Hello readers.
Okay, so this takes place right after the final scene of Elementary season 4. Really if I had to pick some earlier point to end the show than seven, I would have picked season four.
Frankly season one and season four are about equal for being some of the show's best seasons hands down. Then probably three because season 2 had Watson/Mycroft romance that had no sense with a waste of Mycroft with his actor.
Season 5 had the whole Shinwell story which just did not paint Sherlock in the best light for no other purpose than creating pointless melodrama. Next, despite the praise, it gets I dislike the whole ending of season 6 for Captain Gregson being at his hypocritical, judgmental jerk for being willing to sell out Watson and Sherlock all to protect his daughter regardless of has jumping down Sherlock's throat for outside the law actions in the past.
And to make it all worse the show bends over backward to support this bullcrap with even Watson doing so instead of being disgusted at Gregson for willing to let her go to prison all to protect his daughter who killed Michael Rowan. Not Watson being disgusted over this.
Sherlock and Watson may have broken the law at times to see justice done but it was always their necks on the line. They never sold out their friends.
Even in season 7 had Sherlock apologize to Gregson for absolutely nothing when Gregson was going to sell Watson and Sherlock by proxy to the FBI all to protect his daughter. On top of blaming Sherlock for Michael Rowe's actions yet, Gregson never once apologizes in the whole dang season.
Then season 7 had far too OP villain to ridiculous extents with the series final was just rather rushed and messy. Not to mention pointlessly killing off Morland Holmes for no conceivable reason. Quite dumb too since you're telling me Morland who thinks ahead and runs Moriarty's former network let himself be killed that easily? Okay whatever.
Frankly, by the later seasons, it's almost like the writers had given up yet didn't want to end the show.
Another thing that really irks me is various times post season 1 where the writing just has Sherlock and Watson at each other's throats, or acting OCC just to create dumb as heck melodrama. *pinches the bridge of my nose* I utterly loathe this type of dumb storytelling.
Enough of my tangent and on with the story.
Meeting his eyes sympathetically "You are not your father; you never will be. If he thinks he needs to be alone for the rest of his life, that is his problem" Watson says caringly.
"So, do you suppose your sister will help us sell this place?" Sherlock replies and gladly letting old doubt doubts fade away.
"That's a good question. We can ask her over dinner. We should ask Marcus to join, too" Watson says.
"What does he know about real estate?" Sherlock inquires confused.
"Probably nothing, but he's single and so is Lin," Watson says grinning.
"And to think that my father thought that I was the greatest threat to our circle of friends" Sherlock replies in partial amusement and concern while walking away.
"Well, what's the worst thing that could happen?" Watson asks turning around.
"Could end up breaking up with your sister because his heart's really elsewhere" Sherlock says quietly.
"Huh?" Watson inquires.
"Oh, did I say that out loud?" Sherlock inquires mildly embarrassed, like usual not the best when comes to feelings.
"Yes, did something happen between Fiona and you? Heard you play the violin a few nights ago" Watson states curiously.
"It's… there's no getting around this?" Sherlock asks trying to push down his fear.
Watson seeing how strangely petrified her partner, her friend, and the man she's fallen in love with, through pushes that down, walks over gently taking his hand meeting his gaze. A sense of relief seems to pass through his body.
"Not if you don't want to talk, I won't push," Watson says.
"I ended my relationship with Fiona, not because of she can't compare to Moriarty but it's not fair comparing Fiona to you" Sherlock replies nervously.
"Compare her to me… what do you?" Watson questions trailing off.
Sherlock letting out an exhale then decides to throw caution to the wind by leaning over captures Watson's lips in a kiss. After pausing from disbelief, she eagerly returns the kiss passionately while her arms make their way up his chest. Meanwhile, Sherlock's hands go down over her body, eliciting a light moan from Watson. They break apart for a moment as the only sounds filling the wide, empty open spaces are their breathing and rapid hearts beating.
"Wow," Watson says after a moment.
"That good huh? Better than my brother?" Sherlock asks smirking.
"I meant I didn't expect that, and you are good at that. Well, more of different but you're better in ways Mycroft can never be" Watson replies.
"So, are you," Sherlock says.
Nodding "Given you own the property and given all the years we've spent together with no doubt pushing aside our attraction, there a bedroom around here? One Morland never used" Watson inquiries.
Looking off to the side "Down the hall to the right and on the left. First door you come upon with the rather expensive handle. I'd say two hundred by my rough deduction" Sherlock says.
"Well let's try not to break it" Watson replies smirking.
Sherlock taking Watson's hand begins leading them to the room where upon arrival opens the door, and swiftly enters. Watson leans over kissing Sherlock while unbuttoning his suit jacket and tossing it aside. Meanwhile, Sherlock not breaking off removes the tie from around his partner's neck, and briefly stopping Watson takes off her blouse as well. Leaving Watson in nothing more than her pants, a bra, and her shoes. Sherlock merely stands there quietly for a moment.
"You okay?" Watson asks.
"Merely memorizing your beauty" Sherlock replies.
"Oh," Watson says lightly flushed.
Removing their shoes, socks, and pants for tossing them elsewhere Watson steps kissing Sherlock on the lips while wrapping her hips around his midriff as he carries them over to the bed. Gently laying Watson down Sherlock breaking off leaving kisses tenderly down to her breasts as Watson increases her moans while gripping Sherlock's hair.
Later in the bedroom
Tangled among the sheets Sherlock and Watson are laying naked with their bodies sweat covered as an aroma of sex is in their air, while laying in each other's arms.
"You know I am most impressed with your stamina Watson," Sherlock says.
"Glad I was proficient," Watson says grinning.
"Actually, given us now having crossed this barrier I actually have various experiences I would like to try with you," Sherlock says.
"Hmm I'm not sure if I should be concerned or excited" Watson replies dryly.
"Both perhaps?" Sherlock inquires.
"Maybe" Watson replies "You know this doesn't have to change much between us. I'm not expecting it to nor do I think it should."
"What do you mean?" Sherlock asks confused.
"Let's face it we don't have normal lives. After all, I left my last relationship due to that. Perhaps a break for an actual dinner, every now or then like a couple. The sex obviously nevertheless I'm not expecting us as a normal relationship" Watson replies.
"I find those terms to be acceptable Watson. And, in a way, I am relieved on lessening a chance of us ruining everything trying to fit into roles that are not us" Sherlock says.
"Glad you do" Watson replies grinning.
Looking around "You know I'm having second thoughts on selling this place. It might actually be worthwhile dwelling for either us or if needed keeping a witness safe. Or if the worst happened for the Brownstone being gone" Sherlock says.
"Hmm, good planning. Especially given when we've gone up against global terrorist organizations" Watson replies.
"My thoughts exactly," Sherlock says.
"Still, it would be nice for returning to normal crime instead of dealing with the left-over traces of Moriarty's organization," Watson says.
"I absolutely agree" Sherlock replies.
"Don't you have an AA meeting to get to soon?" Watson asks.
"I no longer go. Considering how you start by describing yourself as an addict and looking at the numbers is possibly a high reason for why people often spiral backward. Being in AA groups didn't help my relapse last year, it had its place once in my life, however, I feel it is no longer needed" Sherlock explains.
Letting out an exhale "Okay I'll trust you on this, and you do have a point about the introductions reinforcing you're a user. Just be careful" Watson says warmly but cautiously.
"I always am Watson," Sherlock says.
Scoffing in amusement "Yeah sure Sherlock" Watson says.
"Not like your any better" Sherlock replies.
Suddenly one of their phones goes off for a text message then the other causing both of them to get out of bed and walking over to the pile of clothes to retrieve their phones. Both enjoying the sight of seeing the other nude through quickly focus back on the task.
"It's Detective Bell. Gregson wants us for a homicide including a murdered couple with a fake goat hung from a ceiling fan" Watson says.
"Either going to be interesting or incredibly dull, either way, curious to find out," Sherlock says happily.
Nodding Watson gets dressed once more as does Sherlock and once done proceed to make their way out of the room, eventually the building where they hail a cab.
Hope you all enjoyed this and leave a review letting me know what you think if you want.
One thing I did want to phase out is the constant use of Sherlock with the being former addict stuff because I feel it got very old after a while. The constant use of going to the meetings, and Sherlock's relapses even in the series finale.
Like I get this drug and relapse might be more fitting to real-life reality yet in TV format it did kind of get old after a while.
Even in season 7, the writers said that Sherlock had quit going to AA meetings altogether following Michael Rowan mess. I would have preferred if they put that in the show itself.
Until next time.
