Chapter 1-Secret Thoughts

Cho's Dream

"I love you so much. I'll never leave you. No matter what," Harry said. Then, we had leaned toward each other, and kissed.

Suddenly, the door of the empty classroom opened, and an unwanted figure stood outside the door. It was Ginny.

Harry stopped kissing her and screamed, "Ginny! Ginny! I'm so sorry! I'll always choose you! She doesn't matter! You're the only one that matters!"

Then, Harry had kissed Ginny, and it looked as if Ginny had eaten Harry up. Harry wasn't there anymore. Then, Ginny had loomed over Cho turning like a shadow.

"He's mine! Stay away!" Ginny screamed at Cho.

And then Cho was suddenly falling. Falling, falling.

Cho's POV

Cho sat suddenly from her bed waking up from a bad dream. Panting and sweating she laid there thinking. She missed Harry. She really did. Although part of her wanted nothing to do with him. To end the horrible nightmare she had started with him. But she couldn't deny that part of her still loved Harry.

She hated what Harry had done to her. Abandoned her. Abandoned her with their 3 children. One of which he didn't even know was born. She sighed. How could Harry do this to her? They had loved each other. Loved their family. Loved their life. Harry had vowed that he would never leave her. And yet that promise had been broken. Harry had left her.

It was so hard for her to face that fact. She wished that Ginny had never been born. Had never existed. She wished that she could go back to Harry's loving arms. Once loving arms. She wished that she was 19 again, and Harry loved her. Loved her with all his heart. Loved her, and didn't care one bit about Ginny. But these were just pointless wishes. Pointless wishes, that were never meant to come true.

Harry's POV

It was night and his whole family was sleeping. Everyone except him. Although it had been years since he had had real trouble sleeping, there were times when he would not be able to sleep. He would lay there thinking about all the wrong, and bad things he had done. Tonight was one of those nights. But instead of the thoughts of Cedric, and Fred, and Remus that usually filled his mind, tonight he thought of Cho.

Cho, his ex-wife. Cho, who he had once loved. Cho, the mother of their 2 children who didn't even know him personally. Cho, who had taken Ginny's place for a short while.

He sighed, and grimaced at his thoughts.

Memories filled his mind. Memories of them kissing. Memories of them playing with his two young infant children. Memories of them being happy. But that was all in the past now. Ginny was whom he loved. Ginny was his right one. Cho was nothing compared to Ginny. Nothing at all.

But a voice filled his head saying, "That's the same thing you told Cho remember?"

Although devilish, and cruel the voice was, the voice was indeed right. He still remembered. He had told Cho that Ginny was nothing compared to her. That Cho was his all.

If part of him was being honest, he did miss Cho. He missed his children, and the family that they had made together. Sometimes he wished that he could go back several years, and experience the few years with Cho again.

But he quickly pushed this thought away. He couldn't think that way! He had 3 beautiful children, and an equally beautiful wife. He wouldn't throw that away for anything. Especially not Cho.

Ginny's POV

It was 6 in the morning. She had woken up early to prepare for Harry's birthday. She was making Harry his favorite breakfast: French toast with a side of mixed fruit. She had woken up extra early to prepare this. Harry always woke up so early in the morning, and although she had told him to sleep in a little, she knew he would be up at least by 7.

After minutes of tiring cooking, she finally had finished cooking. Precisely at the moment Harry came downstairs.

"Good morning, Harry!" she said to him. "Happy birthday!"

"Yeah, thanks Ginny," Harry said, trying to sound enthusiastic, but Ginny could sense that something was wrong.

"Is something the matter?" she asked. "Did I burn the toast?"

"No, no," he said distractedly. "Nothings wrong. It's wonderful! Thank you!"

But before Ginny could question, their 2 of their 3 children came down for breakfast.

"French toast!" James yelled, running to his seat at the table.

Albus followed close after him running as well.

"No running in the kitchen!" Ginny said, strictly. "Now where's Lily?" she asked.

"Upstairs," Albus answered, already spearing a piece of blueberry with his fork.

Ginny went up, to get Lily from her crib. She hoped that Harry would like breakfast, although he seemed a little troubled this morning. When she arrived at Lily's nursery, she took her from her crib, cradled her in her arms, and took her downstairs to where her happy family was enjoying their breakfast.
