holy-

Understandably, Jack was completely taken aback by the sight. He exhaled sharply, and for a moment he forgot how to breathe. As he pulled Elsa back into his arms, he looked up at the sky in an attempt to hide the massive blush creeping across his cheeks.

Damn. Elsa was hot.

"Everything okay?" she said, tilting her head up at him.

He blinked. Once, twice, thrice. "Yeah. I'm fine." He flashed her a wink. "And so are you."

Both of them stood there, focusing totally and only on their lover, letting the cool afternoon breeze blow through their hair, relishing in the passionate magic that romance offered.

Then Elsa looked past his shoulder and froze.

Jack whipped around. "What? What is it?"

"I, um, I saw a shark fin out there."

His protective-boyfriend side taking over, Jack put his body in between her and the water, scanning the horizon for any signs of the gray fish. He turned back to his girlfriend and observed her scared expression for a moment. "Here, let's get out."

Quickly, they climbed out from the sea and walked back up the shore to their stuff.

"You okay?" He gently draped an arm over her shoulder, sweeping off the sand from her chair so she could sit down.

She cringed slightly, then nodded. "Sorry, it's…" Her eyes met his. "Well, you remember Sir Jorgen Bjorgen?"

He nodded. "Sure. Your penguin guardian angel."

Elsa smiled. "One night, long ago, my father told me a story of these big fish he'd seen overseas. Sharks, he'd called them. Sir Jorgen Bjorgen, Anna, and I had gotten so scared." A chuckle escaped her lips now, thinking back on the memory of the three of them huddling under the covers. "But we were scared together. And that made it less scary." She squinted back out at the ocean. "It reminded me of that. Just now."

Jack reclined in his chair and grabbed a water bottle. "I say again: Jorgy Bjorgy's a legend. No shark stands a chance against him."

She mussed his hair, teasing him. "Good thing I have you to act as shark bait. They go for you, and I can swim away."

He made finger-gun signs at her "Nice one. But I heard that sharks especially like Elsa-flavored treats."

She failed to suppress her giggle. "Oh yeah? Where'd you hear that? The Jack-Frost-Book-of-

Lies?"

He spit out his water, laughing. "Excuse me? I'll have you know, that book is quite trustworthy."

She raised her eyebrow. "Uh huh. Definitely not by Arendellian standards."

Jack looked to his left, spying an ice cream stand not too far from them. "You know what else it says?" He paused for dramatic effect. "It says, 'Ice cream tastes delicious.'"

Her platinum-blonde hair swayed gently. "Now that is true."

He took out his wallet and smirked at her. "Want to help me prove it?"

She grinned. "Purely scientific purposes, of course."

"Oh, of course. Nothing to do with taste." He stared out into the horizon and pretended to smolder, lowering his head slightly to achieve that dark brooding effect. "The sacrifices we make for science."

Elsa just rolled her eyes and laughed.

"Careful there, Els, you're dripping."

Her eyes widened for a moment, but she managed to catch her ice cream before it slid off. Well, not exactly "catch" it. Her hand shifted slightly as small tendrils of frost shot out and solidified around her mint-chocolate dessert. Just in time.

Being able to refreeze one's ice cream definitely had its perks.

"Enjoying yourself?" Jack asked from beside her. He lazily stretched out his arms behind him and yawned, lounging against his chair with a content look on his face.

"Ice cream on a hot day is hard to beat," she replied. Smiling to herself, she closed her eyes, tilted her chin up, and breathed a deep sigh, simply relaxing in the moment. Ice cream in her hand, warm sun in the sky, Jack throwing his stupidly cute jokes… it was all she could ever ask for.

She watched the sealine in front of them, watched its trance-like pattern of chasing and receding, watched the gleam of its pearl-blue surface reflect in the azure ink blots of the sky. Seagulls chirped overhead, cawing loudly and making their presence known. The sounds of waves, crashing upon the sand in great barrages of strength, reached her ears. The tiny reverberations in the ground of Jack's body next to her as he moved.

Peacefully, Elsa bent down and picked up a small shell, examining its intricate design of unbroken ridges, and somewhere in her mind she was consciously in awe of the shell's origins, having been battered by the elements for decades and only resting in her fingertips as a result of nature's complicated forces.

Who knew what magic was at work here?

"Hey Jack, what are you thinking about right now?" she said, turning to her boyfriend.

He winked at her. "Smart people stuff. Why?"

She smiled. "Do you ever wonder why things in the universe are the way they are? I just… I don't know how in Ahtohallan we ended up with each other. How I got so lucky."

He lowered his shades with two fingers and gently propped himself up on one elbow, turning to face her. "Who are you, Olaf?" His trademark smirk caught the glare of the sun as he shifted. "Us being with each other? I could say it's fate. But I don't think so. I think…" His silver hair blew in the breeze. "I think our spirits just sought each other out."

She nodded, unable to muster the words she knew she wanted to say.

"But hey," he added, pulling her into a tight hug and patting her back, "Don't worry about it. We're here, together, and right now that's all that matters. You and me, here." His eyes sparkled as he kissed her forehead, and his next words sent butterflies leaping through Elsa's chest, making her heart throb with a melody of the purest passion.

"Who needs the universe when I've got you?"
