"This is bullshit. Fucking laws making me go through this shit!"

Pissed off, Gajeel kicked at a wall in a random alleyway where he secluded himself from the town.

"Grrah! This is a waste of my fucking time!" His scent soured as he kicked over a trashcan.

Clenching his fists he bitterly whispered to the shadows.

"Tch… no one's gonna wanna be stuck with a lowlife like me…"

Gajeel stood silent in that dark alley; turning to leave his eye caught some iron scraps that fell out of the trash.

"Gihi." A devilish smirk appeared on his face.

"Might as well have a snack before checking in."

Grabbing his scraps he jumped up to a nearby roof and munched on his metal as he watched the town.

Finishing his treat Gajeel quietly watched as dusk settled in over the town, the sound of the town center's fountain calming him.

His metal being long gone, he stood to leave when something caught his attention.

"Once again, I'm declining your offer. I really must be going."

His ears picked up the annoyance in the woman's voice.

Taking in the scene he looked toward the entrance of the alleyway. There stood a man, probably an Alpha given his size, he had short brown hair that was slicked back with what seemed like an entire jar of hair gel. He was leaning over a young woman that he couldn't see besides the wisps of sky blue hair. Still he could tell by the way her hair jolted around that the poor woman was fidgeting over the unwanted attention from the Alpha.

"Just great, probably another Omega on the verge of being taken unwillingly." Gajeel thought as he watched the scene unfold.

Gajeel narrowed his eyes as he thought about what he should do.

"Well this is just peachy." Levy thought as she took yet another step back to put some distance between herself and the pushy Alpha.

"Come on little Omega, let me take you to dinner. I know this nice little restaurant where we can be alone and… get to know one another~" The Alpha said with a wolfish grin.

"How did I of all people manage to catch this guys attention?! I've only just arrived to this town." Levy thought to herself as she rolled her eyes.

"S-sorry but I really don't have the time for this. I need to go check in-"

"AH! So you're here for the Hunt? That's great. I'm participating too~" The man gave Levy a sickening smile as her leaned closer to her.

"Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to step back-" Levy started to say as her patience ran thin with the pushy Alpha.

"Sir?! No need to be so formal, you should just call me… Alpha~" The sleazebag started to move closer to the woman and began to reach out to touch her.

Gajeel tensed not liking where this was going. Readying himself to jump, he made the decision to beat the shit out of that guy, but… someone beat him to it.

Suddenly the Alpha was hit with a burst of flame and was howling in pain at the feet of the young woman.

Dumbfounded, Gajeel stilled as he took in the sight of the woman. He could tell that she was short, very short. Wild, wavy blue hair bounced against her headband as she moved to crouch down to the man who was pestering her.

"Hmph. Maybe next time you'll learn that when an Omega says no. It means NO!" Levy huffed angrily as her scent turned spicy in anger.

"Gihi~ so she's a mage." Gajeel looked said with an amused smirk.

The wounded Alpha screeched as he held his face in pain.

"Hmmm. Looks like that stings. Here. Let me help you with that~" Levy smirked as she swiped her right arm in the air. A second later the bewildered Alpha was thrown into the air and landed straight into the fountain.

Dripping wet and red faced (from both his light burns and embarrassment), he took off running as he noticed a crowd starting to gather and laughing at him.

As he entered the alley he shouted, "You fucking bitch!" and disappeared.

Gajeel watched as the pitiful excuse for an Alpha ran off, but his attention went back to the small Omega as he heard her sigh heavily.

"Haaaaaa~ Well things couldn't possibly get worse from here. Now I better hurry."

His eyes trailed over her form as she stood up. Her hair was barely held back by a black headband, she wore a simple white shirt that revealed her small chest size. She could almost be mistaken for a teenager but as Gajeel's eyes traveled downwards he could see why she got so much attention from that sleaze. She wore denim shorts that left little to the imagination as it hugged her form tightly.

Gajeel gulped as stared at her.

"Shorty's might not have anything going on upstairs but damn if she ain't got an ass to flaunt." Gajeel thought lecherously.

He watched as she started to walk away and his eyes finished taking her in as he looked down her creamy toned legs that lead to her simple black boots.

"Gihi, bet she wears those to look taller." Gajeel chuckled as her form started to disappear into the crowd.

"Tch. I need to hurry up and fucking check in to start this nightmare." Gajeel rolled his eyes as he turned in the opposite direction.

Later that night

Levy walked into an inn where she approached a clerk to finally get checked in.

"Welcome! May I have your name and status please?"

"Levy McGarden, Omega."

The Omega smiled as she searched through her list.

"McGarden… McGarden… Hmmm. Oh! Here we are. I see that this is your first time participating?"

"Y-yes, well I'm 25 now so I didn't have much of a choice anymore heh heh." Levy said softly as she stared at her hands.

"Ah. I see… Well I wish you the best. And please try not to worry too much. The law is strict but it's also fair. Your safety and happiness is our first priority."

Blinking back a few tears, Levy looked up and gave a small smile to the clerk.

"Thank you, that means a lot."

The clerk gently smiled at the young woman and handed her a packet and a room key.

"Here you go. The packet contains all the rules and itinerary. The cafeteria is open until 9pm so please feel free to take your time adjusting to your room. Whatever luggage you sent ahead should be there waiting for you."

"Thanks."

At another inn

Gajeel stomped into his designated building and went up to the clerk with a scowl on his face.

The Alpha clerk seemed a bit off-put by the Alpha's behavior but kept his composure as best he could.

"W-welcome Sir. May I have your name and status please?"

"Tch. The name's Gajeel Redfox, and I'm fucking obviously an Alpha." Gajeel spat out as he glared at the innocent clerk.

"V-very good Sir! L-let me just check you in…"

The clerk hurriedly handed Gajeel his packet and room key.

"I-if you're hungry the kitchen is open until 9pm… you're all s-set."

Gajeel snatched his items and stalked off to his room.

The clerk watched as the man left and sighed, relieved from the intense situation he was in.

"Now that was one scary Alpha…"
