Chapter One: The Guardians Gather

One morning as Alexis is walking she stops upon hearing laughing and goes to investigate while staying hidden and sees two boys and girl walking in the woods before turning to wolf form as she lays in a bush to keep out of sight.

"Should we really be out here? It's kinda far from town?" The girl asks.

"Yeah it's also really early." One of the boys says nervously as he looks around.

"Will you two quit your complaining? It's not that early and besides I really wanna try to find the white wolf." The other boys says.

"They're trying to find me?" Alexis thinks as she quietly follows the kids while staying hidden.

"Look guys legend says when you see a white wolf the Spirit of the Forest isn't too far from it." The boy says.

"Really? I always heard that when you hear a sirenic like howl it's the spirit watching over you." The girl says confusedly.

"There's a couple legends about the white wolf of this forest. But she's really hard to even catch. Very few have ever even seen her and those that have say she's there one minute and gone the next." The other boy says.

"That's just because they never brought a camera to take proof." One boy says as he holds up a camera before Alexis gives an annoyed look.

"Okay wise guy. You wanna play that way than fine by me. Let's see how brave you are." Alexis says as she sees a hollow log in nearby and smirks before going over to it and inside before growling viciously as it echoes.

"What was that?" The girl asks fearfully hearing the echoing from Alexis.

"I don't know." One of the boys says.

"It sounds angry." The girl says.

"Oh relax. It's probably just the wind." The boy holding the camera says before Alexis barks and howls angrily.

"That wasn't the wind!" The girl shouts fearfully.

"Ah. I'm getting out of here!" The boy shouts as he runs off.

"Hey wait for us!" The girl shouts as she and the other boy run off.

"That ought to teach them to stay home." Alexis says as she crawls out of the log.

"Scaring kids are we? That's not very guardian like." A voice says revealing to be Bunnymund.

"Well they shouldn't of been out here alone to start with. Besides that will teach that smarty kid trying to take my picture." Alexis says as she shifts to human form

"They're humans. They're enjoy trying to prove things about us guardians. Come on then. North is wanting us to meet with him." Bunnymund says as Alexis follows him.

*Timekskip*

"This better be good North." Bunnymund says as the group arrives at the North Pole.

"Sandy! Thank you for coming. I know, I know but I obviously wouldn't have called you all here unless it was serious! The boogeyman was here! At the Pole!" North says.

"Huh! Pitch? Pitch Black? Here?" Toothiana asks.

"Yes... There was black sand covering the globe." North says as he gestures to the giant globe.

"Black sand?" Alexis asks.

"And then a shadow!" North says.

"Hold on, hold on. I thought you said you saw Pitch!" Bunnymund asks as he is painting an Easter egg.

"Well uh not exactly..." North says as Sandman responds with a question mark symbol.

"Not exactly?! Can you believe this guy? Yeah. You said it Sandy." Bunnymund says as he goes back to painting his egg.

"Look, he's up to something very bad. I feel it... in my belly!" North says.

"Hang on, hang on- Y-you mean to say you summoned me here 3 days before Easter because of your belly?! Mate if I did this to you 3 days before Christmas-" Bunnymund then gets cut off by North.

"Please Bunny. Easter is not Christmas!" North says happily.

"Here we go... North I- I don't have time for this! I still have 2 billion eggs to finish up!" Bunnymund says angrily.

"No matter how much you paint it is still an egg." North says as Alexis shakes her head as Bunnymund and North argue while Toothiana is talking about her work.

"And it begins.. What is it Sandy?" Alexis asks as she feels Sandman pulling on her sleeve before pointing up as Alexis sees the Man in the Moon in the sky.

"Oh I got ya. No worries. Hey! Earth to Guardians!" Alexis says as the others look at her.

"What?" Bunnymund and North ask in union.

"Care to look up?" Alexis asks as the others see the Man in the Moon.

"Ah! Man in Moon! Sandy, Alexis why didn't you say something?" North asks as Sandman gives a frustrated look.

"Uh we did." Alexis says in annoyance.

"It's been a long time old friend! What is big news?" North asks as Man in the Moon shines a light on the guardian emblem and the shadow looks like Pitch.

"It is Pitch..." Bunnymund says.

"Manny what must we do?" North asks as he pats his stomach before the emblem opens up to reveal a crystal rising up from the floor.

"Uh guys you know what this means?" Toothiana asks.

"He's choosing a new Guardian..." North says in amazement.

"What?! Why?" Bunnymund asks in annoyance.

"Must be big deal. Manny thinks we need help." North says.

"Since when do we need help?" Bunnymund asks.

"I wonder who he'll pick. The last time it was me." Alexis says.

"Maybe the Leprechaun?" Toothiana asks

"Please not the Groundhog, please not the groundhog..." Bunnymund says as the crystals turns into a human figure.

"Jack Frost." Alexis says.

"Uh I take it back. The Groundhog's fine." Bunnymund says nervously.

"Well a-as long he helps to uh to protect the children. Right?" Toothiana ask as Alexis nods in agreement.

"Jack Frost!? He- He doesn't care about children! A'ight all he does is freeze water pipes and mess with my egg hunts! Alright? He's an irresponsible, selfish-"Bunnymund then gets cut off by North.

"Guardian." North says.

"Jack Frost is many things but he is not a Guardian." Bunnymund says annoyedly.

"But how will we know unless we give him a chance? Besides you didn't exactly want me to be a Guardian back around the time you found me and yet I got chosen 100 years later and another 100 years here I am now." Alexis says as Bunnymund looks at her.

"Jack Frost is nothing but trouble. I didn't want you to be a Guardian because you became my adopted daughter after I found you. But you've proven yourself quite a bit since then. He has not. Some people are just meant to be Guardians and Jack Frost is no exception." Bunnymund says sternly.

Life story: Alexis was born in the mountains with her mother and her father. She is the only one of her litter. Her parents and pack both were killed when she was 3 by another wolf and his pack. Thanks to her mother she survived the slaughter. Not long after she risked her life to protect a forest along with its inhabitants and a village nearby from a very large forest fire and became a guardian as a result.
