Chapter 1: Vacuo's own Arc

"You mustn't trust those in Vacuo Jaune... They are like snakes and can be turned... Those in Vacuo will lie, cheat, and steal just to live... trust no one son, trust no one or else you'll find a knife in your back or stranded by those who you called friends"
Those will be the last words that his father had told him when he had learned he would be attending Beacon Academy, thankfully, Jaune wasn't going in there unprepared, His father, being the smart man, informed Jaune about the Basics of Aura and Semblances and unlocked his, which, thankfully he wasn't completely helpless in that regard, and his father taught him to at least carry a sword and shield so he wasn't going to be completely useless in combat.
However there was another problem, You see, since most of the team were filled, Jaune had the opportunity to become an Operator, a solo Huntsmen who can work any job alone or even help other teams, Jaune accepted since he wasn't going to say no to become a huntsman. However, the Headmistress of Shade Academy, a Woman named Celo Olympias had asked him to perform a task in order to let him in...
Jaune shook his head as he did not wish to remember the task and the blonde now walked the steps of shade academy. He looked to the Huntsment school of Vacuo. The school itself was a large castle made of large sandstone bricks and it had four walls around it with four large watchtowers and on each watchtower was a purple flag with Vacuo's sigil on it with the three swords being orange in color. He also saw that there was a small garden inside the school with crystal blue water and some plants around it that made the sight very beautiful. He also saw the Docks for Vacuo's Bennu, Vacou's own means of transportation via sky. Next to the school was a small coliseum which he assumed was for combat class and Grimm Studies.
As he walked to the front doors of the school which were colored in a beautiful orange and had small wooden designs painted a golden color, by the doors was a girl who had pale skin with brown eyes and black hair, with a braid wrapping around the back of her hair and drill curls at the ends of her har near her shoulders. Her outfit consists of a black, gray, and lavender dress with armor plates on the side that holds her throwing knives. She also wears light gray stockings with pale gray ballet flats
As soon as she saw him, she began to walk his way and Jaune stopped as the good got closer and eventually stood in front of him
"Are you Jaune Arc?" She asked him
"Yeah... That's me" Jaune replied, with a small smile
"Follow me to the Headmistress office, she would like to see you before you get settled in," she told him
she began to walk and Jaune followed her. After a minute of walking, Jaune looked at her and decided to try and start up a conversation.
"what's your name?" He asked her
"Gwen Darcy" The Girl, Gwen introduced "I'm a member of Team NDGO," she said with a smile
"It's nice to meet you, Gwen," he told her "So, how far are we from the headmistress office?"
"Not far, we just need to take the Elevator," she told him and he nodded.
Gwen looked at the boy, so far he hadn't tried to flirt with her or try anything at least, which was a plus. Being one of the hottest girls in the first-year classes and being on what many considered the Hottest team of the year, she attracted a lot of attention from the opposite sex, which annoyed her when so many boys tried to get into her pants, thankfully she managed to tell them no and even playfully threatened them with a knife to the crotch when they tried to get too close. Gwen was just relieved that the guy wasn't hitting on her right way, however, when she looked at him again and got a closer looked at his eyes, she noticed he looked very...Tired. Like not in a sleepy way but like he was tired of everything sorta way.
Finally, they reached the elevator and Gwen pressed a button and the machine took them to their destination, eventually, the elevator stopped and the two got off and walked down a hall and they now stood in front of Headmistresses Office. Jaune took a deep breath and then walked in with Gwen following him. When they entered there were two teams in the room as well, one with three boys and one girl and one with three girls.
When Gwen saw this she looked at the three-girl team
"What are you guys doing here?" She asked them
"Headmistress Olympias called us here as well as them," replied a blonde girl.
"So this is the new guy?" asked a dark-skinned boy from the other team.
"I'm Jaune Arc" Jaune introduced himself
Then, another dark-skinned kid, who Jaune knew well from his old town, walked up to Jaune and gave him a hug with a huge smile and Jaune did the same. The hug broke and the two teens looked at each other.
"it's good to see you Jaune," he said
"It's Good to see you to Brawnz" Jaune told him the same "It's been too Long" Jaune said with a smile
"It has," Brawnz said "Imagine my surprise when I heard you were coming, I didn't think I'd see you so soon thought"
"Neither did I" Jaune replied
Brawnz Ni, the leader of Team BRNZ, he and Jaune were old pals back in Mistral. Brawnz Ni, was a teenage male with Black hair that becomes gray towards the top and appears to be shaved down on one side and he had magenta eyes. His outfit consists of a pink sleeveless shirt that becomes white towards the top with a magenta scarf tied around his neck, a belt around his waist and hip, and black pants with black boots.
"Brawnz, you gonna introduce us or what?" Asked a girl
"Oh right! Jaune this is my team, the girl with the beanie over her eye is May Zedong" he said pointing to the girl
"sup!" She said with a smile. May was a young girl with light tan skin, dusky rose hair, and gray-blue eyes. She wore a red and white hoodie with blue tracksuit pants and a distinctive black beanie that covered her left eye. She also wore a large black scarf and red canvas sneakers.
"the guy with the saws on his wrist is Roy Stallion," Brawnz said point to him and Roy just nodded. Roy had brown hair with 3 dreadlock ponytails with gold rings in them, he also had green eyes. His outfit consists of a green vest with a tall collar over a black t-shirt, White gauntlets with brownish-green fingerless ends that also hold his golden boomerang saws, white shorts, and black, white, and gold tennis shoes.
"And the guy with the pink shades is Nolan Porfirio" he pointed at him
"Nice to meet you," Nolan said with a smile. Nolan was a teenage male with magenta hair, amber eyes, and slightly tan skin. Nolan's attire consists of a white shirt with a black hoodie and jean jacket vest over it, pink sunglasses tucked into the collar of his shirt, black fingerless gloves, black boots, and ripped magenta jeans with a bandage of some kind over his left pant leg.
"Nice to meet you all" Jaune said with a small smile
Gwen then looked to Jaune "Jaune I would also like you to meet my Team NDGO" Gwen said "the girl with the Trident is Dew Gayl" she said pointing at her
"nice to meet you" Dew said with a smile. Dew had fair skin with dark blonde hair swept to the side and violet eyes. Her outfit consists of a sleeveless green dress, a pauldron attached by chains on her right shoulder, a light green sarong tied around her waist, scale-like armor, and armored boots.
"the girl with the red hair is Octavia Ember," she said
"Pleased to meet you," She said with a smile and a wave and Jaune waved back. Octavia had fair tanned skin, brick red hair, and olive green eyes. Her outfit consists of a teal waistcoat with 2 long tails, A dark brown strapless top, and cropped vest, she wears 2 teal belts and sky blue pauldrons, a brown skirt with tan tips, and navy blue ankle boots.
"and then there's-"
"I'm Nebula Violette" the purple-haired girl interrupted. Nebula had lightly tanned skin with indigo hair brushed over to her left and olive green eyes. Her outfit consists of a light-necked tight-fitting gray shirt with dark gray accents and a breastplate, a long lilac coat with one long sleeve and the other rolled up, she also wears 2 leather straps attached to a shoulder pad, a leather belt wrapped around her dark gray pants and dark gray laced boots. She also wears black fingerless gloves.
"it's nice to meet you," Nebula said holding out a hand to shake
"it's a pleasure to meet you as well," Jaune said as he shook her hand
"Please, the pleasure's all mine handsome," Nebula said with a cheeky smile and Jaune just blushed
Now that everyone was introduced, the doors of the office opened once again and the room went quiet. An older woman walked in, she had jet black hair in a bob-cut and she had tan skin with bright yellow eyes like gems. She wore a black tube top and hanging from her shoulders was a white coat with light brown fur around the collar, as well as around the bottom and around the end of the sleeves, and she wore a pair of white pants and in her mouth was a large cigar. This was none other than Headmistress Cleo Olympias. She looked to the students as she walked to her desk and once she did she sat down and looked back to the students.
"I see you've all now been introduced," she said and walked to "now the reason I have brought both Your Here Mr. Arc, as well as Team NDGO here, is because you'll be helping BRNZ with their mission," she told them
"Hold up, Ms. Olympias, your already sending the new kid on a mission?" Octavia asked
"Yes, Jaune has already proved to me personally that he can handle himself, and I've decided that he as well as your team, will be assisting Team BRNZ with their mission," Ms. Olympias said
"What's the mission," Brawnz asked
Ms. Olympias looked at them with a clear look of seriousness on her face, "We've heard that some Grimm has been terrorizing a village called Anansi that's just 10 days from here, you will travel by foot and exterminate the Grimm, the reason I'm sending two teams and an operator is that the Villagers have not only reported a large number of Grimm but have also apparently been seeing some strange women pass by and heading here, I also want you to investigate and see if you can't find any of these women"
"Understood Headmistress," Brawnz said
Ms. Olympias nodded with a smile, "Now before you leave, pack your things, while I have a chat with Jaune alone" She said
Nebula and Brawnz nodded and led their teams out of the office, Brawnz waving goodby at him and Nebula and the others doing the same. Now, It was Just Jaune and Headmistress Olympias in the room
"Jaune, How have you been?" She asked
"As good as I can be" He replied
She nodded, "That's good," She said "Jaune, this mission, the reason I'm sending you with team BRNZ and NDGO is that I have reason to believe that these women that the villagers are concerned about, may be part of the same group of women that attacked you during your initiation"
Jaune was surprised, "Are you sure?" Jaune asked
"The reports describe the woman the same way you did in your report," Ms. Olympias told him "These women have also shown up many times in that past, dating back at least 10 years ago, though they've rarely been seen in those past 10 years, however, with more sightings of them, we've been getting worried," She said, her expression turned from serious to... confusion
Jaune looked at her and he could see that she was holding something back, but the question was what? Jaune realized that she had the same look when he had told her what had happened and what the women looked like.
"Headmistress, is there something else your not telling me?" Jaune asked, "Telling us?"
Ms. Olympias looked to Jaune and her expression returned to stern and serious, "No, not at all Jaune" She said "Please make your way to the dock and meet up with Team BRNZ and NDGO"
Jaune nodded and got up, but he still couldn't shake the feeling that the Headmistress was hiding something from him and the others, but he walked out of the office and all he really needed was what he had on and his sword and shield. Everything else was already in his new room, where ever that was.
Jaune just exited the office and walked down the hall until he was back at the elevator, and he pressed to go down to the ground floor, as the doors were closing, he sighed and a small smile graced his face
"Welcome to Shade," he said as the doors closed and the elevator took him back down to the ground floor

A/N: This Story was Inspired by the Fanfic "Jaune Arc: Student of Shade Academy" and a rewrite of the original "Arc of Vacuo" that I made. Again, I did take some elements such as Jaune being a solo huntsman. Jaune, however, doesn't get kicked out of Beacon in this one and He's pretty much the same Jaune.
While Jaune does have the basics of swordplay down as well as Aura, he still hasn't unlocked his semblance nor is he at the level of everyone else, he still weak compared to other students. I also should mention that I'll be adding some Characters from other shows/anime/manga as side characters or villains.
It should also be mentioned that while Salem will be hinted at, she and WTCH will play no role in this story because I assume that they were mostly busy and helping with the Fall of Beacon first.
So, it's just gonna be some villains I added since this is also before "The Crown" Showed up since they still are gathering an Army (RWBY: After the Fall and RWBY: Before The Dawn). But I hoped you enjoyed this chapter
