Some WR Angst because I enjoy your pain :)

Ruby's feet hammered on the ground. Her ragged cape flapped against the wind. She was careful not to use her dwindling aura on her semblance as she raced towards the others. Blake's leg injury was too bad for her to move, but Ruby felt safe leaving her with Yang and Nora to defend her. She just had to reach the others and get them to fall back. She slipped under a branch, barely avoided tripping on a gnarled root before bursting into the clearing. She saw Ren dragging the unconscious form of Oscar, firing away with Stormflower. In the center Jaune was trying to make himself as big a target as possible for the Grimm, warding them away form Ren, Oscar and
Weiss
Weiss was lying on her back by a tree a few feet away from Jaune. Her chest rose and fell irregularly, and just below it was a large gash in her stomach. The wound gaped and blood spilled out onto the ground. Weiss's coat and the grass around her was stained a deep, bloody red.
Red like roses.
Not again. Ruby couldn't lose another person she loved. Her eyes burned as she felt her emotions well up within her, the power almost making her head explode. With a scream that nearly tore her throat raw the silver light consumed her vision.
Ruby fell to her knees beside her partner, her head spinning as she used up the last of her energy with the burst of power. All around her the dissipating bodies of Grimm fell around her like ashen snow. Ruby didn't notice, she didn't even hear Jaune call out to her. All she was focused on was her partner.
Weiss stared up at her, a weak and pained smile forming on her face. Her smooth, pale skin was marred by blood and dirt, but even below it she could see that her partner was too white. Blood bubbled behind her blueing lips as they tried to curl into a grin.
"You dolt… you came back."
"I won't leave you, Weiss. We can still save you." Ruby panted, looking up at Jaune desperately. He was exhausted, and most of his aura was spent, but his semblance could still save her. All he needed to do was amp her aura while Ruby and Ren packed bandages into her wounds. Weiss was going to be okay, everything was going to be okay.
Then Oscar's body settled next to them. He was lowered down by Ren who quickly began tying a makeshift tourniquet on his wounded arm. Oscar groaned in pain, the boy of barely fifteen was clinging to life and a large laceration down his left side. His injuries were bad, but not nearly as serious as Weiss's. They would stabilize him after they made sure she was okay. Ruby looked to Jaune.
"What are you waiting for? Amp her aura, she's badly hurt!"
Jaune looked between the two wounded, an agonised expression on his face. Ren put a hand on his shoulder and Jaune looked up at him. Ren shook his head and moved to Oscar once more, trying to help the boy. Jaune looked down at Weiss, seemingly more in pain than she was. She rested a hand on his knee.
"Don't be a fool… Make the right choice" She rasped. Jaune hung his head and nodded. He sniffed and moved over to Oscar and laid his hands on the boy's chest. They glowed white as his aura flowed into them.
"What are you doing!?" Ruby cried, grabbing his shoulder. Ren caught her arm and pulled her back.
"We have to think clearly Ruby." He said softly, eyes glowing faintly pink. "Oscar can be saved, Weiss…" He trailed off looking at the dying girl. Suddenly it hit Ruby.
She's dying.
Weiss's hand caught Ruby's as she shifted to take Weiss's side.
"I'm sorry... I wasn't strong…" Weiss whispered. Beside them Jaune's shoulders began to shake softly. Ruby's own tears burned behind her eyes as she laid her hand on her partner's cheek.
"You're perfect Weiss. You always have been. It's my fault. If I was faster- or-or if I hadn't picked that path-"
Weiss gave a pained laugh, or tried to before it broke down into a coughing fit. "You're such a dolt… you -cough- you're going to be the greatest huntress." she smiled weakly. "I'm so happy you were my partner."
"Don't talk like that, Weiss. We're going to get you out of here. It's going to be-" she choked on her words, on her own lie. She knew what was happening. She could feel her partner fading in her arms. Weiss, her partner. The person she was closest to in the world, closer than Uncle Qrow or even Yang. The person she loved.
Oh gods, I'm in love with her.
And now it was too late. "Weiss I-" She began, but Weiss simply smiled.
"I know… Do you remember the first day of Beacon?" Ruby nodded, biting her lip and not trusting her voice. Weiss continued. "I remember how flustered I was when I first ran into you… someone so pretty," She chuckled softly. "That night when I yelled at you, I was so desperate… to see you again. Someone so spirited… so free… I thought I was going to die when you… were my partner… when you looked me in the eyes first." Weiss gazed softly up at Ruby, her bloodied hand coming up to stroke her partner's cheek.
"I love you, Ruby."
"I love you too, Weiss" Ruby whispered softly. Weiss smiled as her eyes glazed over, icey blue growing colder. Tears stained Weiss's cheeks, but they were not her own. There were no more tears for Weiss, no more pain. She was gone, far beyond them now, and Ruby was left, shaking and sobbing and cradling her love's limp body.
Wow wasn't that a lot of fun! Stay tuned.
