"Well you be able to make it there ok?" Asks 6689, it seems my words carried further than intended and now the whole room was looking at me with worry while I do my best to ignore the words and numbers floating above them.

"Yes I think so I think it's just an optics issue." I reply see several of my brothers nod in understanding.

"Ok we'll cover for you until you get back." Said 6788 with his own nod while several others gave there agreement and then return to their earlier actions preparing for work.

As everyone began leaving for work I head for the medbay and try my best not to irritate the insecticons roaming the hall...bothersome wretches that they are they would still be able to rip me to pieces with little struggle should a fight happen.

Finally after what seemed to be hours wondering the needlessly dark hall I reach the medbay.

Knockout is...polishing his paint job...again.

"Knockback." I say causing the medic to a startled yell in shock as he almost dropped his polisher.

"What, what do you want?" He nearly growls back as he regains his composure and put the polisher down.

"I think there is something wrong with my optics, I am seeing things." I reply causing him to turn and face me with a raised eyebrow.

Knockout paused to think for a moment before he spoke again "what sort of things are you 'seeing'?" He made sure to emphasize seeing as he said it even going so far as to use the human gesture of air quotes.

"Words mostly, talking about my frame and t-cog." I say seriously causing the doctor to look at me a bit differently .

"Well that sounds odd may as well give you a good once over then." he said before he gestured to the operating table.

As I lay down Knockout begins typing away at the computer causing a device to lower and a blue light began going over me slowly from head to toe.

As it passed my t-cog I heard Knockout gasp in shock but I didn't move as the scan was still in progress and I had learned my lesson the first time I tried to move during a scan.

As the scan reached my pelvis a confused grunt left Knockout's mouth and then he spoke "remain here...I will be back soon."

I can only watch as he leaves the room in a rush.

He was a freak, an aberration of the usual clones, his t-cog had somehow developed or evolved into something new and his pelvis had developed odd mechanisms and internal structures along with a variety of new sensors scattered throughout his frame.

It was definitely something shockwave and potentially megatron would be interested in hearing but he would leave that decision to shockwave, best to avoid interrupting megatron.

Looking around the medbay is interesting especially so because during the brief time the the good doctor was gone I have apparently gained a new 'skill'.

The thing that scanned me is called a high grade cybertronian layer and mechanism scanner and it does exactly what it says.

Ah...the good doctor has returned I guess my mental catalog has to wait...why has he brought shockwave?

As I scramble to my feet to properly salute i can't help but flinch as his sole red eye, so different from my own, zeros in on me and I get the feeling that he is dissecting me in his head.

Before anyon else can do anything shockwave points to me and speaks "Is this the subject?"

Knockout nods quickly clearly uncomfortable in the larger bots presence, not that I can judge.

Shockwave then spoke again "what is your designation number?"

Realizing that he was talking to me I snap to and reply "my designation is 6969 sir."

Shockwave is still for a moment too long causing anxiety to climb up my back before he speaks again "understood designation 6969 you are to accompany me to the lab for in-depth testing of your anomalous characteristics, your cooperation is not required."

That implication...did not bode well for me so as he turned to leave i silently followed ignoring the quite sigh of relief from Knockout.
