Chapter 1 Heartbreak

"I will be there in a moment. Over." Said Beast Boy before running out of the school he was currently in.

He had wanted to invite Terra once more into his life, the beautiful blond girl with a knack to transform the earth.

She had laughed at his jokes, been there for him and accepted his love.

But it seemed that fate did not want them to be together.

While Beast Boy went with the motto of him not being smart enough to do everything but certainly being dumb enough to try everything, he wasn't that dumb.

He was loud, obnoxious and attention seeking but he had a brain.

So it was no wonder that he realized that Terra still had her memories about him. The memories of her time spent with the Teen titans, the memories spent with him and the memories with Slade.

However he also realized that Terra did not want to be in the world of superheroes anymore. She just wanted to live a peaceful life. A life without trouble, superheroes and superpowers.

Where the most troubled thing that awaited her was the geometry test next period.

This also meant no contact with any teen titans and rejecting the token as it might implicate her in some way or form.

Beast Boy suppressed his tears as he run out of the school that Terra currently attended.

The students of the school were pointing at him and whispering.

In Jump City, the teen titans were akin to celebrities and protectors.

So it was no wonder that he as one of the five members was known amongst the youngsters.

Beast Boy ignored the smiles, the whispers and the pointers.

Robin had called for an emergency.

Which was solved before Beast Boy could arrive at the location.

It seemed that Raven and Starfire had overwhelmed the foe before he was able to arrive.

Seeing that Beast Boy had arrived, Starfire floated over and said:

"Friend Beast Boy are you okay?"

Beast Boy caught himself to have an empty hollow gaze before forcing himself to smile and said:

"Oh yeah! I hope that you didn't miss me while you were kicking these villains butt."

Raven stared at him with absolutely no change in reaction. Cyborg came over and patted his shoulders.

"How about some pizza tonight?" Suggested Cyborg into the round.

As the group had nothing against it, Pizza was the dish that was eaten as lunch.

When the teen titans finished eating the Pizza they had ordered, they did whatever they liked to do in their free time.

Starfire went with Raven to go shopping at the place called Shopping Market. Cyborg continued to work on his car and Robin trained.

There wouldn't be a meeting of the teen titans anytime soon except for emergencies.

This left Beast Boy plenty of time alone as he stared at the blue sky.

Occasionally white clouds would pass by, forming different shapes.

He lied on top of the Teen Titans tower, a building owned by Victor Stone who also went with Cyborg.

'I wanted to go cloud watching with Terra…' Thought Beast Boy as he remembered about Terra.

Since there was no one here, Beast Boy allowed his suppressed emotions to burst out.

Streams of tears flowed down his cheeks as Beast Boy didn't knew what to do.

He was successful in fooling his team members that everything was alright.

But he certainly wasn't.

Time passed as the sun settled behind the horizon and the blue sky was replaced by a starry night sky.

Beast Boy had long prepared a comfortable location to watch the stars, even in the chilly temperature.

Blankets surrounded him, a couple snacks and water bottles lied next to him in case he got hungry.

Many pillowed lied around, giving him a comfortable lying position.

With absolute awe Beast Boy stared at the night sky.

It seemed that there was no emergency after today as the Teen Titan Token did not receive any emergency calls.

"What happened Beast Boy?" Sounded a voice that was familiar.

Turning around, Beat Boy saw Robin, fully equipped in his pajama. Although it was a pajama, it still reminded him of an armor.

"Oh, Robin. Nothing happened." Replied Beast Boy as he turned his gaze towards the stars once again. "I just wanted to watch the stars."

For a moment, Robin stayed silent before interrupting the silent once more:

"While you believe that you have fooled us, we are not blind. What happened? Through the data I collected you visited a school today. What did you do there?"

Beast Boy did not reply, his gaze was still directed towards the starry night sky.

Today was certainly a great day for watching stars. New moon with no clouds and only a little bit of light interference.

As the Teen Titans tower was outside of the metropolis of Jump city.

As Beast Boy continued to stay silent, he did not notice how Robin put something on.

Goggles.

Beast Boy also did not notice how Robin unequipped the goggles and slowly approached him.

The sound of someone laying down right next to him was heard as Beast Boy saw Robin wrapping himself with some blankets and creating a comfortable place for himself.

For a while, the two stayed silent. Each with their own thoughts.

"You know… I don't really know… but I saw Terra today. She wished for a peaceful life with no superheroes and no superpowers. I begged her to come back, to stay with me. I offered a Teen Titan token. However she wanted to live an ordinary life." Spoke Beast Boy with a sad tone.

Robin didn't reply for a while before offering his thoughts:

"If she wants to live an ordinary life, then let her. We can't choose the path that people take in their life. We can only do the best thing for them and if it means leaving…"

Robin stared at the starry night sky before finishing:

"Then we should stay outside of their lives."

This statement resonated with Beast Boy as he tried to suppress his tears.

With a croaked voice, Beast Boy asked:

"Then how do I make that pain go away?"

Silent permeated the rooftop before Robin spoke:

"Training. Training will make you stronger and thus change you. With the change, one is more prepared to live through the pain."

'Training? I never trained. I only play around. But if this is what it takes…' Thought Beast Boy as he still could feel his heart ache whenever he thought of Terra.

"What should I train? What do you mean by change?" Asked Beast Boy with the same croaked voice.

"Training is the notion of surpassing things that seem almost impossible. Through overcoming the obstacle in training, you will come out stronger. Before you know, you changed yourself and become someone different." Stated Robin with his usual monotone voice.

"Then would you train me?" Asked Beast Boy hopefully with his croaked voice.

"No. But I know someone that might. In Asia, there is someone called the true Master. She has trained me when I showed my willpower. She also possesses a lot of wisdom." Said Robin before giving Beast Boy a token.

"This is something that will guide you to the abode of the true master. I made this thing shortly after my training, should the time arise that I need more training."

With shaky arms, Beast Boy received the token.
