I present to you...badass Diamond! Diamond/Jaclyn Perry is my original character who can metal bend and teleport, but her quirks have limitations. She is 25, Mira [Dabi and Jaclyn's kid] is 4, Dabi is 29, Sero is 22 and Toga is 21 in this story. Jaclyn is still a pro hero with her own agency at this time, and I decided to make Sero her sidekick because he deserves more love. I'll have more wEiRd banter from Dabi and Jaclyn so be warned for that.

If none of the trigger warnings bother you, read ahead. I hope you love it as much as I do 33)

Who Is In Control: Pt. 1 [ACTION]

"Are you sure you can handle this area by yourself, Diamond-senpai?" Cellophane, her sidekick, asked with a concerned voice. He wasn't used to seeing this side of his mentor and close friend. "I will tear that entire block apart to get my daughter back. I won't let him near her again." Diamond growled ferociously in reply before realizing how she sounded. "Fuck, I'm sorry! I-I-I didn't mean that. I just...I can't lose her...I've lost enough to the criminal actions forced onto the people of this city." Jaclyn Perry apologized, suddenly feeling a shiver down her spine. Even the many comforts and allies at her side didn't settle her nerves when Mira was in danger. "Don't worry, we'll find her. The heroes always win, right?" Sero added in an effort to calm her down.

He'd seen his mentor on the brink of animalistic fury in a fight, it wasn't pretty. It was like Diamond forgot who she was. The unbreakable hero turned into the exact person she vowed to never become and she barely escaped her transformation. Cellophane didn't want either of them to witness that again.

"Yeah." Diamond smiled slightly, the comfort of her sidekick helping out sinking in. "Thanks Cellophane, I needed that." Jaclyn replied before molding two old cell phones from her pouch into gauntlets around her arms. "No problem." He grinned back. "Do you know where they're hiding her?" The tape hero asked to review.

"The League of Villains hideout, I know where it is. Just follow my lead until I tell you to follow Sarah through the back." Diamond explained discreetly. "Sarah?" He repeated curiously. "I mean Cactus, sorry." She apologized, "My brain is so scattered, and I'm terrified for Mira. What happened to Eri a few years ago...I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if something like that happened to my own and only daughter. And if I couldn't save her from that kind of trauma..."

Sero nodded and patted her shoulder with understanding, even though he couldn't relate to being a parent. "We're going to find her Diamond-senpai. I'll make sure of it." He declared supportively and clenched one of his hands into a fist. She giggled and unraveled his fingers. "You're gonna need that hand for fighting. I know you will, and I know that Mira can take care of herself, but I can't help but worry. I can't escape that undeniable fear that I can't protect any of you who are putting their lives on the line for me and my kid." Diamond confessed abruptly.

"Are you ready to teleport there with me?" She queried, coercing a confident smirk on her face. "Let's kick some ass." Sero grinned back. "You know the drill. Don't let go of my hands or me in general. Since I've gotten better with speeding up my teleportation, we'll be there in about..." The scenery of Diamond's office disappeared as the two heroes appeared in an alleyway a few steps away from the League's hideaway.

"3 seconds. Stay on our guard, Cellophane. Underestimating your opponents can get you killed." She whispered, pressing a hand on his shoulder as they squatted behind a wall. "Are you sure Cactus is in there?" The taping hero mumbled as their eyes scanned the area with the slightly hidden view they had. "Yeah. Stay here, I'm going after Dabi. Call backup if you need to." Diamond commanded softly. "I don't think that's a-damn it..." Cellophane groaned as his mentor stepped closer to the shack's entrance and the villain guarding it. To aggravate his dismay, she created a metal wall between them.

"I thought you didn't want anything to do with me anymore, princess~" Dabi teased as his huffing ex-girlfriend stood in front of him. Her teeth were clenched from rage. A tall, thick barrier between them and the rest of the area made from an old soda can quickly rose at the swirling of her wrists. "Don't call me that. Where is she?" Diamond seethed impatiently, "Where is my daughter, Touya." He stretched his arms like a cat and cackled in amusement. "You know Mira is my daughter too. You could care less about her father trying to form a bond with her." The arsonist mused jokingly. "It's ridiculous you think I would still be naïve enough to believe that. The only bond you would start with my daughter would be bathing in her blood." Diamond huffed bitterly. "I may be a villain, but I'm not that callous, dollface. This isn't a matter of killing my own kid, that's not what we're doing. It's crippling society at its core." Dabi snapped.

"You would burn her grandfather to a crisp." She replied impulsively. Her hands moved quickly, molding one of her earrings into a sort of baton and using it to fan the flames away from her. "You aren't any better, if we're talking about my side." Dabi argued. "I am." Diamond hissed as the fire soared closer to her face. Her lower arms gradually started getting tired from twirling the flames away with her makeshift baton. He stepped closer and further away from the hideout entrance, dialing down the flames. "It's a shame she'll never see her mother again... If you're lucky, I won't turn you into kindling, princess." The arsonist teased.

Diamond's chocolate brown eyes changed into an ominous, shimmering lime green color, the kind you would see in Disney movies during the villain scenes. "I will see my daughter again and I will save her if it's the last thing I do." She barked as her body started to levitate. Her arms and hands danced in a flash and took out more scrap metal from her pouch so it floated in front of her. It was hard to see the pro hero molding the metal into arrows and spears further away from him. "And you say you can turn me into kindling." Jaclyn sneered coldly and flicked her wrists so the arrows and spears flew. She smirked as one of them left a slit on the side of Dabi's throat.

"Now tell me, Dabi. Where is my goddamn child?" Diamond bellowed fiercely. As the manipulation antihero stepped away from him, her arms and wrists molded the arrows and spears stuck in the wall that barely missed him into floating shields that revolved around her. "You do realize not everything is about you and having that 'perfect little happy ending', right? She is the essential piece of the one plan I've come up with that handjob and All For One approve of. Plus, shouldn't our daughter have the chance to know who both of her parents are? I'm not giving Mira up easy, little mouse. I don't give a fuck if this little Avatar state act might lead to my funeral, you aren't getting in my way." Dabi growled with just as much aggression.

"I'd rather rot in hell than let Mira suffer at your hands." Diamond answered tartly, "I'm going to ask you again because I'm done with the games. Where is she?" Her eyes twitched attentively and desperate for an answer, but hoping not to show it. Flames spewed from Dabi's hands as he tried to melt her metal shields. "You underestimate me." She seethed from behind and harshly pushed him onto the ground face first. "I can't help it, you look so cute trying to fight me." He retorted teasingly, his voice muffled.

"Bite me." Diamond snarled under her breath, eyes still glowing an unnatural lime green. "Gimme a time and I'll be there, princess~" Dabi chuckled and pushed her off of him. "No, in your dreams." She huffed. "Still only talking to me for Mira, you're so selfish." He pouted sarcastically. "You have perception issues if you think me trying to save my daughter is selfish!" She shrieked, growing more and more aggravated.

Spiky metal shards spewed out of her mouth, almost rapid fire, and Dabi struggled to dodge them. "I knew you had a dark side in there somewhere." He mused and suddenly melted the shards that came too close to his face. "You'd be surprised how dark I'll get to bring my daughter home." Diamond murmured in reply from behind him, a makeshift dagger brushing the base of his neck. "Remind me not to get in the way of your psycho mode." The arsonist commented, "Or not." Her lips moved before she realized how petrifyingly close the flame in his hand was to her own neck. "I don't think I'll have to-"

Out of nowhere, Cellophane jumped off the building he was overseeing from and used his tape to swing down. "Here," She squeaked, tossing the baton she turned into a frying pan to her sidekick while he was in the air. "Sweet." Sero grinned and hit Dabi across the head with it.

Diamond sighed and teleported in front of him. "What happened back there?!" Cellophane exclaimed, "You could've died!" Her pupils reappeared as her eyes returned to their natural dark brown color, but her hands still twitched from the discomfort of almost dying. "God, that took forever." She groaned tiredly and watched Dabi fall to the ground unconscious. "Well, at least you know who is in control now." Sero replied with a hopeful smile.

"Yeah, us. And we're going to find my daughter if it kills me." Diamond took back the frying pan and turned it into a spiked bat, bashing it against the door.
