Power Heroes First Flight Chapter 1 Bring everyone together
The morning air spread all over the city of Metropolis as Twilight Sparkle was sitting on her workbench, working on one of her metallic wings to make sure they work properly. A sudden vibration pulled the hero from her work, she groaned as she was a little annoyed that someone interrupted what she thought is important.
She answered the phone a little annoyed, "Hello?" she answered, being as polite as possible.
"Twilight if this is a bad time, I can call you back later" said a woman who sounded soft spoken on the phone.
"Oh, Fluttershy I'm sorry I thought you were someone else, so how's the anger management going?" Twilight asked.
"It's doing alright, that was until I got this strange letter to come to the tower out in Metropolis" Shy said as she walked towards the place she just described.
"Why is that?" Twilight asked concerned.
"Something about a threat to our society and bringing us all together because of our special powers" Shy said.
"Well, that may be true but after we all moved on with our lives, I'm surprised that Celestia wants us back together" Twilight said.
"Maybe we're brought back for a reason" Shy thought.
Twilight never imagined that Tia would need the help of the heroic 6 but maybe this was just coincidence then again, she could be wrong.
"I'll welcome you guys with open arms" Twilight responded, looking at a still photo of her friends.
"I can't wait to see you again Twilight" Shy said, smiling brightly.
"You too Fluttershy" Twilight replied, smiling back.
Both girls hung up the phone and Twilight continued to look at the high school photo of her friends but two people stood out to her, that being Starlight Glimmer and Sunset Shimmer.
I wonder where they are now Twilight wondered.
For right now, she needed to analyze the strange file Tia sent her about the Power Heroes project. All she knew was that an unknown threat was coming to Metropolis and Twilight needed to contact her friends for they have special powers that may counterattack this threat.
A bunch of army jeeps came around as Spitfire checked out some of the more sensitive material. Everything looked okay, nothing seemed out of place along with the staff of Anubis, one of the 5 Egyptian power items which would be kept in the Wonderbolt base. One of the jeeps came into a big well-lit room full of scientists and Spitfire's two best soldiers: Soarin and Fleetfoot.
"So, what does this thing do anyway?" Fleetfoot asked.
"This is the staff of Anubis, a staff of absolute power that when you hold it you have the power to bring the dead back to life and they serve the person who controls the staff" Spitfire explained.
"So, what you're saying is someone uses this staff and they become a necromancer in a way?" Soarin asked.
"In a way yes" Spitfire replied.
The jeep lowered the ramp and when it lowered, what came to view was Starlight Glimmer holding the staff, much to Spitfire's surprise. Fleetfoot went to punch her but she grabbed her hand and performed a palm strike that sent Fleetfoot flying into the wall hard back first before hitting the ground hard face first. Before Spitfire and Soarin could do anything, Starlight used her magic to freeze them both as she stepped off the jeep.
"Now that the peanut gallery has ended, let's see what we have here" Starlight said, walking past the downed and frozen Wonderbolts.
She noticed a file on the table labeled Egyptian Items and before she could peak at it, a golden horseshoe hit Starlight in the head as she turned around to notice a woman with dirty blonde hair wrapped in a green tube to make it look like a ponytail, her costume consisted of a red and black color scheme with a holster that kept the golden horseshoes and rope.
"I'm sorry but I won't let you do that," said the mysterious hero.
"Miss Marvelous I never knew that you would crawl out of that dirty farm you love so much" Starlight mocked.
"You really think I'm going to let you psych me out, I'm not that kind of hero" Marvelous replied, keeping her cool.
Starlight rushes Marvelous and punched her hard in the stomach, sending her skidding and comes to find out that she grabbed Glimmer's hand. All Marvelous did was return the favor but instead of hitting her in the stomach she went for the face which broke her nose. Before Starlight could react, Marvelous kneed her in the face that made blood start to come out of her nose and mouth as Starlight struggled to stand up.
She's stronger than I thought Starlight thought.
Miss Marvelous rushed over Starlight Glimmer but she hit her with the staff which caused a powerful shockwave of power that sent Marvelous flying into the wall back first, this gave her a chance to escape.
When Marvelous came to, she noticed that Starlight was already gone. She felt disappointed but decided to help the two frozen wonderbolts Spitfire and Soarin. After breaking them free, Soarin was too shaken up to say anything so Spitfire contacted the local authorities and Fleetfoot was taken to the Metropolis Hospital.
A car came by and Twilight came out of the car and surveyed the gruesome scene. Miss Marvelous removed her mask to reveal that she indeed was Applejack, one of Twilight's friends and from what Twilight saw, it would appear that she handled this very well.
"AJ I-" Twilight wanted to say something but Applejack cut her off.
"You don't need to explain to me about anything Twilight, I already got the letter along with everyone else" Applejack said, showing her friend the white envelope with her name on it.
"Let's talk in the tower" Twilight said, offering to give Applejack a ride.
Applejack kindly agrees and gets in the passenger's side as her and Twilight drove away from the wonderbolts base and on their way to the tower.
Starlight struggled as she walked into the underground bunker after Miss Marvelous nearly broke her nose, she went into the bathroom and looked at it. The nose looked a little crooked but was broken beyond repair.
"That damned hero," Starlight almost her cool but regained her composure, "I need to stay calm because I have the staff and I will use it to not only raise the dead but also rule this world" she added.
She then left the bathroom and went to the living room and examined the staff of Anubis. Starlight was overjoyed at the fact that she possessed the power of life and death was in her hands. Looking over her shoulder noticing a portrait of one of her friends Sunset Shimmer who went off the grid which angered a lot of people.
"This world will soon know what real fear is" Starlight proclaimed, clutching the staff tightly.
